Soon after Lycor returned to the city, his mother arrives as well, meeting with Lycan in private.
Lyn: “What’s this about Lycan, trying to start another war with a fellow tribe of Chima, while we face threats like the Elemental imbalance and the foreign invaders?!”
Lycan: “These ‘foreign invaders’ you speak of have not actually attacked us at all. In fact, it seems that the young man impersonating King Erdrik is trying to convince us to attack them, through fear tactics.”
Lyn: “Isn’t that what you’re doing with the Forgotten?”
Lycan: “The Forgotten aren’t a tribe, sister. They’re a militia of criminals from various tribes, with a dangerously inconsistent ideology, constantly spying on every tribe around them. They have refused alliances with any tribe, as we saw at the Tribal Summit, unless the leader of that tribe is a member of the Forgotten, and the only reason Rica is leading the Ravens again is because she overthrew Radnar with the help of my son.”
Lyn: “I understand your reasoning, but this is the worst time to start a war. Like I said, with the Elemental imbalance slowly eating away at the world—”
Lycan: “The search for the Fire Wing Harnesses is a... complex and delicate matter. Ask Lycor about it later. He’ll explain. Anyhow, I’m the one who should be upset at you, Lyn. Stopping a battle from starting between the Forgotten and us in the Croc Swamp put a massive dent in my plans to declare war on the Forgotten.”
Lyn: “You we’re going to use that as an excuse to start a war?”
Lycan: “Not as an excuse, as a legitimate reason, in addition to Freeman’s liberation of our prisoner, Scorm.”
Lyn: “Why did you capture him in the first place?”
Lycan: “As I already explained, to learn how he became immortal, and thus create an immortal Lion King to fix our problem of constantly disappearing kings. But when it became clear that Scorm himself had no idea how he became that way, I figured I could still get use out of him, by allowing Freeman to break him out; such a crime would give me a valid reason in the eyes of the populace to declare war on them.”
Lyn: “Such a manipulative—”
Lycan: “Yet justified plan. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve another matter to attend to.”

OOC: More like Light Chaos or Light Law. Well, it depends.
The Lion Air Force and Lion Fleet leave the city, with Supreme Regent Lycan and Field Marshal Lycor leading the charge. Chief Advisors Lyn and Leon manage the HQ in the meantime.
Now, the Lion forces return to the HQ, battered and leaderless. In the throne/meeting room, Lyn and Leon are distraught to hear about the apparent loss of both Lycan and Lycor, unaware that the latter has just been dropped off outside the city by a Wing Striker. As the two Chief Advisors and the rest of the Elders discuss what is to be done about a leader, Lycor suddenly opens the huge double doors to the room, in a display reminiscent of that one Aragorn scene in LOTR.
Lyn: “Lycor! You’re alive!”
Lycor: “I am, but we need to keep that secret from the Eagles for the time being.”
Lycan: “What do you mean?”
Lycor: “I’ll explain what happened on the Phoenix Islands, but I’ll save it for the announcement. Now... you were discussing who to select as the new king?”
Bells and trumpets ring out upon the mountain behind the city. A massive crowd of citizens, several thousand strong, gathers on the plain before the city gates. There, by the power of Golden Chi, seats rise out of the earth for all who are present.
Atop the Lion Stairway, a throne is set and the Council of Elders are gathered. As one, all the horns and trumpets sound their notes, signally silence. The sedentary crowds rise together, as a figure emerges from the forest. Clothed in a white robe, Lavuras slowly walks o’er the plain and down the aisle between the seats. Straight-back and head held high, he ascends the Lion Stairway.
Kneeling before the throne, he bows his head as the Chief Elder moves forwards and speaks in voice that is old yet strong, hoarse yet proud.
“Lavuras of the Line of Lavarn, Second Prince of the Lion Kingdom, do you pledge your life to the service of your people?”
“I do.”
“Do you solemnly swear before Mount Cavora that you will uphold the doctrines and traditions of the Lion Tribe, enforcing our laws and sharing the Chi with all?”
“I do.”
“From this day onward, will you impartially govern and protect the Lion Kingdom and assist the other tribes, settling their disputes, clarifying the laws of the land and defending us from threats, be the, from within or without?”
“I do.”
“Then, by the powers vested in me, I do crown you Lavuras, the first of your name, King of the Lions, Guardian of Cavora and Protector of Chima.”
