Agreed! And so am I! He can go anywhere with it, which is why it's so difficult to write, probably. There's no set path forward, it's just wherever he decides to go, so its impossible to predict what will happen.
Ooh, that's neat. What did you have happen?
Well, I'll tell you what I have so far.
General Leia's untimely demise would be mentioned in the opening crawl, as having recently occured. The movie would start with the Millennium Falcon arriving at a funeral for her. Some words are said about Han and Luke as well, making it a funeral for the Original Trilogy's trio. Luke's Ghost would show up at the funeral to talk to Rey, and he would confirm that Leia is one with the Force now, and a Ghost.
Kylo Ren is angry at Hux (who had Leia destroyed). He comes a bit closer the Light Side.
Then a bunch of stuff happens and it ends with Ben Solo walking off toward the sunset to find a new path.
I like it. I especially like that you remembered to open it with a spaceship. I don't know if Leia could actually become a force ghost, considering her low level of Force Knowledge and how even only a few Jedi mastered becoming a ghost, but I feel like that is something they might do as a tribute to Carrie Fisher. In that way, I'm fine with it. Seems a good tribute.
Can you elaborate on 'a bunch of stuff'?
Ooh, make him walk off into a double sunset. That would be poetic and perfect.
I never noticed any resemblance, but am fine with him, anyway. Han Solo is one of those characters which is uber-popular, but which I never had any special connection to... I mean, don't get me wrong, I like the character, but I just won't be devestated or disappointed if Alden takes it in a different direction, like I might be with another character.
True. Low expectations may play to its benefit. Low expectations are easy to exceed. And I don't want anything groundbreaking with this flick, like I might want for an episode. For Solo, I just want a fun movie.
It sounds like I might be a bigger Han fan than you.
But I 100% agree with that second paragraph.
That's probably true. I like Han, but as far as the original trio of main characters go, I was always more of a Luke guy.
Good. Otherwise we would need to fight. More seriously, I am especially looking forward to it because it looks like, at the least, it will deliver on being fun. Of course, there's always a danger of raising the "fun" expectations too high which is dangerous.... I don't want to choke on my expectations.
I want it to be built in her staff, but I'm 95% certain she's just going to reforge the same Lightsaber. It's only broken into two pieces, and she has both.
I did! It was very good. I think Chris Pratt explained the film best when he compared it to a combination of Shakespeare and James Bond. And, somewhat rarely for a Marvel film, both villains are really good. Klaue is pure fun, and Michael B. Jordan's character (anyone know if I am allowed to say his name on here?) is really deep and has meaningful motives.

I'm going back and "polishing up" this story I wrote three years ago, and oh my god how my writing had changed since then. The whole story is dumb but I truly love it. It's everything I loved when I was 13 swuished into one giant ball with a bow barely maintaining itself after being wrapped around said ball.

Sometimes it rhymes, sometimes it doesn't. I am doing free verse right now, but organized free verse. I learned a lot of mistakes poets make, and I guarantee you did them (No offence).
Luke was INCREDIBLY WONDERFULLY AWESOME AND EPIC. What he did to Kylo in the end was awesome. Rey was great, I loved the lifting rocks scene. Kylo was quite different, I think he was better in this film though. I was glad Snoke pointed out how pathetic he was, though. This movie was a bit darker, and they almost made Kylo look good, but then it turned out he wasn't.
I thought the whole thing with Finn and Rose was pointless, and I didn't like Vice Admiral Holdo. Poe was pretty cool, though.
Ah. What is organized free verse? I honestly have no idea. Oh, definitely. I am not a poet, and I know it. (Heh)
Yessssssss. Luke's storyline was great. The only thing I would've preferred is if he had the green at the end instead of the blue. I like what they did with Rey, too. This movie was pretty much about Rey getting disappointed. She was disappointed in Luke, disappointed in Kylo, and then disappointedly in who her parents ended up being. I loved what they did with Kylo. He is now Supreme Leader which I never would have guessed going in. And he sort of overcame his patheticness, which was a great arc.
Do you mean the storyline or the relationship with Finn and Rose? I liked the storyline, but, yeah, I agree that the relationship was a bit forced. (Heh. Pun not intended.) I didn't hate Holdo. I didn't LOVE her either, but I think she's a solid edition to Star Wars. I wish we got more Ackbar though. Yes, he was.
My own invention, someday I will be famous for it. Oldest joke ever!
I think Luke pulled out the blue lightsaber to torment Kylo, you know he wants it. I hope they don't turn Rey into some "You can be anything" thing, that's all. And yes, Kylo was better, although, he was a little........mopey.
Both. I thought the storyline was too complicated and hard to follow, it was all over the place. And I thought it was WAY to forced between Finn and Rose. Star Wars usually doesn't have forced romances, Anakin and Padme was pretty good, Han and Leia was excellent, but Finn and Rose are awkward. I think Finn and Rey would go way smoother. I will be honest, I never liked Ackbar, and I don't like Holdo. I just don't like admirals. He had more of a role in this one.

You should be able to say Jordan's name, but I ain't a mod. :3
