A swathe of skakdi all one by one receive a thundering message in their thoughts. This, "path" of skakdi snakes it's way all over Zakaz until the message reaches all on the island.
"Bring me all your skakdi of light, and whatever one wish you make will be yours."

"Bring me all your skakdi of light, and whatever one wish you make will be yours."
No one skakdi knows who broadcasted the message, but they all seem to understand that it must be a makuta.
Speaking of makuta, a skakdi patrol spots Avoss in a clearing near dagger-plant beach. The patrol agrees to keep this a secret, and slowly round up the Av-skakdi one by one. Despite it being a, "secret," a traitor in their midst reports the info to their chief, and soon word and action spreads across the entire island.

Despite it being a, "secret," a traitor in their midst reports the info to their chief, and soon word and action spreads across the entire island.
In little time, nearly all the skakdi of light are brought to the Makuta, arms bound and eyes covered.
A skakdi warlord jabs his accusatory weapon toward Makuta. "I brought you your wish." He raises his hand, and all his soldiers aim their weapons at the Av-skakdi's heads. "Now grant mine. Make me the most powerful warlord there ever was."
"Nah, let them {be smashed}." Another warlord dismisses his rival. "We have even more then him. In fact, it looks like we have more than anyone." His soldiers give each other a look.
"Actually," One of the soldiers speaks up. "We're with Nektaka, now." A few of the warlord's skakdi not on prisoner duty point their weapons at their former chief.
"Oh, no, you can't do this to me. Not now." He reaches for a device at his hip, only to find it missing.
"Looking for this?" The first Warlord raises a small cylindrical device with a button on top. With his other hand, he shows off a fresh set of cut spines, which he tosses at the second warlord's feet. "Watch your tahtorak, Brukokara. They tend to go wild when you don't keep them in line."
A third warlord silently considers his options.
One lone skakdi hidden in the bushes with his own group of three unconscious skakdi of light decides to call it a lost cause, cuts his prisoners free, and leaves.
Brukokara checks his weapon. If he couldn't have his wish granted, or even his own army he worked so hard at rigging with loyalty inducing explosives, then no one could. He shot a single thin beam of energy at the device in Nektaka's hand, triggering it.
Thirteen skakdi fall to to ground, while others clutch their necks in shock. Somehow, they had survived. Still, their former warlord would pay for such a vain attempt. They opened fire on Brukokara.
Avoss: Maybe these skakdi are more trouble that they're worth. Karz, how have they survived this long?

"SLEEP!"
The echoes of Makuta's powerscream and the ensemble of skakdi simultaneously drop in seconds.
Avoss levitates the unconscious Av-skakdi with gravity, and brings them in. "Avaki." He reflects. "The matoran words for light, and valor. These fools will give their lives taking down the Brotherhood." Makuta swivels his head towards the sleeping horde. He still wears a blindfold over his kanohi, making it impossible to truly see. "Although if they are failures, I will smash them myself."
