He doesn't move and Jai finds it a bit difficult to see what expression Eaudax was giving, the tinted eye pieces and his beak not moving. Coming off as fearless to someone watching the situation, but in truth his was shocked and surprised by this turn of events. Never in all his years did he expect to hear such a story or get such a reaction, but if he were to survive this, his next actions must be very careful.
"I do not know who this 'him' is, but I was sent by no-one and I am not 'him.' I am not here to mock you, I do not know you. What I wanted to know if you were someone like me, some who knows how vile Chi is and that it must be destroyed. Your tale is a strange one, but it gives me hope that it can be done, that Chi can be destroyed once and for all."
Jai tightens his finger around the trigger for a moment, before taking a long, deep breath and lowering it slightly.
"Sorry. I don't trust you. I can't. I thought I was the only one who felt this way about Chi around here, and now, all of a sudden, you come out of nowhere and so easily guess my thoughts. With such wisdom, I'm sure you can forgive my skepticism. Now, how about we chat someplace less public?"
OOC: I don't think you have the right to claim dominion over the entirety of the spider race and take them away from the creativity of other users, all just because you're the faction leader. If I wanted to have a Spider character who doesn't follow Spelyne, you couldn't stop me.
OOC: I do have the right, do not tell me what I can or cannot do. Ultimately, you don't decide this.
I'm not taking any creativity out of anything. If you truly have an issue with this, go ahead, challenge me. But you'll also be challenging the Bats in turn. Every spider who is aware of who Spelyne is either respects her, fears her or adores her. They wouldn't rebel. Any spiders who defected before Spelyne took over would be exempt from this clause, as I have repeatedly stated. You are fully capable of attaining a spider who doesn't follow Spelyne. In fact, I've never said you can't. I've simply stated no spider in the tribe would. They'd have to had defected during Spilyth's regime. Simple as that.
{JAMMERS! -Eagles- ONLY!} Coincidentally, a message from Grand Admiral Balthazar goes to the eagles through a secure frequency. Balthazar: "Greetings, eagles. I have a request. If you locate the Bat known as Barney Balhoun, would you be so kind as to arrest him for treason, or to point the Crawlers in the right direction so we can arrest him? It would be greatly appreciated."

"And where would you suggest we go?"
"Do those wings still work? I know a place in the side of the Spire itself. Follow."
Jai spreads his wings and dives off the edge. Should the stranger follow, he would see Jai fly into a small cave hidden in rock of the Spire's tall foundation.

Eaudax stretches his wings some to catch some air and grasps his spear with both hands before diving after Jai. The spear's power activates and pulls him forward, though Eaudax makes sure it doesn't go too fast to ram into the younger eagle, only to follow. If Jai looks back or watches Eaudax as he enters the cave, he would look much like a blue incorporeal spirit thanks to the blue energy trailing off of the spear.

OOC: Exactly.
OOC: Why would you support such poor conduct? You've convoluted the system so much already within the first year of this place existing, newer users are going to have a hard time joining in. I'd get it if this RP was a few years old, like the old Chima RP, but this is just plain inconsiderate. I should be allowed to align my characters however I want without someone else imposing anything on my characters' backstory. That goes for everyone.

When Eaudax enters the cavern, he sees Jai sitting on a rock, watching him come in with raised eyebrows. He quickly reclaims a serious expression.
"First things first: names. I'm Jai, but I feel like you already know that. So who are you, and why the hate for Chi?"

"I am Eaudax, a son of the first Eagles who foolishly consumed the Chi. I hate the parasite for what I learned about it in my youth and old age, for what it took from us and continues to take. For the first, it was our power, spiritual connection, and countless other unique abilities. The advancement it caused in our intelligence was either intentional, or an unintended outcome that it used to its advantage. Enslaving us to its will, to constantly desire it as it continues to take our life and material to continue its own conquest. It's a thief, a murder, a liar, a slaver, and made itself the uncontested ruler of our world. And for that, it should be brought down."

OOC: I think you misunderstand. The Spider and Bat leaders just have tribe members who are actually loyal. And since the leaders of those respective tribes control the generic NPCs, we do have control over the percent of the species' population that is loyal or not.
I'm not saying people can't have some RPCs who rebel against their leaders. I just don't want people to get carried away and create entire armies of NPCs who are somehow not loyal. That would basically be a second bat/spider/any species tribe, which would actually make the RP more convoluted, as you say. So as it is now, we're actually trying to keep the RP simple and less complicated. You are more than welcome to make a rogue RPC for any tribe.

"And whoever controls the Chi controls the world... that's right. The substance is evil, and it perpetuates evil, I completely agree. If what you say about yourself is true, Eaudax, then we have much to discuss after all. I believe your story, but do you truly believe mine?"

OOC: A percentage, and only the NPCs, not other users' RPCs.
Then the solution is to not allow those splinter NPC armies period. YJF appears to disagree with you in that regard, as he's saying that it's impossible for any Spiders who haven't defected before whatsherface's reign to even dislike her. That's restricting the personalities of future RPCs. That's no good.
