Hey opperman! I haven't talked LU with you in a while:O! I forget, were we friends or enemies in LU:P? Not even joking, it seemed like most famous people in LU were either my friend or enemy:S. I think it was because I was a RUTHLESS trader, at least until I went to Storm. I changed my act on Storm and actually got pretty famous there! It was kind of fun to work my way up again. There I was a minifigure named "ImaginationKid". My best friend was easily the user who came with me, Flambridge. I did meet lots of other great users though. I even made it into Mook's Storm Hall of Fame:D! Anyways, what have you been up to since it closed? I mostly just posted on the LMBs and played other video games, but with the LMBs ending I have realized video games were taking up WAY too much of my life and quit them. I now am learning programming and hope to help make a video game in the future:).
Didn't really know you in LU, if I remember correctly. Didn't really go on Storm much at all. Not much really, following the LU server(s) drama. And playing various different games, haven't really had a 'go to' game since LU though.
I remember you, or maybe I just remember you because you were famous:P. I was on Overbuild originally. I left after Ninewells said some harsh things to me. Sad to hear he passed, we never got to make things right:(. Me, Flam, and Wells were all BFs with each other until then. After that Wells blocked me and I decided to go to Storm. Flam decided to come too, although I don't remember why. I think it was something else though, maybe he just wanted to get to know the Storm users. Anyways, on Overbuild I was known as diglett809 mostly. I didn't do much building, mostly just farmed rares and traded. I believe I was the first user to get 1,000,000 plastic or something. I was ruthless I admit, I bought a Black Pirate Ship Shirt for 500 and sold it for 500,000:O:P! Most of the time I was either found farming rares in GF or in Nimbus Station center selling or flipping rares. I also had a property in Nimbus Station called "The LU Flea market". It was a place where I hosted "trading parties". We would literally have 3-4 servers full of users trading rares and chatting. It was a bad prop build-wise and was only used for trade parties. Those trade parties got me a Jester Hat though, I even passed Hollis Labs every time I had one:O:P! I ended up being hated though for being too ruthless a trader, so I left for Storm. Right when I got there, Ninewells found me and convinced me to return to Overbuild under a new account and build with him, which I named LegendaryBuilderWells. On this account ALL I did was farm bricks and and build props. I usually just built them, showed them to my BFs Flam and Wells, then took them apart for bricks and prop space. I never got a lot of reputation on this account as all I really cared about was showing my builds to my best buds:). Then the Wells argument happened, me and Flam went to Storm, and ImaginationKid was born:P. So yeah, in that one or so year or LU I got the full experience from fighting to socializing to building:). I actually even became a good racer too thanks to training from Murphy:D! I won a racing tournament held by Murphy at the Nimbus Station track, beating not only Murphy but also the legendary Gallardo:O! I even went on to win an official LU racing contest at the GF track:D! Even though I literally did everything though, I would do almost anything to have it back:(.
As for the LU server drama, I literally just got into this mess. I had a go-to game for a while called Runescape, and it lasted about a year. I actually just quit a few weeks ago when the LMBs were announced to close. Anyways, what has been happening with this server drama? I have heard there was lots of drama, but I don't really know much about it as I just found out about these LU servers when the LMBs were announced to close.

Also, how many posts is required to get rid of this horrible anonymous avatar?
Oh, you just need to message Keplers or Helios the avatar you want and they will change it for you:). This is the only way to moderate avatars as of now. I think you can message by clicking "messages" on the orange bar at the top. I think they recently made a rule that they MUST be LEGO related now though, despite the fact that most aren't.

Brief history lesson time (Will be roughly accurate) So around 2013-2014 some developers released a a server named luni v3 with the help of some packets captured by pwjones. Later in this project enters Timtech, Timtech took the server and published it on his website. The 'leader' of luni (Raffa) disagreed with this very much, after numerous disagreements the original luni team essentially split. (Note the fact Timtech wasn't/isn't a developer) one developer had sided with Timtech (Jon002) he continued development on the server and it was dubbed "LUNI" (LEGO Universe Newly Imagined) the other developers went to work in private where they wouldn't have to deal with public disturbances. LUNI continued to struggle along, eventually gaining a developer very late in it's life (Xiphoseer) who revived LUNI and made it a much more playable experience, implementing multiplayer, chat, item equipping and some other smaller features. This newer version of the server led to many people wanting to set up public servers of their own, the only remaining of those servers today is LEGO Universe Reborn. (LEGO Universe Reborn is a very struggling project, in my opinion.) So skip ahead a little ways, people start to find out about a new server named "Darkflame LEGO Universe" they eventually gain LUNI devs Jon002, Xiphoseer, and Jonny. DLU as you know just announced they are entering closed Alpha on the 31st, in my opinion they are by far the most professional group working on a LEGO Universe project.

