The cyborg general narrowly dodges a blast fired from the Bat Javelin, as the Bats already engage the Eagles in the skies. Most of the Eagles' jets are focused on fighting the Bats high up to protect the Spire, though many of the Eagles without jets swarm the Lions and Bears below, along with the Eagle Tanks [Equila's Eagle Striker]. Enoch is surprised when he notices Eagle jets with different markings painted on their wings. He flies beside the lone ET commander who he suspects is leading the foreign eagles.
Enoch: "I don't know who you are if you're not affiliated with the main tribe, and you'll have to explain yourselves after this, but I thank you for the assistance nevertheless."
Bliston communicates with the rest of the Bats through the Bat Javelin's radio: "The Eagles are receiving reinforcements from over the sea, probably from an island colony we weren't aware of. Devote your focus to keeping their jets occupied. The Bat Javelin and Lycor's Lio Nemesis are our best weapons."
As Wing Strikers weave all throughout the Eagle Tribe and Eagle Triumvirate jets, keeping most of them from pursuing the Bat Javelin, Bliston's command ship soars around to the Spire in a starboard arc, shooting down the few pursuing Eagle jets with its back-facing laser cannons. With fire chi enhanced speed, the Bat Javelin begins firing its missiles into every hangar on the Spire one by one; flames envelop the hangars and the jets within.
Bliston: "We'll prevent them from receiving any more reinforcements in the form of jets, and also prevent their present jets from docking for repairs. I'm not sure about the Eagles from the sea, but the Eagle tribe proper will now run out of jets eventually."
The Eagles, scattered after all their hangars are destroyed, are further taken off-guard by the arrival of the Crocodiles.
Enoch: "Two of our former allies, the Bats and Crocodiles, now turned against us... Galvanor's actions really did have the opposite effect than what he intended..."
Enoch weaves and dodges between his airborne adversaries, alone as the Eagles all dogfight throughout the sky.
Enoch: "...He had the right idea in eliminating the Ray threat, but he's too young and inexperienced at leading, too wild and sporadic..."
The old general grabs a Wing Striker's wing with a chi-powered cybernetic arm, throwing the craft into another of its kind before launching the small missile on his other arm at a third Wing Striker flying toward him, using the blast to propel himself above the Bat Javelin.
Enoch: "...Someone like him needs to be directed, controlled. Yes, I'll have to start... guiding the boy, that'll get us on track-- GRRAAHHH!!"
The eagle is interrupted as his wings are struck by one of the many laser blasts lancing through the sky. He falls, his wings singed, but manages to grab onto the Bat Javelin during his plummet.
Enoch: "Urg, darn it... well, I can at least... take out the Bat King."
Enoch, having blades protrude from his robotic arms, pierces the command ship's hull with the blades to stay on, as he climbs toward the cockpits from the back. He stabs one of the blades into the cockpit on the right.
Bliston: "What th--?!"
Enoch lifts with his metallic strength, tearing the cockpit canopy off with the arm that'd pierced it, and throwing it into the sky. The Bat King flies forward out of the cockpit, narrowly dodging as the eagle stabs the pilot seat. The bat in the command ship's other cockpit looks to his right, seeing this happening.
Bat: "Your Highness!"
Bliston: "Don't worry about me; the Bat Javelin can still be flown by only one pilot."
Bliston dives toward Enoch with his axe, and the eagle general parries, as the two of them engage in battle on top of the Bat Javelin.
During his duel with the Bat King, Enoch calls Galvanor through a secure line that only the two of them can hear. Enoch, whispering, can be heard clearly by the Eagle King through the radio, but not by Bliston, as the sounds of the battle all around fill the bat's ears.
Enoch: "Galvanor, order a ceasefire. Even with these strange foreign Eagles, we're still outnumbered. Primordium is nothing more than a word at this point; there's only the Eagles, and our homeland is being decimated--"
Galvanor: "Enoch, you senile idiot! If I order a ceasefire, the Chima Alliance will move in to capture me! You would have your King be thrown in a dungeon without a fight??"
