Yeah, but I still can't believe we finally have less than a year to go! It seems like we've been waiting so long it's hard to fully comprehend that. They're done filming now, too, I believe. Only a matter of time before we get our first teaser!

I kind of agree with you. Some people act like they'd rather have EU over the new canon, but, well.....

Actually though, a lot of the EU does sound to out there and not well written to me. Zahn's stuff is almost completely amazing, and there's a lot of other good stuff, but some of it....eh, no. Like the Yuuzhan Vong War. And the Jacen solo thing.
Still, though, the Thrawn trilogy is Star Wars at its finest. :joke: Well. A New Hope and Empire come close. :joke:

I'm reading the Legacy of the Force series right now and completely agree with you that the whole Second Galactic Civil War thing is stupid.
But the Thrawn Trilogy is amazing, Allegiance and Choices of One are good, and Outbound Flight is spectacular. Tales of the Bounty Hunters is also neat. But of course, ANH and ESB are better than all except Heir to the Empire and The Last Command.
I had noticed that back on the MBs, most users were homeschooled as well.
