OOC: I know, there's a western continent where the Rays dwell.
(OOC: Yes i see, prepare to see many different augmented trans-animals Overwatch Soldiers and Elites then. They had conquered many species around the earth and are using them for their war machine. I wouldn’t co-opt your rays anyway, )
OOC: The Rays were the only species inhabiting the western continent, so they were able to multiply all over the continent and grow into a "mega-tribe", if you will (they won't be OP, since, if they are introduced in the RP, I'll never attack with the full Empire at once unless most Chima tribes unite), building powerful and technologically advanced fleets and armies.
*They walk up the stairs entering the opera hall, the 6 stand on a platform, the room is packedwith wolves, gorillas and scorpions*
Wol'jin: My fellow guests, I am proud to announce, after much intense negotiation. Chima is saved.

We helped Cuba gain independence, and we wanted to annex it and all, but our money wasn’t really helping the Cubans get around until good ol’ communism happened and then they just fell into a hermit kingdom. kinda amazed the American-made African country, Liberia, was made by former slaves. Kinda feel the same how Cuba got off from the Spanish Empire Train. )

OOC: Oh, I thought you'd said that the sharks only just recently got evolved, like the Outland tribes. The intention was always that the Rays got evolved 1,000 years ago, at the same time as the Chimian tribes. Some Rays were able to crawl onto the land and drink the chi from the continent's chi springs, then fed the chi to the rest of the Rays. Or at least, that was the original explanation, but since you're now saying the sharks got evolved at the same time, it would make more sense for the chi to have flowed into the water, like you said.
I guess the rays would leave the sharks alone as long as they didn't try to move outside their islands to conquer the rays' territory. Possible names for the western continent include Prima and Chirax.