Enoch: "Listen, boy. Your life--especially since they've made it clear that they only want to capture you--is not equivalent to the many Eagle civilians in danger right now, and I'm beginning to think you're not worth all these lives being lost--"
Galvanor: "How dare you?! You were the one who helped me take my rightful place as Eagle King, and now you, of all people, would give me up just to protect a few more lives that have no bearing on the bigger picture?! What an inconsistent imbecile you are, and I thought you were on the same page with me when you found me in the Eagle Library, and helped me with my goals!"
Enoch: "That was when I thought you had the best interests of our people in mind! Do you feel anything for the lives of all these eagles?? For your tribe?!"
Galvanor: "Why should I?! The Eagles threw me aside like trash centuries ago! And besides... this isn't my tribe. Mypeople were wiped out by the Rays, which is why I'm using the Eagles to attain... justice."
Enoch: "Lycan and Lycor were right about you, then! I've made a mistake--!"
Galvanor: "No Enoch, you've done your best for my cause. Now give your life for it! We both know that's long overdue, you bag of bones!!"
The distracted Enoch's right cybernetic arm is then cut off at the elbow by Bliston, revealing broken tubes that are violently shaking and pouring out liquid chi.
Bliston: "I knew it... that technology is extremely unstable, for so many features to be packed into such a small machine! That must be why Rawlin's prosthetic arm was more minimalist. Take enough damage, and that'll blow!"
Bliston quickly kicks the staggering Enoch off the Bat Javelin, and the old eagle spirals toward the ground, his wings having already been incapacitated by the earlier laser blast. Enoch opens a radio channel with Leonard as he falls.
Enoch: "Leonard, please stop Galva--!"
The Supreme Commander is cut off as crashes into the back of an Eagle Striker tank on the ground, and his broken arm explodes. After a large explosion upon impact, smaller explosions run up the unlucky tank from the back forward, in rapid succession. The flaming tank swerves and crashes on its side, finally exploding completely.
OOC: He means the Chima Alliance. Also yeah, ladymargaret regarding the Rhinos, please see Baton's post on page 168 of Lion City. I think you might've missed it. The Bats are fighting the colony Eagles on the other quote chain, so at the moment I'll just be addressing your Tigers here.
IC: Lycor scowls as a swarm of Tigers bursts up from beneath his mech's feet. The Lion Nemesis does a backflip, and a furious blast of fire erupts from the iron beast's mouth immediately upon landing, enveloping the Tigers unlucky enough to come up beneath the mech.
Lycor: "Tigers?! They must've used the Scorpions' old tunnels as a shortcut! No time to ask questions, just keep moving forward, to the Spire!"
The Lio Nemesis pounces with both its arms out, cutting down Tigers and low-flying Eagles with its knife claws. Any enemy infantry who approach the monstrous mech are halted by a blast of fire breath that covers all directions as the mech's head rotates 180 degrees. The Bear mechs follow Lycor's charge, grabbing and overturning Eagle Tanks, as the Lion tanks, accompanied by Lion and Bear infantry, fire on the Eagles and Tigers, rolling over any of the latter who don't jump aside in time.
Leonard: "Hmm... these Tigers seem to be on our side, oddly enough. Looks like the infantry is at a disadvantage against that monster of a mech. All Eagle troops! Pull back from Lycor's mech and focus on halting the Lions' and Bears' infantry! All tanks, pull back from the Bears' mechs and focus your fire on Lycor's mech!"
Leonard's Gorilla mech charges forward, grabbing the Lio Nemesis by the hands and stopping it from getting to Eagle Spire.
Lycor roars, and the Lio Nemesis breaks out of the Gorilla mech's grasp and lets out a fire breath on the opponent, but the fire doesn't penetrate the mech's armor yet, merely blowing off into the air.
Leonard: "Can't let you get to the Spire, Lycor."
Lycor: "I'm only going because Galvanor is still in there! Your so-called 'king' hides in his high tower while his people take the blows! Get out of the way... LEONARD!!!"
The two mechs punch each other in the "faces" simultaneously, sending a shockwave through the air from the impact.
Leonard: "The Crocs--?!"
Leonard turns his attention back to his opponent in time to dodge a kick from the Lio Nemesis. The Gorilla Mech grabs the other mech's leg from below, swinging with all its might and throwing the Lion Nemesis twenty feet away. Lycor quickly ends the tumbling roll as he pierces the mech's knife fingers into the ground.
