Ooh, neat. Rhyiming or non-rhyming? I love poetry, but I'm terrible at it. I think the last time I tried was that Shakespearean Sonnet to French Fries I did Freshman year for school. It wasn't good.
Oooooooooh I need to hear your thoughts on it.
Sometimes it rhymes, sometimes it doesn't. I am doing free verse right now, but organized free verse. I learned a lot of mistakes poets make, and I guarantee you did them (No offence).
Luke was INCREDIBLY WONDERFULLY AWESOME AND EPIC. What he did to Kylo in the end was awesome. Rey was great, I loved the lifting rocks scene. Kylo was quite different, I think he was better in this film though. I was glad Snoke pointed out how pathetic he was, though. This movie was a bit darker, and they almost made Kylo look good, but then it turned out he wasn't.
I thought the whole thing with Finn and Rose was pointless, and I didn't like Vice Admiral Holdo. Poe was pretty cool, though.
Glad you liked, I'm also happy you have some criticism and aren't ablindly following the "I LOVE STAR WARS - THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH STAR WARS" trend, incase anyone wonders these are my main thoughts:
{Spoilers! (dUH)} Personally it felt like a mess, an utter mess that made little sense, let's get off with the little things: 1) The relationship between Finn and Rose is dull, it was spicy at first but it felt dull after a while. 2) Little to no lore, no explanation for anything, sure people harp on the prequels but they were great for lore building there were future possibilities for it, this movie murdered lore, I mean sure it could be intresting to see who ben solo took with him and what came of them, but that's about it, and snore just dies, like who even is he, how is he in power? 3) The First Order should be the under dog, not the powerful intergalactic power house it is, the resistance should be the new republic beating down this little authoritarian nuscence, which I'm theory shouldn't exist because there is no explanation to its existence or rise to power, what did the galaxy give up on itself and they were the last to care? Total mess. 4) Rey is a Mary sue, a Mary sue is a character that is great at everything and anything, these characters are a symbol of bad writing and rey is the most prominent example, she is just randomly good at everything, because the force said yeah you should be, she matched Kylo Ren's force power, with basically no training and in the last episode defeated kylo with no lightsaber training, Vader was scary Vader was one to destroy, and it humanised Luke, here well there is no emotion from Rey, or either of them. 5) 4 good roles, and that's Carrie Fisher as Leia, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren , Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and Peter Mayhew / Joonas Suotam as Chewbacca. All great roles filled by great characters, except Carrie Fisher is dead in real life, luke died in the end, and that leaves us with chewy who is there for comedic effect and to be the loveable action here, aswell as adam driver who is the only really lore character. So in short that's what I think.
Benicio del Toro's character in The Last Jedi. It's not his actual name, it's a nick name which the filmmakers used on set which stands for his mantra "don't join."
Who is Benicio del Toro? I don't think I recognise that name...
Yes! Everything in the Throne Room and on crait was awesome! I was happy with Luke's character and the Snoke decision as well. I also loved the Hyperspace Kamikaze. I'm really interested to see what JJ does with Episode IX. I tried writing an Episode IX story, but man, it was difficult.
Agreed! And so am I! He can go anywhere with it, which is why it's so difficult to write, probably. There's no set path forward, it's just wherever he decides to go, so its impossible to predict what will happen.
Ooh, that's neat. What did you have happen?
Well, I'll tell you what I have so far.
General Leia's untimely demise would be mentioned in the opening crawl, as having recently occured. The movie would start with the Millennium Falcon arriving at a funeral for her. Some words are said about Han and Luke as well, making it a funeral for the Original Trilogy's trio. Luke's Ghost would show up at the funeral to talk to Rey, and he would confirm that Leia is one with the Force now, and a Ghost.
Kylo Ren is angry at Hux (who had Leia destroyed). He comes a bit closer the Light Side.
Then a bunch of stuff happens and it ends with Ben Solo walking off toward the sunset to find a new path.
Ignore everything I say, to the best of your ability.
I must say I've warmed up to it wuite a bit since I posted that. Alden looks a fair but like Harrison from several angles, and, while Harrison is obviously irreplaceable, I trust Lucasfilm's casting decisions at this point. Perhaps he won't be great, but I bet he was the best option Lucasfilm had.
We'll really just have to wait and see, though. I'm not sure what to expect at this point.
I never noticed any resemblance, but am fine with him, anyway. Han Solo is one of those characters which is uber-popular, but which I never had any special connection to... I mean, don't get me wrong, I like the character, but I just won't be devestated or disappointed if Alden takes it in a different direction, like I might be with another character.
True. Low expectations may play to its benefit. Low expectations are easy to exceed. And I don't want anything groundbreaking with this flick, like I might want fir an episode. For Solo, I just want a fun movie.
It sounds like I might be a bigger Han fan than you.
But I 100% agree with that second paragraph.
Ignore everything I say, to the best of your ability.

Thanks for feeding my SW knowledge, Ant. :3
You are welcome, Sir Flash the Two-Hundred-and-Thirteenth.
