If characters can only be captured if they want to, that is counter-productive. Also, if they choose if they can come back, then how can I have my subordinates choked and just have them show up?
in some instances it makes sense, If you're really good at planning you can plan to take over en entire ship by being captured and escaping. However if you choose not to be captured you just get to respawn in 1 day
Are they RPCs? and if they are then space magic usually we accommodate and say they were MIA or something and then reappear somehow because we're like marvel and can't get rid of any character for more then a day
But that means that you can’t be captured unless you want to. That can ruin plans that rely on the capture of someone.
Space magic is not a reason. If I can’t choke my subordinates and have them get smashed permanently, then why would I choke them? If I can’t choke them, then that makes this less fun.

normally "plans" will only be scripted if you know what I mean. Like the don't really hold any real consequence in the actual game
Uh sure If you want them to stay smashed they totally can but I mean how it used to work was that even if your RPC got smashed they would just go to jail. since we don't have a jail they just respawn by the power of unicorns and poptarts. So I mean if you wanted to smash your subordinates for good you totally can, you cant necessarily do that to other people's RPCs. if that were the case no on e would actually use them and that'd be no fun

Unless they aren’t. Like if, say the Empire captures someone to find out where the secret Rebel base is. They can only be captured if they want to be. It stagnates everything.

not necessarily, I mean you can use OOC information to figure that out really RPCs only impact story line arcs and NPCs can be treated like canon fodder

We just use OOC information to have characters know things IC? What kind of RP does that?
And somewhat important characters were choked by Vader.
After a bit of research, I've decided that I'd like my faction to be mainly situated on the planet Thakwaa on the outer rim with my two secondary planets being the planets Skye and Manpha. Is this good?

some things like if you see an enemy fleet posting moves that they're traveling to your home planet you can have your RPC start building defenses. thing too crazy but you get the picture right?

There we go, exer single planet posted (except the rebels I think) now all that's left Is businesses which will have to wait until the individual owners pick what they want and then we decide on a start date
I'm terribly sorry for not being active on here. I can only say that the last few weeks of the semester were very stressful for me, and I'm been recovering since. However, I have had free time, and should have posted sooner.
It's a bit late today, But I will sort things out tomorrow.

Sounds good dude! I posted the 5 planets and the shipyard that you need to post in the Rebel HQ to make things easy for you. hopefully we can recruit people to lead each of the HQs. So far it looks as though we have two leaders being me and you and that leaves the Imperials, Mandos, and Pirates open factions to be controlled and then any other splinter factions if they so choose to join.

So it appears as thought Bobby is posting the planets for the rebels as I'm typing this so I"ll outline what is needed to be done next
Shipyards, We all need to make sure that the designated factions have their shipyards. the Key that follows shows who gets what shipyards
Imperials = KDY Crimson Empire = DMC Rebels = Dac Pirates = Black Market Mandos = Mando Hypernautics
as the RP expands we'll have to keep adding businesses to keep up with the amount of users. However as of right now if there's things that are sold by a shop that isn't posted then it'll be sold by the Black Market (Example: Golan space stations can be bought at the Black Market until Golan Arms is posted)
However in certain cases of faction specific ships we'll make an exception and form a merger of ships so that it keeps a balance. This is mainly for the Rebels and Imperials since they have many shipyards that field their vast armies and fleets
for now KDY will produce all of Rothana and Sienar Fleet system ships. (DMC belongs to the Cimrons Empire since they don't have a dedicated shipyard and their home planets of Esseles is in face where DMC is located
Dac will produce all Incom Corperation ships (Xwings and headhunters)
Please try and type up a price list in order to get things started. Price lists will be very helpful. If you have any Fanon Schematics from the previous RP you can post them in the Fanon Compiling post and use them. If you'd like to have more Fanon it must be approved. Don't forget guys, that eventually I'd like to have this community be large enough to have Community events and what not so remember to advertise to other users as much as possible. Thanks so much for helping me build this Rp.
I've posted several of the planets, and will add more detailed descriptions later. However, I do think I should make Roche be 1O, as it was in the old RP, and I don't think Lianna and Nal Hutta should be Rebel Planets, as Nal Hutta is the HQ of Sienar Fleet Systems, manufacturer of the TIE fighter, and Nal Hutta is the Hutt homeworld, a center of fringe/criminal activity. I think maybe I should replace them with Hoth, and maybe Aridus or Fresia, like the old RP, if that would be OK.

understandably I should have told you of some of the changes that were decided on by Ciar08 an I back when we were planning things. anyways the idea was to make every faction *At least i this starting stage* be secluded in their own sector to make it easier on newer players to reinforce them (because Fresia is going to be on the first planets attacked because it's in the core) and that's not really fair since it's got Incom, so for now I moved some planets and stuff to get them over into their respective systems. and some of those planets are already posted and Roche was actually in 2M during th old RP so I just moved it back a smidge. The idea is to keep everyone in their own sectors to focuse first on their own assets before blitzing the entire galaxy, cause Otter showed me that Blitzing takes all the fun out of the RP even if you win. Also I'd read the little blerb in the Times as it will explain the current situation with the shops ans SFS. Hope this helped answer some questions but if not I'll try again