Lycor speaks through his mech's radio: "It's the Battle of Lion City all over again, Leonard. Have you still not realized that everyone is against Galvanor now? Are you really so blindly obedient?!"
The Lio Nemesis jumps forward, converting into tank mode to boost its speed. Leonard easily jumps above the oncoming tank, only for it to convert back to mech mode, turning and blasting fire up at the Gorilla Mech even while doing so. The blast throws Leonard several feet back, crashing to the ground and shattering some of his mech's armor.
Leonard: "Ugh, I can't-- I won't accept that! Galvanor is my rightful king, regardless!"
The Lio Nemesis lunges viciously, yet gracefully, at the Gorilla Mech, slicing off the shoulder-mounted chi cannon of the black mech as it tries to dodge. The Gorilla Mech ducks down and swings its massive fist, slamming into the other mech's chin in an uppercut; the Lio Nemesis stumbles, but Lycor rights it, taking a stance with its claws drawn in front.
Lycor: "Your rightful king?! Galvanor, the only reason you were raised by the Eagles, is because you were a prisoner of war!"
The Lio Nemsis dodges a now sloppier fist swing from the Gorilla Mech, and lets loose rapid series of its own swings, creating shallow claw marks all over the front of the mech, and further damaging its armoring.
Leonard: "W--what?? That makes no sense! I was a cub! I was born here, and the Eagles raised me as their own!"
As Leonard is caught off-guard, the Lio Nemesis pierces its right hand fingers into the Gorilla Mech, the long knives barely missing the pilot inside. The Lio Nemesis lifts the other mech high into the air with its penetrated fingers, holding it up as if studying it.
Lycor: "When I was made Lion King, I was granted access to highly-classified information, such as a deal made between King Erdrik and King Lionel's father 24 years ago. Erdrik had wiped out a hostile group of rogue lions in these lands, aside from a cub the Eagles took from the camp. The Lion King blackmailed Erdrik, threatening war despite those lions not being affiliated with the main tribe. Erdrik made a deal with him: the Eagles would raise the cub and teach him to pilot aircraft, then send him back to the Lions as an adult, so our tribe could finally build a good air force. This deal remained in effect after both those kings passed on. To the Eagles, you were a bargaining tool, Leonard."
Leonard: "N--no... They took me in because..."
Lycor: "Because they'd struck down your parents in these very lands! A mixture of guilt and obligation on the Eagles' part; such is the way of this world!"
The Lio Nemesis slams the heavy mech into the ground.
Leonard regains his focus in time to have his mech lunge forward and tackle the Lio Nemesis' legs, knocking it to the ground. The Lio Nemesis reaches up and pierces its right hand fingers into the back of the Gorilla Mech, standing, turning, and slamming Leonard's mech into the ruined wall of a destroyed outpost nearby. Cracks form in the wall, and the Gorilla Mech manages to turn the tables, grabbing the Lio Nemesis' central 'spine' long enough to tilt and throw the monstrous mech, smashing it through the wall. The Lio Nemesis tumbles on its side, and Lycor brings the mech's arms up to protect the cockpit from damage. A radio communication then comes in for Leonard.
Enoch: "Leonard, please stop Galva--!"
The eagle's voice is cut off, replaced by static.
Leonard: "Enoch?! What are you talking about?? Enoch, come in! ENOCH!!"
The Lio Nemesis roars and lunges at the Gorilla Mech, grabbing the mech's right arm as the briefly distracted Leonard quickly tries to shield his cockpit with the arm. The Lio Nemesis swiftly rips the huge robotic arm from its owner, and as the Gorilla Mech stumbles forward from the force of the pull, the enemy mech swings forward, hitting the Gorilla Mech with its own arm and sending it through what remains of the wall. The Gorilla Mech tumbles some twenty feet away, before finally coming to rest, smashing against a boulder in the ground. As a dazed Leonard tries to right the mech, getting so far as sitting up against the rock, the Lio Nemesis throws the Gorilla Mech's arm through the air, and it smashes into the front of the downed mech. Both the thrown arm and the cockpit are shattered, Leonard now exposed as he looks out and sees the Lio Nemesis swiftly walking toward him.
