Petricoff sees the Rhino lands in the distance and pushes his speedor to its max as his fellows get knocked off their speedorz from the force of the blasts one by one.
Petricoff: "So... close!"
In the fort, Byrum takes a seat in Beale's new invention, a revolving triple shot canon. Giving a thumbs up, Beale loads the hardened moss balls full of highly flammable gas acquired at the Croc Swamp and smiles.
Aiming the canon, Byrum shouts a war cry before firing a round of rocks at a passing Hunter plane, taking out the tip of its wing. He whoops in joy. "Better ignite some more up that Croc plant. Look how fast that rock blew by!"
Stringing together a second row of plants, Beale dances a small jig and lights them once more.
OOC: Okay, hang on. As far as I know, the hunter triplane is the only plane in the air. I don't think the triplane is close enough to the fort to be able to hit though.
IC: *As Fives and Ranger left with part of the army to talk sense into the rhinos, Hevy is left in charge of the army left here. He starts barking out orders to the army stationed outside, the skunks and peacocks stay put at the gate, while the beavers drive off towards Petricoff with a few pack trackers. Hevy walks inside the gate.* "Rally the minutemen!" *He walks back outside as the gate slides shut and the portcullis is lowered.*
OOC: If you want TheFortuitousMysteryRider , Byrum can be the leader of the minutemen. I made a post a while back about all foxes, peacocks, skunks, and beavers that wanted to fight being trained to fight and be ready in case of an attack. So, spaced out along the top of the wall are iron stake launchers that can be manned by certain of the minor tribesmen minutemen who've trained with them. That's what the fort has in way of turrets (iron stakes would be effective even if they were frozen or shot, that's why they were chosen).
IC: Byrum hops skips forward, whirling his wooden mallet while hollering to his brother. "Have your arms ready?"
Struggling to push his new device across the field and onto the top of the wall, Beale wipes perspiration from his brow. "Going to need some help getting the 'Triple Shot' up there."
Byrum throws his brother an orb of Chi and continues to yell. "Meet me on the ramparts with the rest of the minutemen! And can someone get me some Fire Chi!" He hobbles onto the stairs and views the oncoming horde before ducking for cover.
IC: *Smoke erupts all over the place, concentrated between the peacocks and the triplane. A ninja fox stands up beyond Petricoff and to the side. Petricoff catches "Godspeed!" as he speeds past. The ninja fox throws down a mix of powders that explodes in a cloud of smoke once Petricoff is safely beyond.*
The Triplane's guns continue to pelt the tribesmen with ice blasts, though several shift their attention from Petricoff to those firing at the plane. Although they have successfully created a distraction, the tribespeople on the ground find their shots deal little damage: the Triplane's size, its tough exterior and constant movement allow the vehicle to easily withstand sidearm blasts.
The smoke does serve to mask the fleeing Peacock momentarily, but in one of the main cockpits, Sabradia pulls out Maulryene's tusk and balances it on the palm of her hand. Glowing with elemental fire energy, the tusk rotates, its tip pointing straight at the Harness below. The gunners aim their shots along the same trajectory, all landing with a few feet of Petricoff in spite of the smoke shield.
As the beaver reinforcements grow closer, they see at least forty Sabretooths emerging from the shadow of some trees ahead; the Hunters raise their sidearms and open fire.
Elsewhere, other groups of Sabretooths emerge from other tunnel entrances, travelling in groups of at least a dozen. Most are on foot, though a few have brought speedorz. They quickly fan out, aiming to cut Petricoff off from the HQ.

Right before he crosses the border, though, the gunners abruptly stop firing. Seconds later, a volley of ice blasts clam into the ground right in front of the fleeing peacock, instantly creating a block of ice, covered in long spikes, large enough to throw Petricoff from his speedor as he crashes into it.

OOC: We only have one plane atm...though there were actually a few biplanes in the Arctic North where we picked up Ace, so they could have followed shortly behind...
IC: Over a hundred Sabretooths are now marching towards the HQ. As they come under fire from the cannon and several of them fall to its blasts, the rest take cover behind trees and boulders, their leader radioing for backup.
A few minutes later, Byrum, Beale and the rest of the defenders hear the drone of engines and start to make out small dots on the north-eastern horizon. They steadily grow in size, revealing several squadrons of Hunter biplanes making straight for the HQ. As they come within range, they dive-bomb the structure, pelting it with ice blasts and small bombs.

The peacock falls from his speedor and rolls on the ground, as his speedor spins, its backside smashing into and shattering part of the ice wall, before it comes to a stop on a nearby boulder. Petricoff grunts and pushes himself up, stumbling through the part of the ice wall that was broken open by his speedor.

IC: "Oh, Beale take cover!" Byrum covers his head, but Beale lifts his Fire-Chi powered shield above them, deflecting the raining ice projectiles. Beale screams from the top of his lungs, "Boulder Formation! Boulder Formation!"
The impact of the air strike knocks fighters off the ramparts. Chilling ice extends outward, freezing those who did not plug in their Fire Chi beforehand. A damaged cannon begins to fire wildly in all directions before tearing off from its turret and plunging downward.
Dodging its fire, the remaining minutemen relay Beale's command, raising their fire-chi powered shields, but allowing enough space for small cannons to aim both front and upward.
OOC: "Boulder" Formation is based on Ancient Roman "Tortoise" Formation, but as no such creature exists in Chima I made a name out of the blue since I can't remember if force fields are cannon to this version of Chima. We know the Phoenix implemented a type of force field to protect the Crescent, but do the Minor Tribes have such Fire-Chi powered technology?

IC: *A ninja fox runs up to Fives.* "Sir, there's a big contingement of rhinos dressed for war marching towards the lion city."
Fives: "...Hang on. What?! That doesn't even make sense.. but this is bad, the Lions have just been attacked majorly. Argh, and our forces are halved because many soldiers went with Petricoff." *Fives waves his paw.* "Whatever. We need to move, NOW! I know it's breaking tradition for the ninja, but you may need to delay the rhinos."
Ninja Fox: "Yes, sir." *He runs off.*
Fives dashes out of the building he's in overseeing the supplies and hurriedly alerts Ranger and rounds up the soldiers. They are all on the move, STAT. The soldiers that could be found are just starting to march when the citizens of the minor tribes arrive, ninja foxes form a half circle barrier on seeing that the citizens can't get inside at the moment.
Fives: "Well this is not ideal timing. Clear a path, men. Let everyone through." *The soldiers and vehicles move aside, and every non-soldier beaver, fox, skunk, and peacock walks through the army on both sides and then through the gate. Fives splits half of the soldiers in each group and has them stay at the HQ, then the army marches. The ninja fox' that were escorting disperse and hide with the environment again.*

IC: *The hunters see the fiery projections as minor tribesmen of more than 1,000 strong use fire chi. Plus fire chi is inserted into the necessary vehicles.
The tanks, numbering 60, let loose a volley of fire blasts as soon as the biplanes are in range, all of the vehicles then drive to the side of the HQ that the Hunters are advancing towards.
The seventy carboats drive forward a bit, then drift into position, forming a blockade between the sabretooths and the HQ. The beavers in them hop out and take cover behind, as well as two peacocks that were in each carboat as passengers. The peacocks and beavers wait for the sabretooths to come within range.
Once again, the sabretooths that are on foot are being harassed by heated shurikens and other devices from the ninja.*
*Inside the fort, the citizens once again evacuate. Many of them are annoyed that they just got back, only to be forced to leave again. The older ones grumble the whole time.*
