Come to think of it, does anyone have any ideas of how a not-really perfect writer such as myself can get better? Go on. Contribute your ideas. I'll take anything. Even the really bad advice I won't judge.
I'm gonna be honest, the main reason I checked back is I wanted y'all's thoughts in the Solo teaser.
It's very whelming. Not overwhelming and not underwhelming.
Alden Ehrenreich can't win here. Harrison Ford is too unique of a personality. Lando is easier to become. Donald Glover has the easier job.
I think the cinematography looks excellent, but beyond that, I don't know what to expect from this film. It worries me how little they showed of Han in the trailers though, and the rumors that he needed an acting coach don't help.
But I think it will be a fun film, even if Alden is terrible.
I quite liked what I saw. It looks like a fun crime film, which is exactly what I want from it. It looks better than R1 to me, and I'm more excited for it than I was for that film. Of course, Rogue One didn't do a whole lot for me, except for Krennic and Saw, which is kind of an unpopular opinion, so take that how you will.
Yeah, I totally agree with what you're saying here. The first time I saw it, I didn't get why anyone had any issues with it. He seemed fine. The second, I could kind of picture Harrison Ford saying the same lines and doing the same stuff, and it was just so vastly different. I'm going to try to go in to the theater thinking of it as a different character instead of a younger version of the same, and I think if I do, I'll enjoy the film a lot more.
Agreed, it was visually gorgeous.
Mhm. In Kasdan we trust. It's supposed to be one of his best scripts, so if nothing else, it should be fun nad cleverly written.

Elon Musk's Tesla Roadster. Not much personally. I lead a dull life.
You?
I'm just doin' school and stuff. I've taken up writing, particularly poetry.
And thinking about TLJ.
Ooh, neat. Rhyiming or non-rhyming? I love poetry, but I'm terrible at it. I think the last time I tried was that Shakespearean Sonnet to French Fries I did Freshman year for school. It wasn't good.
Cool! I agree with you all the way on The Last Jedi! What were your favorite parts of the film?
The Throne Room scene and Crait where the two best sequences. I also really loved what they did with Luke, and I thought DJ was a fun character. The Snoke decision was absolutely genius, because after that I felt like the story could literally go anywhere. Most movies you have a certain sense of control in, because you know that, due to conventions, most writers won't be willing to do certain things. Rian Johnson doesn't care at all about those conventions, and I love it.

Yes! Everything in the Throne Room and on crait was awesome! I was happy with Luke's character and the Snoke decision as well. I also loved the Hyperspace Kamikaze. I'm really interested to see what JJ does with Episode IX. I tried writing an Episode IX story, but man, it was difficult.
Ignore everything I say, to the best of your ability.
