The J Kinda wonder, where the hecc is Skunkeltia and Skinnet in this event so far? also catch me up on whats happening, been a bit since i was last here.
(OOC: The Forgotten don't know the full story, yet they fight them anyway cuz they are hostile. It's a coincidence.)
OOC: I just remembered that the whole Elemental Balance thing was explained to them at the Tribal Summit anyway.
(OOC: Well, they prolly have forgotten that since alot of the forgotten's attention spans is a fruitfly's. Balance prolly didn't matter to them anyway as long as they benefit from whatever side they were fighting.)
OOC: We only have one plane atm...though there were actually a few biplanes in the Arctic North where we picked up Ace, so they could have followed shortly behind...
IC: Over a hundred Sabretooths are now marching towards the HQ. As they come under fire from the cannon and several of them fall to its blasts, the rest take cover behind trees and boulders, their leader radioing for backup.
A few minutes later, Byrum, Beale and the rest of the defenders hear the drone of engines and start to make out small dots on the north-eastern horizon. They steadily grow in size, revealing several squadrons of Hunter biplanes making straight for the HQ. As they come within range, they dive-bomb the structure, pelting it with ice blasts and small bombs.
IC: "Oh, Beale take cover!" Byrum covers his head, but Beale lifts his Fire-Chi powered shield above them, deflecting the raining ice projectiles. Beale screams from the top of his lungs, "Boulder Formation! Boulder Formation!"
The impact of the air strike knocks fighters off the ramparts. Chilling ice extends outward, freezing those who did not plug in their Fire Chi beforehand. A damaged cannon begins to fire wildly in all directions before tearing off from its turret and plunging downward.
Dodging its fire, the remaining minutemen relay Beale's command, raising their fire-chi powered shields, but allowing enough space for small cannons to aim both front and upward.
OOC: "Boulder" Formation is based on Ancient Roman "Tortoise" Formation, but as no such creature exists in Chima I made a name out of the blue since I can't remember if force fields are cannon to this version of Chima. We know the Phoenix implemented a type of force field to protect the Crescent, but do the Minor Tribes have such Fire-Chi powered technology?
OOC: There were similar forcefields hiding the Tiger and Leopard HQs from view, but they've since dissipated.

OOC: The Battle of Eagle Spire (and by extension, the Second Chima Civil War) ended with Primordium's generals being destroyed and Galvanor being captured by Lycor. The Bats and Crocodiles are still at Eagle Spire, helping civilians while kings Bliston and Crogar try to figure out the matter of the Eagles' leadership.
With Primordium disbanded and Galvanor imprisoned, the Chima Alliance and Unichi seemingly don't have to worry about the aquatic tribes being alerted to the eastern continent's existence, and have thus shifted their focus back to combating the Ice Hunters' invasion and finding the Fire Wing Harnesses. An unspoken contest has begun between two different plans for an Illumination; Lycor's Realm-Merging Plan (see the Lion City topic), and Malgus and Scorponok's Phoenix Mortality Plan (see the Wastelands topic).
Initially searching for the Minor Tribes' missing leader Traxx, Petricoff and his party instead found one of the Fire Wing Harnesses. They were ambushed by a force of Sabertooths, including the royal family (with the exception of Saban) on their way back to Minor Tribes HQ. I think you had mentioned Skinnet and Skunkeltia coming back here with Petricoff during the Second Chima Civil War.
The Triplane continues to bombard Petricoff as he grows closer to the Rhino lands, where the rockier ground might provide some cover. Right before he crosses the border, though, the gunners abruptly stop firing. Seconds later, a volley of ice blasts clam into the ground right in front of the fleeing peacock, instantly creating a block of ice, covered in long spikes, large enough to throw Petricoff from his speedor as he crashes into it.
Petricoff swerves, trying to take a sharp left in light of the spikes' formation, but he doesn't turn in time to avoid contact, and the right side of his speedor slams against the wall of ice. The peacock falls from his speedor and rolls on the ground, as his speedor spins, its backside smashing into and shattering part of the ice wall, before it comes to a stop on a nearby boulder. Petricoff grunts and pushes himself up, stumbling through the part of the ice wall that was broken open by his speedor.
As the Triplane flies over the ice block, Finglor leaps from the cockpit, swallowing an orb of Chi mid-leap, and lands in a crouched position on the ground not far from Petricoff. Having landing a little ahead of the peacock due to the Triplane's speed, the sabretooth king draws his sword and strides toward Petricoff, triumph written on his face.
"It is over, peacock. The Fire Wing Harness will be mine, one way or another. Yield it to me willingly, and you may leave alive and unharmed."

