The only "good" thing about Makuta is that they're OP. They're hardly developed at all apart from maybe Krika, but that's very little development compared to other villians in the saga. Heck, even the Barraki were better developed than the Makuta. At least they had characters like Takadox to keep things interesting. Also, the other reason I don't like Makuta in this roleplay is that everyone defends them no matter what. Light wasn't added to the roleplay at first because it could cheaply destroy Makuta, even though that was literally the only special thing about it. Nobody ever argued about the Makuta having 41 more powers than everyone else, but somebody having a counter to them was deemed OP. I understand your frustration about Makuta being hard to fight. I suggest you start looking into obscure Kanohi and powers. Then add those to your RPCs. For example, use the Kanoka used to make a Hau and then fuse those Kanoka into your armor. Bingo, you know have Hau shielded armor. Also giving your RPC agility and speed is probably the best thing you can do since Makuta lack speed and tend to be rather bulky. The whole Avkuta not being allowed and Light thing is just pure bogus IMO. We should have a counter to Makuta. Especially since Avkuta would only bring a max of eight maybe nine fanon powers all of which counter the evil variants. If we are bringing up Av Makuta again then I am still in favor.

A hero is only as good as the villains he is able to fight against and live. The only "good" thing about Makuta is that they're OP. This is my roleplay, and Toa of light were and still are allowed to begin with. However, put this into perspective: roleplay isn't about winning. It is about creating a story. It is history in the making. Powerful characters should be able to crush weaker ones. It opens up RPCs having to rely on skill, technique, and intelligence, in order to defeat their opponents.

Takata's Bio Okay, Emarcee, you want my RPC's backstory? Here it is, buddy. Just remember, you asked for it. Takata was a Toa Kinika. Oh, that's right, you don't know what that is. A Toa Kinika is a minor Toa, second only to the Toa Nexus. Oh, wait... The Toa Nexus are the offspring of the seven Toa Nuva who live on the island of Remna-Nui... okay, hold on... Remna-Nui is an island that was formed... gah... Okay, we'll start in an alternate dimension. Yeah. Okay, here we go. An alternate dimension. Commonly classified as the Omega Reality of the Bionicle storyline. Here, the story extends past the point where the original saga left off. When Mata Nui awoke from his slumber, the islands, Mata Nui, Southern Continent, even the island shaped like an 8, were part of a massive cataclysm. I'm not sure about the canon world, but in this world, all the islands (minus Metru Nui) were resting on top of the giant robot Mata Nui. When he awoke from his slumber, the islands all crashed, collided, crumbled, and collapsed into the ocean below. Later, when everyone had gone to Bara Magna (I'm honestly not sure what happens after the Legend Reborn, so bear with me), the ocean starts to churn. Volcanic eruptions and elemental forces of nature begin forging a new island, a massive super continent. Several hundred years later, the island rises up to the surface, a combo of all the islands in one huge land mass. In addition, new elements had created new regions, with elements such as Jungle and Lightning. (Among others, which would probably send you into a state of shock. ) Anyway, the people returned to their island. The next chunk of the story is a bit complicated, so I'll put it like this: Only Turaga and Matoran. No Toa anymore. Build cities. Populate island. Evil army. Great war. Matoran win war. Evil army disappears. Peace and prosperity. Rebuilding. Armies are fortified. Evil returns, stronger than before. Another great war. Okay, that's good. So, the Matoran are fighting this new war. So the Turaga decide they need to find the fabled Toa offspring, the sons and daughters of the Toa Nuva (Tahu, Gali, Kopaka, Pohatu, Onua, Lewa, Takanuva). They send three strangers to find the Toa. The strangers turn out to be Toa themselves, and they find the other Toa underground. They are frozen in protodermis capsules. When they are freed, they kick bad guy brick and save the island. The new Toa, the Toa Nexus, protect their island. A while later, capsules started falling to the island. They contained the Toa Kinika. No one knows where they came from, although some say the Toa Nuva evolved into Great Beings and were sending the island new Toa. The Toa Nexus assigned certain Matoran to the task of finding the capsules and repairing the Toa inside. Once the Toa Kinika were completed, they were tested to see what their element was. Then they would be sent to their respective home city or village. This would result in a few Toa residing in every settlement. Now we get to the important part. One day, a wise old Matoran found a damaged capsule. Inside, Takata was lying in pieces. The Matoran took Takata to his workshop and rebuilt him, but discovered he was missing his right arm. The Matoran built Takata a new one, made out of gold-colored protodermis. (I figured you'd call me out on there not being gold in the Matoran Universe. ) Takata's tissue apparently grew into the arm, allowing it to work like a real one. The Matoran became a sort of father-figure to Takata. They journeyed to the city of Ta-Ketru, where Takata would be tested. Sure enough, he was a Toa of Fire. The Matoran left for his home village, while Takata stayed and trained under the watchful eye of Takama, Toa Nexus of Fire. She taught him everything he needed to know about being a Toa, as well as the limits of his firey power. Later on, Takata left to explore the island and check out a strange anomaly. During his journey, Takata met the Matoran again, and told him of his journey. The Matoran told him he had a special gift for him: a vehicle that could traverse land, air and sea. Takata accepted the vehicle. That was the last he'd ever see of his dear friend. He found a cavern leading into Karda Nui, which was hidden deep underground. There he met someone. And he learned some things. (Heh heh heh.) Takata returned, and joined a Toa Kinika team. One of his teammates was a Toa Kinika of Lightning named Java. His friends called him Java Nuva, because of the strange symbol that was found on his capsule. The team had many adventures. They stopped many evils, saved many lives. One day, Java disappeared. Takata went looking for him, only to discover a rift in space and time. He went into it to find his friend and bring him home. As he fell through reality, a Toa capsule formed around him. He eventually came to crashland on he island of Okoto, in an alternate timeline where almost everything was different. (In case you don't know, he's in the old Bionicle Roleplay from the LMBs.) He tracked down Java, but found he had inexplicably turned evil and went on a rampage. Takata searched some more, and found Java's mask lying on a grass bed in the jungles of Le-Koro. On the back of the mask, he found something. Something dark. Something evil. Something...possesive. Suddenly and unexpectedly, the dimension started to collapse. Takata knew he had to escape before he was wiped out. A strange and mysterious breed of borohk had swept over the land, vaporizing reality itself. They were sent by an all-powerful being known as the Entitywhodecidedthatthelegomessageboardsshouldbeclosed, who hated all that was good and just. Anyway, Takata caught an injured borohk, smashed it, took it's shield, and put it on his old Toa capsule. He stored his bike, Java's mask, Takata's katana, and himself inside the capsule. The shield's power, along with all of Takata's will power and memory, ripped open a hole in space that sucked in Takata. That's how he ended up getting spewed out of two dimensions and ending up in this one. Basically, as of right now, he's got a modified Kanohi Hau with a black breathing apparatus, a right arm made of golden protodermis technology, cherry-red armor with black decal, the MultiTerra motobike, Java Nuva's Silver Mask, a damaged Borohk shield that used to be able to bend reality, and two fiery katana. I hope I didn't forget anything.