The elder opens up a golden box, taking from it the Ancient Crown of the Lions and a single orb of Golden Chi. He then nods to the others.
One places a red cloak about Lavuras’ neck, one a ring upon his finger, one a sceptre in his hand. The first elder then removes an older orb from atop the gold, which crumbles to dust, and inserts the new one. The crown twists and transforms, the decoration shifting to show the crest of the new Royal Dynasty and the shape to better fit Lavuras’ head. As the final changes solidify, the crown is placed upon the new monarch’s head.
“Arise, King Lavuras!”
OOC: Shamrock Is Lavuras going to return as King now that you’re back? If not, then:
OOIC: Lycor is now coronated in the same way as above.

For that reason, I think Lavuras had better stay vanished; I don't want multiple tribes paralysed by me being inactive.
OOC: Oh, okay.
IC: After Lycor’s coronation, he goes to the war planning room.
New post:
King Lycor makes a public announcement to the tribes of Chima.
Lycor: “To all citizens of Chima. I am Lycor, new King of the Lions. I was appointed this title after my uncle, acting regent Lycan, was felled by the hand of the Eagle King himself, while trying to defend the Phoenix Islands from the Eagles and their allies. While King ‘Erdrik’ claimed that this was simply to overthrow Empress Fiona and reinstate their ‘true’ leader, in truth, Erdrik simply used this opportunity to conquer the Phoenix, in order to add them to his new alliance, Primordium.”
“Said alliance is currently comprised of the Eagles, Wolves, Phoenix, and Crocodiles, and exists not to defend Chima from the Manta Ray Empire, as Erdrik claims, but to launch an attack on the Rays, sparking a war between us and them where there otherwise wouldn’t have been one. Indeed, the one time a Manta scout ship discovered the existence of our civilization, it was destroyed by the Bat Fleet before it could report back. The Bats have been building their defense, staying neutral toward the wars in Chima, and prohibiting sea travel beyond New Bat Island ever since. Thus, the Bats are, in fact, the ones who are truly focused on protecting Chima from any potential western invasion.”
“So, you may ask, why does King Erdrik want us, the tribes of Chima, to expend resources and lives on a massive, unnecessary war? Because, as I found out while battling him in the Phoenix Temple, that he is NOT the late Eagle King Erdrik, but rather a young man who’s a cross between an eagle and a lion, using Erdrik’s battle mask and the Phoenix armor one gets by plugging fire chi to cover his lion features, and deceive us. If you demand proof of my claims, you need only rip the mask off of the liar’s face, and that’s exactly what I intend to do.”
“In other words, let this be a declaration of war, from the Chima Alliance to Primordium; a hopefully short war, with the goal of capturing Galvanor, exposing his true face to anyone who isn’t yet convinced, and stopping Primordium from attacking the Manta Ray Empire and exposing our existence to them. That is all.”
OOC: TheFirstDecadebatonmaster500Shamrock @guru(?) Yeah, I’m fighting myself again. I kinda had to, since it’s just the 5 (4?) of us here, and nothing was really happening for a while, outside of the battle at the Phoenix HQ. Hopefully though, like with that battle, this’ll still be fun, with us having characters on each side, and the Ice Hunters and Unichi still being prominent factions.

Before we begin, could ypou give me a summary of what's happened since I went inactive? It sounds like the situation in Chim is very different to how it was before.

Excerpt of the Complete Timeline, from what I believe had been the time of your last IC post, onward:
• After finding out about the lengths the Sabertoothes would go to destroy the Lions, as well as Senix's true identity and plan, Malgus has Malgus II steal a golden chi orb from the Lions; Malgus rallies a sizable portion of the Mammoth Tribe under his leadership, and uses the golden chi orb to reconstruct The Purple City; Malgus finds and revives Galvanor; the lost Saban is captured by lions in the Great Forest, and given fire chi, which cures him of his zombie state and robs him of his ice powers; Saban is imprisoned in Saber Mountain by Sabradia to keep the revelation a secret, but is broken out by Senix; the Arachnid Alliance* forces are driven back from the Valley of Balance, and the Empire and Tigers hold a banquet in the Golden City to celebrate their victories thus far against the Ice Hunters and Arachnids; the Empire of Balance expands its territory, and Senix attacks the Purple City with the icebears who'd been left on Bat Island, eventually conquering the city and driving out the Mammoths.
