OOC: So, you're saying that "Marionette" isn't even using his power in the right place?
IC: "Marionette", frustrated, uses his power over iron to sense for metal, and finds Svin's REAL location.. Ouch, Svin's armor begins to grow very uncomfortable.
IC: These senses are overridden by the Toa of Psionics. Because of her concentration on the illusion, the searing pain begins to fade.
"I know that you respect power..."
The iron sense is not overriden, and thus, Svin is continually attacked by armor folding inwards
OOC: Incorrect. Psionics toa do not fool people's senses by manipulating the environment (well, obviously), they fool a being's senses by tricking their mind. The only way out of an illusion is if you notice inaccuracies, fail to believe the world around you, or you have a Rode. Only the Olisi can create a flawless reality to trap someone in, so all other illusions are noticeable to some degree. Once you know something is an illusion, you can chose not to believe it and even walk through a "stone wall" if you have the willpower to deny your senses (just like Lewa did before they fought the Bahrag).

Mental shielding may also protect against this type of illusion, as it is not vision based like the Mahiki.

I'd assume that Svin would have to notice "Ohey, he's using his iron sense", which is tied more to his element than mind, which would take a moment to fix, he'd notice that

Also, he'd still use his element to iron shred
Iron sense is tied to the element, but nothing is any good without the mind processing it all. Svin is overriding that processing of his senses, thus his own desire to focus on one instead of another will not effect how he processes the information.
No illusion is flawless, however. I'm assuming that by saying he used, "iron shread" you mean he noticed a glitch in the illusion and decided to use his powers to obliterate everything within a given radius. If this is not what you mean, too bad. =P
IC: Sensing his train of thought and the collapse of faith in her illusion, Svin propels herself backwards and out of his reasonable reach. What sort of madman would lash out at a kikanalo just to squash a fireflyer? The civilians, slaves, and building are her shields, crafted out of both Marionette's morality and fear of drawing unwanted attention. "Am I your equal yet, or shall we continue our dance?"
The Steltian clan leader aims what looks like a Rhotuka launcher at the creature and fires a razor sharp metal spinner at her.
The being disappears, only to reappear once the Rhotuka hits something else.
The spinner slices into the floor, going half way through before stopping. The Steltian actives his launcher once again and it calls the spinner back with a strong pull, with it going to smash through the creature's back to return.

OOC: While I don't believe Rhotuka work like that ;P
IC: The being simply doesn't reform until it returns to the steltian.

It's close enough to what I mean ;P
IC: She is too late, and suffers from her entire arm folding inwards. She also finds a disturbing lack of both morality and fear. He does not respond, seemingly not hearing her.

OOC: @tlr, I was asking because, "Euriik," --my Avohkah-- is on a spree. He doesn't like matoran or toa.

OOC: Mind reading is helpful. I was using it, so-
IC: Not sensing morality or Fear in his process only gives her the reason to get out of range even sooner, allowing Marionette's crumple wave to strike his matoran, his building, his puppets, and civilians nearby. Unfortunately for her, she had to pull 8 Gs in order to be safe. It is her bionic structure combined with her will power that take responsibility for keeping her awake.
"Home field disadvantage! Your powers are too destructive!"
Straining to pour her attention into the mind of her opponent, Svin simulates the horrific pain of a paralyzing Vohtorak spinner. No soul has ever resisted such suffering.
OOC2: Just to be clear, we worked out earlier that in order for Marionette to hope of getting Svin accurately, he'd have to send out an omnidirectional pulse, as he had no reliable way of telling where she was. We can change this if you want, saying that he fired off a blast where he thought she could be, but Svin's mind reading would still allow her to avoid that location.

OOC: You overestimate Svin's prowess, and underestimate "Marionette"'s prowess. By the time she both read his mind and managed to move out of range, at least a half of her body would be crumpled, I'm being nice and saying only a single limb.
IC: While clearly pained, he cackles, taking a vicious pleasure in the agony, his eyes glowing bright red. He instantly reverts the damage done to his matoran, building and puppets. Anything not the size of a building, or a matoran is unverted. It still leaves quite a few parts of his house crumpled, but still.
OOC: Indeed, an omnidirectional works best. I still don't think Svin could dodge it. Also, your character is taking zero damage, while mine is apparently being flooded with it.

OOC: Over and under estimation goes both ways in this style of RP. I am fine with Svin suffering the loss of her legs. I will ask you to consider this; Marionette has his senses informing him of a false reality (thus he must deny all of his senses and act on what he himself believes. This is no small feat, but it is possible), he is suffering the pain of a Vohtorak Spinner (in canon, it literally makes it impossible for the target to focus on anything else but their suffering), and now he's putting his attention on carefully reconstructing delicate machines and people.
IC: Marionette's pain intensifies, almost double what it was before, on top of it he feels the pain of Svin's injury. The Toa of Psionics is not only pouring the simulated pain of a Vohtorak Spinner into her opponent, but she is also letting her suffering flow through her mind to fill Marionette's. This agony is far too much for any being to handle, even having great potential to steal the concentration of a Makuta.
"Can you still hear me?"
She uses mind control to prevent any rebellious outbursts.
OOC: I've used illusion for the first half of the battle, then I used simple telekinesis to avoid an unguided wave. Marionette is mentally unshielded, so of course his mind is going to be effected. Psychic types are the overall best.