Leonard: "So I was a... political prisoner, eh? This... doesn't change things. The Eagles are still... my family."
Lycor: "Still so blindly obedient to your captors... a tragedy. No one deserves to be brainwashed to such an extent. No lion, nay, no soldier... will be a slave on my watch. Now... be free."
Fire rises through the mechanical throat of the Lio Nemesis, and it unleashes its volley. The stream of flames shoots through the air, closing the short distance between the two mechs.
Leonard: "That's right, my family... I never needed a tribe, I needed a family... and I had one. Ah, how good it'll be... to see you all again."
The fire pours into the Gorilla Mech's open cockpit, filling the machine and exploding it from the inside it a matter of seconds. The mech's remaining arm seems to reach toward the skies above the Eagle lands for a moment, before being enveloped in flame. The Lion Nemesis turns, backlit by the successive explosions of the Gorilla Mech that end in one massive explosion. The Lio Nemesis begins its journey toward the Spire then, transforming into tank form mid-run, and smashing through any enemy infantry or Eagle Striker tanks that are in its path.

OOC: Dang, RIP to the edgy Lycor scene I'd envisioned. Oh well, he is just here to capture Galvanor, after all.
IC: In Galvanor's throne room, one of the eagles stationed outside the room to guard him (by hovering in the sky just outside the glass window, thus able to see, but not hear, the Eagle King) dives through the window with a crash and lunges at Scorpianus.
Eagle: "Your Majesty!"
The eagle tackles the scorpion's feet as the other guard flies in and Galvanor whirls around, jumping far backward with a wing beat.
Eagle: "Sire, get back! We'll stop this intruder!"
Galvanor: "So you will. Thank you, men."
Galvanor flies from the room. However, instead of going outside, he remains in the Spire, seemingly aiming to get something within the tower...
Outside, the Lio Nemesis halts its charge and transforms back into tank mode; the transformation dislodges or snaps the arrow in the process, though the mech is still damaged from the hit.
Lycor: "Oh, that is good. I thought I'd have to... well, never mind then."
The mech's head tilts up, looking to the Spire.
Lycor: "However, I don't think you can capture Galvanor just like that, whoever you are. He is conniving, and probably had a Plan B in the event of something like this. I won't fight any more eagles, as long as they don't try to stop me, but I'm coming for Galvanor regardless..."
With that, the Lio Nemesis charges again, this time running on all fours and closing the distance to the Spire. The mech leaps onto and starts scaling the tower from the outside.
Bliston, seeing all this happening, motions for a ceasefire. He then talks through a sonar speaker, making his voice heard throughout the sky.
Bliston: "Attention, Eagle Tribe forces! Your reinforcements from the west have turned on Galvanor, making you even more outnumbered. Your hangars have all been destroyed, all your jets scattered or shot down, and both of your Supreme Commanders have fallen. Galvanor would have you continue fighting for his protection until there are no more of you, as you must see by now. And I reiterate that we're only here to capture Galvanor. For the sake of your tribe and of Chima, please stop fighting!"
There is silence in the air as the Bats hover around uneasily, not firing, and after a few seconds, nearly all the Eagle Tribe soldiers begin to stow or throw down their weapons in surrender.

The large band of crocodiles who stayed back from the battle now move forward to the base of the Spire, revealing that each of them has several orange spheres strapped to their backs, which any botanically-inclined Chimians might recognise as Bellow Plants. They drop the rocks they are carrying and kick off from the ground, floating upwards towards the Spire.
The air brigade quickly reach the lower landing pads and hangars, where they touch down and start clearing rubble and debris to the back. Meanwhile, three dozen Helicroctors descend to the ground, ready to carry Croc and Chima Alliance infantry up to the Spire as soon as drop-off points have been cleared.

ladymargaret The Eagles inside the throne room continue to fight Scorpianus.
Outside, the Lio Nemesis continues scrambling up the Eagle Spire, fittingly like a cat running up a tree. Sticking into the tower with its knife claws, the mech runs past the arriving Crocodiles, as Lycor is determined to get to the top.