Being a ruthless trader was one of LU's brightest spots IMO. The lack of any form of "galactic" trade market allows for more profitable trading. I never really knew Ninewells well, (He passed away sometime while the game was live I heard) I didn't talk too much to any of the WBL players, except later in the game I got to know HappyPappy. Racing in LU was arguably the area I was worst at, outside of Vertigo Loop I could hardly complete a track.
I was looking through my old computer game disks and found a random orange disk that said "LEGO Universe"! I am guessing it was just a copy I made in case the original got scratched.

Yeah, I have LU Reborn, but it's never online so I'm yet to actually play:(. I found out about DLU on the day the LMBs were announced to close about, so around the 5th or so of January. I am trying to get an alpha key, but I work a lot so I doubt I will:(. I would love to help them as I am learning C++ which I believe is the language LU was made in, but I heard they didn't want anybody new. Not to mention one of the devs, Neal, doesn't really like me last I checked, or at least didn't in LU if I remember correctly:(. I still plan to play though:).

I know, I think people were just jealous of me TBH:P. I wasn't ruthless at all near the end, I even gave away my briefcase for free:O! I ended up buying one a week later for 300,000, and I linked that one. I never had one linked before as I only got one from a drop and never traded for one. I didn't know what was more important, the cash of the case, so I kept it unlinked. I knew Ninewells too well actually. We had GREAT times, but I also learned a secret from him. Turns out he wasn't really a fan of kids, and that is eventually what led to us blocking each other. He called me too kiddish one day for some reason, forget what, but then he threw some VERY bad words and we never spoke again besides one mail message. I forgave him, but he never forgave me. One time I saw him at Nexus Tower, but he just ran away when he saw me:(. That would make sense considering I never saw him online for the last month or two of LU:(. I didn't like the WBL users mostly, they took advantage of stuff too much. For example, I had my legendary Ref Shirt which I got for pre-ordering Amazon's one copy of LU. All in all, only I had it. Then the WBL users came along getting all these promotional items for free from Mythrans, and one guy always walked around with my Ref Shirt:@! Made me real angry, and ever since then I hated the WBL. Ninewells and Flambridge were exceptions though. They didn't care AT ALL about items, they just liked building and properties. That's all we did, the three of us just chatted and built props for a few months. It was very fun:). It was during that time that the Wells thing happened and me and Flam went to Storm. On Storm I got back into the game a bit, but still mostly just built props with Flam. Me and Flam both got our Jester Hats there:). I remember HappyPappy, but didn't really know him personally. I didn't know any WBL members personally besides Wells and Flam. I found racing pretty easy from the start, and only got better as Murphy trained me and as I practiced:). The Forbidden Valley course was the only one I ever had trouble with.

Love your avatar Opperman:D! I thought about putting an LU picture as mine, but decided to use the render Hollis made for me of my LU minifig with no items on:). I remember, The Machine was the one who told me they were using it. Is The Machine doing anything for an LU project also?

Yeah near the end the of the game the WBL members started showing off the items they had quite a bit. Yeah Ninewells wasn't exactly a friendly sort from what I knew.

Hollis isn't involved with either DLU or LNA (Hollis's modeling work is far beyond what LNA can do. ) Yeah BUILD went under like a year or two ago, people just weren't able to quite agree on everything from what I heard. As for Machine he was working on DLU for a while though I don't believe he's an active developer right now.

I know, it was pretty unfair. Those items were supposed to be a bonus for pre-ordering LU from different places, not for being in some stupid club:S. He was friendly to me for a while, but always said how he hated kids and thought they were immature. You were a kid at the time, as were most of us, so I can see why he seemed unfriendly. Ironically he had a kid of his own:S.

I know, Hollis is amazing at modeling. I have seen some of his latest stuff, it's really cool:). Why doesn't he get involved with LNA if he is good enough to help them*-)? That's too bad, I wish people could just agree and get stuff done:(. I guess it's easier said than done though. Seems like all these LU projects end because users can't agree:|.

I am the opposite. At the time I didn't know any programming since I hadn't done my high school courses yet, so I really couldn't join. I wish I did though, it would have got me some experience and got me involved with my LU friends, even if it never did get finished:).
