I should think this Brotherhood would have different reasons for rebelling that the core universe one.
In the original RP, it was generally agreed that the same canon events occurred but non-canon characters filled the places that canon characters would have -- the Barraki, for example. Back then, we had established more or less exactly what character fit what role, but with the much smaller RPC population that's no longer feasible. What I can say is that in this RP, Inharax will fill the positions of Chirox (having created the Visorak), Mutran (being completely unstable), and potentially Teridax/Miserix (being the original leader and theoretically retaining that position after the Convocation).
Perhaps when Mata Nui is smashed/incapacitated and the Barraki are released I could add a few characters to fill the roles of a few or all the Barraki.
Also, I was planning on letting Ornirax develop the virus to defeat Mata Nui.

I don't think we should have Barraki in this roleplay unless somebody REALLY wants to roleplay as a member of those species XD
hm... I hadn't really thought about the exact number before... I'd say maybe 20 or 30? I don't think there was ever a ton of the Makuta species to begin with, so I probably shouldn't be killing off too many of them. The real bulk of their army was mostly rahi.
I wrote that thinking we would stick to the canon number of 100 Makuta, but Mrcqm has since said we could scrap that. So now it doesn't really matter - although, having a large amount of Makuta killed in that battle could easily explain the fact that the Brotherhood only has eight members currently XD
That battle would have occurred post-rebellion though. And we're not at that point yet XD
wait until my Hagah are hired, and then we'll talk
Making this character to fill the role of Helryx for this roleplay, I guess.
Name: Nalhaa Species: Toa Element: Psionics Kanohi: Elda Weapons/tools: A long staff, similar to Jalix's, and a dagger. Appearance: She has a blue Kanohi, and blue armor on her arms and legs. Her chest plate, however, is gold. Personality: Nalhaa is very caring toward others, but is also very tactically inclined. She is considered by the other members of the Order to be a genius when it comes to strategy. Backstory: Nalhaa was created by a Great Being, and was never a Matoran. She discovered the island of Daxia hundreds of years ago, and is the leader of the Order of Mata Nui based there. Her agents go on missions across the universe to ensure the wellbeing of the Great Spirit, and to recruit new members. However, she rarely leaves the island herself.
The last thing we need are characters that are created just to fill canon roles. Only make a char if you're really feelin' it

Well then I guess Mata Nui only created seven Makuta in this universe Or, we could say that only the Makuta leaders are invited to meetings, and there are a number of Makuta warrior NPCs.

{Spoiler}{JAMMERS! -Mrcqm- ONLY!} My plan for Kael is for him to become a member of the Order of Mata Nui. When I realized that he can't find Daxia on his own, I also realized the Order should have a leader, so I thought up Nalhaa. You can feel free to have Kratark smash her or something once she serves her purpose
I'm pretty sure there's not a lot with Matoran-level intellegence. They basically consist of Keetongu and Krahka, neither of which have been confirmed to be a mass species (Keetongu might have, idk, but his legendary status among Matoran probably says otherwise). It's fairly plausable for Mevrick to exist, at least on some level.
Visorak are sentient, and those two species used to have large populations before they were wiped out.
"Sentient" does not mean "Matoran-level intellegence". The Visorak never spoke and were easily controled by the Brotherhood.

Incorrect. The Visorak spoke their own language and the Oohnorak were capable of using their mimicry powers to copy another's voice and speak Matoran. The Visorak were also not easily controlled by the Brotherhood -- they only came to be subservient to the Brotherhood after Gorast conquered the Horde by force.

So, as Voidarix is currently fairly generic without his axes, I thought I'd give him his own unique powers until he does turn. Name: Voidarix Species: Makuta Appearance: Same Powers: He still wears the same mask, but tends to utilize it quite differently. He has much more control over it, and can morph through weapons quite seamlessly. While he's inept at Rahi Creation, he excels at combat: he has quite possibly some of the best hand-to-hand combat of any Makuta, and can read an opponent skillfully enough to usually predict their next move milliseconds before it happens. He can manifest his shadows into intangible illusions of himself, completely identical to himself.
Though he doesn't have his iconic axes, he has a few go-to weapons he usually reverts to: Twin broadswords: his preferred method of close-quarters combat. Staff of repulsion: Has the ability to redirect incoming energy towards where he's pointing it.