I hope I didn't forget anything. The Toa Nexus cannot exist, because Toa do not procreate. Furthermore, the Great Beings do not possess any powers of their own, but rather, are beings who are knowledgeable about the science behind the creation and manipulation of protodermis in such a way as to create powers, beings, and other associated technology, making it impossible to 'evolve' into one (rather, you have to 'learn' how to be one, but then again, I doubt anyone could comprehend what they know). This is exceptional fan-fiction Drake, but it's not really a good fit for this RP. However, the bolded above is a perfect explanation of how Toa are actually built (muscle tissue DOES grow into the mechanical parts to function like real body parts, that is how all Matoran, Toa, and Turaga are built anyway -- biomechanically) so you don't need to convince me on that. If you can make the Takata that appears in this RP be another version of him (rather than having him be all of a same continuity) I would wholeheartedly accept him here. You would merely have to say he never fell from the sky, but rather, was here all along.

I had a feeling you were going to say that. Yes, I know they cannot have kids. They are simply gifts to the Toa from Mata Nui. Anyway, this is exactly what I was talking about earlier. WAY TOO COMPLICATED. Another dimension was the easiest way to get around this mountain. You wanted the tunnel through, and now I have to go around the other way. Listen, I know you're trying to do your job, and next to Farshtey himself you know more about Bionicle than anyone I know, but you need to lighten up a bit. I love Bionicle as much as you do. I freakin' downloaded the entire comics series to read in my spare time. I would really like to be a part of this roleplay. A little inexplicable fanon won't hurt anyone. A Toa with a fake arm who fell from a portal isn't anything to hold a trial over. That's about it. If this doesn't work, then I'll start begging.

They still have powers to stop you moving. The counter to Makuta is light. That dosn't make Avkuta ok. Avkuta have all the counters to immoral Makuta powers. So do Toa of Light, and they're not OP.

Av-Makuta, and I'm saying this for the umpteenth time, cannot be allowed because any list of powers you create for them would be mostly if not completely fanon, except for 7 or 8 powers. You are forming an opinion of Avkuta that I have only seen you subscribe to. Everyone else I know holds to the fact that Avkuta have around seven fanon powers. All of which replace the six rahkshi sets and Confusion.

Toa of light have the opposites of Fragmentation, Disintegration, Fear, Hunger, Poison, Anger, and Confusion?Makuta of Light remain around the same of level of over powered that Makuta of Shadow are at. Although since most of their counters end up just calming people down (In theory) , you could say that they are less OP.

You are forming an opinion of Avkuta that I have only seen you subscribe to. Everyone else I know holds to the fact that Avkuta have around seven fanon powers. All of which replace the six rahkshi sets and Confusion. Only 3 of their powers are officially confirmed, and only 8 are reasonably confirmable -- the rest are a blur. I mean, seriously, WHERE DOES TELEKINESIS FIT INTO THE EQUATION?! If we had Av-Makuta, we would either have to write up a completely fanon list of powers for them. That, or we would need to stick to the 8 that are confirmed, and say that they are always holding back. None of those two options make enough sense though, and therefore, we cannot allow Av-Makuta simply for the reason we don't know enough about them to roleplay effectively.

Tell you what: YOU write a back story, and I'LL make the minor changes to it. A little switcheroo, maybe it'll work better.