• Iroquois continues his attack on Crystal Crater with the majority of the Icebears; in Spider territory, Skaulus and Stannis Rax find Scorpia and Scorpio, and confront Scrin, who “removes” Scorpia from her seat of power within the Forgotten, and subsequently escapes; beneath the Outland Mountains, Unichi and Fire Tribe forces continue pursuing the Sabertoothes through the tunnels; Griggs and Sheckley forward a message of help from the Gorillas (which the Forgotten intercept, and join the battle); the allied forces attack Black Fang Mountain, which had been frozen by the Icebears and claimed as a base by the Sabertoothes.
*Alliance between the Spider and Scorpion tribes; a major faction at the time, but now defunct.
• On the Phoenix Islands, the vulture "exile" Viona politically takes over leadership of the Phoenix, whose current Emperor* disappeared; Malgus II reveals Senix' identity as Tenebrae to the Tigers, requesting their assistance in attacking the Purple City and defeating Senix; Forgotten, Mammoth, and Tiger forces temporarily ally to attack the Icebears in the Purple City, while Malgus enlists Lyrix to steal The Artifact** from Saber Mountain; Lyrix fails and is transformed into an Ice Hunter, but still obtains the exact location of the Fire Wing Harness that Senix had destroyed; the Tigers and Mammoths defeat Senix and extract him from the Purple City.
• Iroquois and his Icebears win the battle for Crystal Crater, and the Scorpions retreat; to get revenge on the icebears in general, the scorpions from Crystal Crater bomb the Purple City, destroying the city and all the icebears within; Titus and Malgus II debate on what to do with the captured Tenebrae/Senix, while the Forgotten try to take Senix themselves for unknown reasons; the Forgotten also defeat the Sabertoothes in Southernfell***, claiming the region as a headquarters location; Senix is rescued from the Tigers and Mammoths by his remaining Icebears.
• Scorm is transported to Scorm City's castle by Scrin, and attempts to retake control of the Scorpion Tribe, easily usurping Scorpio, who is rescued by a spy from the Republic of the Claw before he can be [vibe checked] by his father; Scrin arrives in Scorm City's castle as well, reprimanding Scorm, but is unwittingly followed by Scordon Freeman; a spider within the castle contacts Skaulus and Stannis Rax about these events.
*Set-Ra, Guru’s character.
**A reference to the TV series, this time an icy map belonging to the Hunters.
***Region between the Bear and Croc HQs on the map, formerly called the “unclaimed land”.
• Skaulus Rax leads the Arachnid Alliance armies into the Iron Mountains, to gain more territory and continue his war with the Empire of Balance; after claiming some of the Empire's mountain territory and being contacted about the events in Scorm City, Skaulus takes part of the Spider Army to Scorm City, to [vibe check] Scorm and Scrin before the Scorpions find out about their presence; as soon as the Spiders arrive in the throne room, Scordon Freeman attacks Scrin, and the two of them, while fighting, fall into a portal to an unknown dimension; Skaulus Rax captures Scorm, who fell unconscious, and discreetly orders his Spiders to [vibe check] all scorpions who knew about Scorm's return, due to their revived king's desire to terminate the Arachnid Alliance; Spalyx Vance rescues Scorm, and temporarily takes charge of the Forgotten because of Scrin's disappearance; meanwhile, Seris Rax declares Scordon Island an independent nation for the same reason.
• Unichi forces continue their invasion of the Outlands in order to get into Black Fang Mountain, while Skaulus and Stannis Rax initiate another battle with the Empire of Balance, in the Grassy Plains; it is a trap set for Leodus, who is seemingly fatally wounded during the battle; Skaulus expands the Arachnid Alliance's territory into the Northern Outland Mountains, where Malgus and Lyrix hunt for the Fire Wing Harness Senix destroyed; Senix and Lycor pursue Malgus and Lyrix, forming a temporary alliance in the process; Skaulus attacks Senix, Lycor, Malgus, and Lyrix when he sees them fighting in the Northern Outland Mountains; Leodus' temporarily disembodied spirit tells Lycor about Senix's true identity and plan; Lycor [vibe checks] Senix, and tracks Lyrix, while Malgus reforges the Fire Wing Harness to fit himself, gaining both fire and ice powers and becoming the Elemental Wizard; Malgus [vibe checks] Skaulus for his interference, and returns to the Mammoths, to plan their revenge on the Phoenix.

3/?