Name: Toxica
Alias: Mistress of the Acid Falls, Queen of the Poison Swamps, Makuta of the Tren Krom Peninsula and Xia
Species: Makuta
Element: Shadow
Powers: Toxica has all standard Makuta powers. She is proficient in utilizing Accuracy, Dodge, Teleportation, Sleep, Confusion, Illusion and predominantly, Poison.
Kanohi: Toxica wears the Calix, Mask of Fate, with her secondary kanohi being the Jutlin, Mask of Decomposition
Weapons/tools: Toxica uses a pair of swords, which are attached to her wrists. She also has guns, attached to her wrists, as well as a pair of shields. Fun little wrist-collars they are!
Appearance: Toxica is tall, roughly the same height as Axonn. She has a black and green, light/lime/acid green color scheme. Upon her back are three cannisters of toxic material, marked with the toxic sigil. She has tubes from these cannisters feeding into her guns, which shoot the toxins out. Her kanohi all look like a Crast, except black and lime green.
Personality: Warrior. Toxica is cunning, sly, devious and manipulative. She can think of plans, but she's quick-tempered, impatient, impulsive and violent. She'd much rather be out on the frontlines of a battle, than sitting in a chamber making plans. She has a fondness for plague bearing rahi, as well as Visorak. She's not the most beloved of Makuta, and regularly disliked, but many do not directly oppose her.
Special Power: Toxica's special ability is her control over toxins and poisons. Unfathomably powerful, Toxica can create/control/absorb poisons and chemicals with ease, due to it being her expertise.
Backstory: Rash, ignorant and volatile, Toxica was once a serpentine horror unlike any other Makuta known. Her very presence corroded the ground and caused it to decay, earning her the monikor "Toxica" by her "twin" of sorts, Jellica. Indeed, the twins were made far after the rest of the Makuta, pooling out of the Antidermis Pool, and horribly disfigured. Toxica went on to challenge many others, learning her passion for toxins, which was her inherent talent. She has, ever since, rose through the ranks of the Brotherhood, becoming a first choice for brawls. Her perhaps, greatest failure, was the attack on the Poison Swamps. Hearing rumors of a lost artifact, created by the Great Beings, hidden within the swamps, Toxica single-handedly brought down the large force of rahi and Toa present. Marching forward into the swamp, Toxica was attacked by a foe unlike any she had ever met, and was forced to rethink her tactics. Instead of charging in, Toxica sent in rahi waves, while preparing some of her more dangerous poisons, which, she fired in one single, toxic bullet. It hit the creature directly, killing it. Unopposed, Toxica went into the temple, only to find it having a useless pair of swords. She has used them ever since, not aware of their secret properties. After conquering said swamp, she stole the Heart of the Visorak, to summon the entire species. Alone. In a bloodlust, Toxica conquered the entire horde, making them her personal servants, to further the cause of the Brotherhood.

Canon Equivalent: Gorast
OH GOSH IT'S HER HIM!
*hides in a corner*
*comes out, and peeks at the profile* ahem. I guess I have to review this, being the rep and all
1. The first two locations you've mentioned don't exist, and don't have a point in existing
2. Where exactly does it state that Makuta have a special power, unique to them?
3. The attack on 'the swamps' as you say will not have happened until the Makuta rebel, which they haven't yet.

YJF, I am only going to say this once:
behave
Glad to know I'm still feared
1. Meh, they are more backstory locations. I really want to have a scene where Toxica boasts, and someone goes "Where the heck are those?" Also, the Acid Falls do exist, Gorast boasted about them. "Gorast. Makuta of the Tren Krom Peninsula, mistress of the acid falls, conqueror of the Visorak horde – and you are Gali Nuva, Toa of Raindrops." Besides, the Poison Swamps could literally just be any regular swamp, which certainly exist, and then are proceeded to be poisoned by Toxica.
2. It's like, always been a core concept in the RP. How else do you think half my Makuta have their potency? Be happy I'm trying to limit my RPCs here XD
3. Grugh. Meh, it should be fun XD
"Behave". Meh, this is an reboot, so it's not like I have any precedence over you. Or vice verse. Clean Slate?

1. Oh yes, I stand corrected. The Tren Krom peninsula is indeed home to some strange terrain. I won't argue this further
2. In other words, it's not stated anywhere. I'm sorry YJF, but I am a BIONICLE constructionist unless it is either stated by Greg or on Biosector, I won't budge on this issue
3. Yup! Living out the backstories was the intention of setting the timeline before the Makuta's rebellion.
Agreed. With the exception of the fact that all of my RPCs will be very scared when they're around yours
