Emarcee's eyes narrowed at the Glatorian. Suddenly, he vanished, and when he reappeared, his own blade was now positioned dangerously close to Mortraz's neck.
"I must warn you that my powers, abilities, and intelligence are comparable to yours. You can, and should come quietly. As I said before, you do not belong here."
"Hold that thought."
A white-blue glow appears around Mortraz's arm and Emarcee, and the latter is thrown backwards into Lokkinci. Mortraz makes a break for it, ducking into a nearby alleyway.
Emarcee utilized telekinesis of his own to stop himself mid-air, and then proceeded to speed off toward Mortraz. Thrusting his spear forward as he pursues his target at extreme speeds.

Lady Landrinia's eyes widen as the blast fly at her. A spear flies upwards, taking one of the blasts, while one of the Vortixx guards leaps forwards to take another, though he is smashed in the process. The assistant, female Vortixx also leaps forwards to save her mistress, hurling her stack of papers into the air. Most of them scatter, and are blasted apart, but several are bound in large blocks and fly straight at the Makuta.
Lady Landrinia stares at the pieces of scattered paper and fallen guard.
"How.Dare.You.Attack.Xia."
She proceeds to charge at him, bringing her staff down hard towards his head.
OOC: Orcorix was pulled away by metru at kakama speeds, he's not there anymore. Also, depending on which blast hit the staff either the staff would be shattered, or, if it conducts electricity, she would be fatally electrocuted. If it isn't a conductor then she would be dazed from the lightning, but mostly unharmed.
OOC: The staff was never hit by a blast; the guard, his spear, and a load of papers were. You never said Orcorix charged his head with anything, and that's what the staff hit.

Diode flutters about her private laboratory. She is not alone. "Yes, I am sure, Mhrakh!" She says, laying down on a table. "Corathe is not to be trifled with. I need more power if I am to compete with her."
"Hey, don't snap at me. Just making sure. Let's see.. What should we give you. Camouflage, or perhaps Silence?"
"Why would I need those?"
"True. You are the Queen of Xia, you needn't have either. Disintegration?"
"Mm, yes. Wonderful. What about Plasma Gloves connected to a psi-thermal connector?" Diode pondered.
"Yes." He places the proper restrictions on Diode. "However, to fulfill our goal, to be a Sixth.. You are not worthy in your current state."
"What are you saying, Mhrakh?"
"Just a few more modifications than suggested." He smiles. "I'm thinking, an additional pair of arms, and some holo-tech? Yes.."
Diode regretted leaving her guard behind, and making her laboratory sound-proof.

Literally just hologram projection and manipulation, as well as getting SUPER hot hands to burn stuff, or super cold to freeze, but can only make ice if touching water, or burn stuff if touching something that combusts or flames when next to heat. I have but one question.
Why?
Diode and Mrahkh both have their own agendas.
Let's just say, there are a few differences among their agendas though, and are not always going to coincide

Emarcee rounds the corner just in time to see an Olmak-like portal closing completely.
There are SO many more simple gadgets they could use.
Before I point out a very simple flaw in this, I'm going to ask you
What 'simple gadgets'?
Oh, I don't know. Maybe:
Rhotuka blades, acid tipped spears, tri-claws, seismic staves, catcher claws, rhotuka battle axes, twilight blades, herding blades... the list of weapons Xia has or could produce goes on and on. It just seems that something like a "psi-thermal connector" is bit outside the scope of what Xia usually would produce, and is an awfully random thing to bring up in regular conversation.
