Heres a list I made of potential villans and obstacles for the Obi Wan film:
Himself & his past.
Over protective Owen Lars.
Black Krristan
Jabba the Hutt & his thugs
Tusken Raiders
Local settlers (to avoid an keep past identity secret)
Imperial soldiers staioned in settlements like Mos Eisley
Darth Maul(though unlikley as weve seen the confrontation between the 2 already in Rebels)
Please post your thoughts on this and if you have any idea of other types of villans we could see.
A few of those could work. If I was not already caught up in Batman '66 (which you should definitely read if you like Batman. #shamelessselfadvertising ) I would write it on here.
I would not be against it being a movie for older audiences, if advertised as such. The only kids going to see my vision of this would be those of ignorant parents.
Me too he is ideal now that hes a bit older to play Ben Kenobi in exile on Tatooine. To pick someone else as him unless as his younger self in flashbacks would be silly. Even then they could just do CGI like they did with the young Tony Stark in Civil War an Jack Sparrow in PoTC 5.
I personally would like it to be a sort of Star Wars/Logan hybrid, with him in Tatooine, as a hermit in isolation, but, say some gangsters are terrorising a town or something and he comes out of hiding to help them.
I wouldn't like them to do the CGI thing, in Civil War and DMTNT it was (somewhat) convincing, but in Rogue One it was painfully obvious.
I like your idea about him coming out to help a town being terrorised by gangsters perhaps it could be Tosche station where Luke & his friends hang out. Also it could have a similar Logan western type vibe which Im all for but as its bound to be a PG13 it needs to be far less gory/violent.
I can see it now in a way Obi Wan is like Logan, young Luke=X-23 and the old Xavier mentor character could be represented as Qui Gons force ghost.
You should check out the EU Kenobi book & some of the new cannon Obi Wan on Tatooine Marvel comic book stories their really good with superb artwork. Wookieepedia is a good source for the info without having to get hold of the books if u dont want to.

I agree. Logan, but slightly more family friendly.

I thought Tarkins CGI in RO was mezmerizing with such brilliant detail but Leias was robotic looking an very creepy especially when she delivered the last line. It wouldve been better if they didnt show her face.