Near the top of the Spire, Galvanor looks out the widow at the encircling Crocodiles. He swings into the ball-like cockpit of a turret, which has its laser cannons pointing out a slit in the wall. Galvanor points the cannon down and, despite intending to aim at the crocs, now sees the rapidly approaching mech. The young gryphon desperately fires at the Lio Nemesis, which dodges some of the blasts, but gets hit by others.
Even as his mech gets blasted apart, Lycor continues his furious charge.
Lycor: "GALVANOR!!!!"
The lion opens and jumps out of the cockpit of his mech as the damaged machine falls, after having gotten near the top of the Spire. Even as the Lio Nemesis crashes down onto a landing pad, Lycor stabs his fire valious into the side of the tower, using fire chi enhanced power to vault himself up, pulling the blade out behind him and closing the short distance between himself and Galvanor.
Galvanor: "You're still--?! This guy's some kind of a monster!"
The gryphon jumps backward out of the turret just before Lycor, with feline agility, goes through the slit in the wall, landing atop the cockpit. Galvanor quickly summons knives from his gauntlets.
Galvanor: "...So Lycor, I guess this is--WOAH!"
He barely has time to block a sword swing from the lion, who'd pounced across the room immediately. Galvanor flies up, but Lycor jumps onto the walls of the room, running on the walls with chi enhanced speed to continue the fight. Galvanor flies back down and dives toward the turret slit, but Lycor grabs his wing and throws him back into the room. Galvanor rolls back onto his feet, skillfully evading and then blocking more fast strikes from Lycor as their duel continues on foot.
Galvanor: "Not...hesitating, huh? Then I won't either!"
Lycor: "I see... You talk constantly during battle as a way to cope with the violence."
Galvanor: "What!?"
Their blades clang rapidly.
Lycor: "And yet, you didn't even try to evacuate the civilians from within the Spire! Why am I not surprised, Galvanor?"
The gryphon manages to put some distance between them with a kick, and then shrugs.
Galvanor: "I have no reason to feel sympathy for the people of this continent, even if I'm descended from them. As I've said, these aren't my people, this ain't my home, and the only one here who treated me like a person was the Eagle King. Oh, and about what you said? I was an unarmed civilian back in the Purple City; both sides couldn't have cared less about me getting caught in the crossfire, and funnily enough, frozen. So you could say the people of this land created the Galvanor before you today."
Lycor growls: "And that's a mistake we'll now fix..."

-Forgotten Eagles watch from the distance, Eris and Edessa watching longinly, they missed out on a chance that they wanted to do, making their tribe surrender to their faction!-
Edessa: "Curses! We're late and now look what happened! Why is our controller so inactive and non-attentive?!"
Eris: "Yeah, you can say that again..." -she'd rolled her eyes, sighing in disbelife-
Edessa: "I do wonder what happened to Leonardo though... is that man still with us or did he go AWOL?!"
Eris: "Who knows, teacher. Is... is it bad im kinda getting disillusioned with this whole Forgotten thing...? Are others feeling what i'm feeling or is it just me...?"
Edessa: -scratches his head with an akward look on his face- "U-uhm... der-yai... er... I-I dunno, Miss Egalane... Maybe The Forgotten has gotten too big for itself to handle..."
Eris: "Should we tell the rest of our faction this...?"
Edessa: "Well, if Dr. Freeman allows it, and Miss Vance too..."
-Most of the Forgotten Eagles leave this area and head back to Southernfell, some stay behind to hopefully brush up on their bartering and trading skills with the locals as taught by Forgotten Ravens.-

"We need to secure the Spire before Galvanor can try anything, and no transports can land in those hangars at the moment....Bellow Brigade! Move up and secure the landing area!"
Scorpianus dodged an eagle attack, ran to the window shot at Galvanor and then surrendered.

Scorpianus dodged an eagle attack, ran to the window shot at Galvanor and then surrendered.
OOC: Galvanor is still inside the Spire, technically.
IC: In the sky outside, the Bats see the blasts coming out of the throne room window. Eight bats fly down into the window and come up on the eagles from behind, outnumbering and dispatching the last Primordium eagles. The bats look to Scorpianus.
Bat: "You alright?"
Meanwhile, Lycor continues to duel Galvanor, and they talk as they fight.
