The Northern Continent lies just south of Metru Nui, and contains many Matoran settlements. Jutting out the southeastern tip is a peninsula where it is said that a being of incredible power resides, and there he rots: having completed his destiny, and not having any duty or purpose. it is best to leave such a being alone.
Landix sits in his outpost, bored almost to death.
"Why couldn't I have been assigned to a more interesting region?" he says to himself. "I just sit here all day, while the Matoran do nothing but work."

A voice whispers inside his head. Landix recognizes it at the voice of his brother Ornirax.
Landix. I heard quite the interesting idea today, and from a Skakdi of all beings. He mentioned usurping the Great Spirit. It sounds insane, but think of the power it would give us and the order it would bring to the universe. The Matoran would stop quarreling. The Skakdi would probably stop fighting. There would never be another uprising, war, or rebellion again. Do you think it would be possible?

Landix is shocked at the idea, and doesn't know whether to support it or go against it.
While it sounds like a good idea at first, it would almost certainly get the entire Brotherhood killed! And, in fact, the Skakdi would benefit most from our failure. They could war with each other and have no interference from a Makuta again.
He thinks carefully before communicating his next words.

For future reference, it is best to keep mental conversations within jammers.

I thought the Barraki were the only six members of their species, though...? Did Mata Nui create more in this universe?
Mata Nui created six species, one from each of these species were appointed to be rulers of the Matoran Universe. Unfortunately, they decided conquest was the best way to rule. The Brotherhood remained neutral until The League decided to attack Metru Nui.

And an army of all six species attacked the Northern Continent?
