After the Lions' capture of you and your father, Scorpio, and Scorpix' ascension to the rank of Scorpion Supreme Leader, Scorpix, who'd started to grow suspicious of Scortica Breen, managed to get a few spies close to him, and found out about the Combine; not everything about them, just the basics, and their plan to takeover Scorpion Cavern Castle. Scorpix learned about this soon after creating the Republic... and just before those spies were discovered and taken out by the Combine."
"So of course, Scorpix came up with a plan to counter the Combine, a plan which he told only those closest to him: us Praetorian Guards, and the Republic Consuls that you now know as Craunus Maximus and Calloran Fen. Scorpix was going to tell Scorponok and the royals of the Crawler Empire of this plan, but Scorm was deceased at the time, you, Scorpio, were captured by the Lions, Bliston was captured by the Gorillas, and you, Scorpia, as well as Scorponok, were far too close to Scortica, co-managing the HQ with him. The Combine-controlled HQ would be sandwiched between two Scorpion armies, and the Combine would be surrounded and crushed. You see, we weren't able to contact the Republic, since Scorpix had been, understandably, using an encrypted chiwave that only he and the Consuls could radio each other with, so the Consuls, having not gotten a call from Scorpix, didn't even know that Scortica had taken over Scorpion HQ."

Indeed, our allied forces outnumbered the Combine and gained the upper hand, but when the Bears started bombing the Caverns from above, Sirius and I left the rest of Team Stinger, not out of cowardice, but to get to the Consuls, and bring the Republic army over to stop the Bears from destroying the HQ. You bet Sirius and I rode speedorz as fast as we could to the west, but by the time we reached the Consuls, it was too late. Thus, the newly dug tunnels beneath the Eagle, Wolf, and Croc lands remained the Republic's HQ, instead of the destroyed Scorpion Cavern Castle, and Sirius and I joined the Republic, believing for a long time that Scorponok, the other non-frozen Praetorian Guards, and you, Scorpia, had all been destroyed along with the Caverns."

I am surprised, Scorpio. I thought you didn't want to lead the tribe, and it'd been Scrin's influence that drove you to build Scorm City. Perhaps you've changed your mind, after your father challenged your leadership? In any case, the Scorpion Tribe is now better as a democracy, as Scorpix suspected it would be. We won't have monarchs anymore, but perhaps you two can work your way up the political sphere and eventually be elected as Consuls, if you want to lead the tribe again. You already have the people's trust, of course."