Lycor: "If you want to talk, then let's talk! Why are you so obsessed with revenge? You're surely smart enough to realize that the Rays alive today aren't the ones who destroyed your tribe, right? You said yourself that it was well over 800 years ago."
Galvanor: "Because regardless, the Ray species has to be wiped out, for justice to be attained! It's the only fair punishment!"
Lycor: "You've got some twisted definitions of 'justice' and 'fairness', then."
Galvanor: "No, the only truly fair punishment is one of equivalent exchange! A life for a life, an injury for an injury, an eye for an eye! That is what my father, Gryphon Chief Grynix, always said! If you removed me of my arm, then it would be my prerogative, my basic right as a sentient being, to take off YOUR arm!"
Lycor: "Then by that logic, it should be myright to take your life after what you did to my uncle!"
Galvanor: "Y--yes, it is! I don't deny that! It is your right. I'll accept my punishment fairly, but not before I complete my mission! I can't be slain before I achieve my goals!"
Lycor: "And yet, you would be ending the lives of many Rays, before any of them can achieve theirgoals!"
The lion cuts the knives off of Galvanor's gauntlets in quick succession, and hits his opponent in the forehead with the hilt of his valious. As Galvanor stumbles back, Lycor sheathes his sword and lunges, punching the gryphon in the face before he can regain his balance. Lycor follows it up with a continuous right, left, right, left rhythm.
Lycor talks between punches: "NOW--boom--YOU SEE--boom--HOW PARA--boom--DOXICAL--boom--"
As Galvanor stumbles again and swings his own disoriented fists in vain, Lycor grabs his shoulders, pulling the gryphon toward him before kneeing him in the stomach. Finally, Galvanor falls; first to his knees as Lycor steps aside, panting, and then finally to the floor.
Lycor: "...your philosophy is!"
As both of their fire chi orbs fizzle out, Lycor pulls handcuffs from the bag on his belt, roughly grabbing the downed adversary's arms and cuffing his wrists behind him, before hoisting Galvanor up. Lycor walks with (but practically drags) Galvanor to the highest level of the Spire that can be stood upon, waving to a Lion Twinblade as the helicopter approaches. Lycor looks down, seeing two more Twinblades lifting the Lio Nemesis from the balcony it had landed on, after the crews of the helicopters had pulled tough wires up under its armpits and elbows.
Lycor, after being helped into the Twinblade's transport bay, announces over the radio that Galvanor has been captured.

The Twinblades that carry Lycor, Galvanor and the Lio Nemesis, along with a contingent of jets surrounding them, depart almost immediately, but the rest of the Lion and Bat forces remain here on their kings' orders to help wounded civilians, route any remaining Primordium-aligned Eagles, and figure out how to handle the Eagle Tribe's leadership. Bliston flies to the Spire to meet with the Crocodiles and foreign Eagles.

As the battle ends, Bellow Brigade continues to float between the hangars, clearing each one in turn. Dozens of Helicroctors land on the Spire as more landing pads become available, Crocodile soldiers diembarking and securing the rest of the Eagle HQ. Queen Carina leads to a group to inspect the dungeons, where they begin consulting the Eagle records to work out which inmates are criminals and which are political prisoners. A large number of the latter group starts to stream out as their cells are opened, including the former regent Ewinus.
As Bliston flies up, he sees King Crogar standing just inside a doorframe leading to the Eagle Library, directing a pair of Bellow Brigade members who are trying to fix a rope ladder to the outside so that the rest of the Crocs and Lions can move about the Spire without having to strap plants to their backs. He turns as he sees the Bliston approaching, greeting his fellow monarch genially.

Bliston: "Ah, King Crogar! I am glad to see you're alive and well."
The Bat King looks outside.
Bliston: "By the way, do you know who these foreign Eagles are? They came from the west, and with them, some Lions and Tigers. There was no mention of such a group on the sea, either in Ludwig Luggington's history books, or here in the Eagle Library."

"Likewise." Crogar mirrors Bliston, curously looking out at the strangers. "I can't say I do; we had no idea they existed until we arrived here. Our naval expeditions have never come across any such group, though our ships haven't been too far east..."