After about a minute, the bombardment subsides as the biplanes pull out and regroup.

IC: *The hunters see the fiery projections as minor tribesmen of more than 1,000 strong use fire chi. Plus fire chi is inserted into the necessary vehicles.
The tanks, numbering 60, let loose a volley of fire blasts as soon as the biplanes are in range, all of the vehicles then drive to the side of the HQ that the Hunters are advancing towards.
The seventy carboats drive forward a bit, then drift into position, forming a blockade between the sabretooths and the HQ. The beavers in them hop out and take cover behind, as well as two peacocks that were in each carboat as passengers. The peacocks and beavers wait for the sabretooths to come within range.
Once again, the sabretooths that are on foot are being harassed by heated shurikens and other devices from the ninja.*
*Inside the fort, the citizens once again evacuate. Many of them are annoyed that they just got back, only to be forced to leave again. The older ones grumble the whole time.*
The sudden reaction of the tanks blasts numerous biplanes out of the air, but their trajectory results in most of them crashing straight into the wall and roof of the HQ, the bombs they are carrying going off under the force of the impact.
The rest of the Hunter planes pull up after dropping their bombs and regroup west of the stronghold. Instead of circling around for another bombing run or retreating north-east, they begin to climb higher and higher into the sky, quickly becoming little more than barely distinguishable specks.
The infantry's progress is stalled by the ninja, and they stop short of the carboat blockade, focusing on regrouping and locating the nearest ninja by freezing the surrounding area.
Meanwhile, any sentries posted on the coastline behold a terrifying sight.
The Sabretooth Fleet has returned.
The wooden sailing ships that survived the previous battle now move with the power of motor engines, whilst they are accompanied by dozens of ironclad gunboats, cannons turning to aim at the shoreline. In their midst, a huge dreadnought stands out from the other vessels, its next-generation weapons and armour visibly powerful enough to strike fear into even a seasoned foe.

OOC: Skunkeltia and Skinnet should be with the other citizens, who came back to the HQ and are evacuating again. Fives made a tactical error bringing them back at the time he did.

After about a minute, the bombardment subsides as the biplanes pull out and regroup.
Removing their shields, the minutemen inspect their equipment and survey injuries. Byrum pulls out a bandage and binds the leg of an injured beaver. Looking up from his work, he scans the area for Beale. Hearing distressed whimpers, Byrum leaves the beaver to the care of a bear and follows the sound of crying.
Standing next to his brother, Byrum pats Beale's shoulder reassuringly. "Don't fret now, she had a good run."
Holding the remaining pieces of his cannon, Beale cries even harder before burring his head into his brother's arms. "It...it took me so long. *sniff* Why...why now." Throwing them down, he whistles to the beavers nearby and rasps out a battle cry. "Fix it! Fix it!"
The other beavers jump up and down, screaming wildly. "Fix it! Fix it!" They rush like a flood onto the cannon and begin repairs. Byrum's eyes grow wide. "But what about the rest of the fort?"
A loud whoosh is heard. Behind him, other beaver tribe members appear, standing at attention and eagerly holding tools and materials.

OOC: Reading the rest of the thread, I am confused on the position of the fort. Is it being attacked from the front, and then by ships on the other end of the fort that is near a body of water?