After learning about his father's [vibe check], Stannis Rax becomes the Spider King; Scorponok intercepts and attacks Lycor in the Northern Outland Mountains to avenge Scorpix; Lycor blinds Scorponok but leaves him alive, and pursues Lyrix back into the south; after learning that their spy within the Scorpion Tribe was [vibe checked] by the Spiders, Craunus Maximus and Calloran Fen have the Republic of the Claw join the rest of Unichi in their invasion of the Outlands; the Republic of the Claw drives Scorpio and the returned Scorpia out of Scorm City, taking over the Scorpion Tribe; much of the Outlands are conquered by Unichi.
Lion Elder Lycan, the father of Lyrix, becomes the temporary Supreme Regent of the Lion Tribe after King Lavuras' disappearance, and appoints Lyndis and Leon, the parents of Lycor, as his chief advisors; Lycan builds up the Lion Tribe's military, wary of the Ice Hunters and the surrounding tribes that aren't part of the Chima Alliance; Lycan sends Lion reinforcements to the Minor Tribes HQ, to help their allies defend against the Sabertoothes; enlisting the temporary help of Lyrix, Rica has the ice lion freeze Radnar, who'd refused to join the war; Rica retakes control of the Raven Tribe, declares the creation of the new Razarian Monarchy, and takes the Raven forces to Minor Tribes territory; the Sabertoothes attacking the Minor Tribes HQ are pushed into retreat by the combined forces of the Minor Tribes, Lions, and Ravens, and the Ravens manage to capture some sabertoothes.
Scordon Freeman, Scorpio, and Scorpia are captured by Scorm and the scorpions who bombed the Purple City; a Republic spy within this group contacts Craunus Maximus, who sends Scorpion forces to Scorm's small base in the Northern Outland Mountains, to capture the former King; Spalyx Vance tells Lycan about Scorm, and Lycan, considering Scorm a criminal who should be returned to the Lions, sends the rebuilt Lion Air Force to capture him; Spalyx rescues Scordon, Scorpia and Scorpio escape alone, and the Scorpions defeat Scorm's faction, but the Lions capture Scorm (as well as making his resurrection public at Spalyx's request), causing a dispute between the Lion and Scorpion tribes; Craunus Maximus and Scordon Freeman go to the Lion City to discuss the custody of Scorm with Lycan, but after stating his reasoning for capturing Scorm*, Lycan explains why he won't hand over the prisoner; the scorpions leave, but Scordon returns and infiltrates the dungeons where Scorm is being held; Scordon easily breaks Scorm out, unknowing that this was part of Lycan's new plan.
In the Spider Caverns, Stannis Rax meets with Speli Vance, who reveals that he, too, had been reanimated by Scrin, and the two discuss an alliance between the Spiders and Forgotten; posing as the late Eagle King Erdrik, Galvanor takes control of the Eagle Tribe, declaring war on both the Ice Hunters [at the time] and the Manta Ray Empire; he's visited by Edessa Cubbage and Eris, representing the Forgotten Eagle Sect; the Sabertooth Tribe's infighting (resulting from Sabradia's recent disappearance) is quelled by Fatalis**, who reunites and conquers the tribe, soon before Saban returns to Saber Mountain.
*Lycan wanted to learn how Scorm was revived and made immortal, so that a lion could be selected to be made an immortal king, solving the Lion Tribe's issue of frequently shifting leadership. After it was made clear that Scorm had no idea how he came to be this way, Lycan figured he could still use the former Scorpion King, allowing the Forgotten to break him out of Lion HQ...
**@drakecahill13's character, before he went inactive again.
Continuing to act as Erdrik, Galvanor sends out eagle messengers to all major factions, even the Ice Tribes, proposing a Tribal Summit to discuss the state of affairs; Lycor fails to capture Lyrix, who is taken by Malgus to be reverted back to his original form; the Elemental Wizard attempts to take and "purify" the transformed Tristram* as well, but the former Tiger King refuses, and a fight ensues between them in the Valley of Balance; "Erdrik" heads to New Bat Island, to confirm if the Bats know about the Manta Ray Empire; in Southernfell, Badrian Shepard [seemingly] proposes a takeover of the Croc Swamp by the Forgotten and remaining crocs, who'd sent him a message to request this, soon before Scordon returns to the region with Scorm in tow; Scorpia and Scorpio return to Scorm City and are let in by Praetor Scarabus, who reveals to them the full story of Scorpix and the Republic of the Claw; Scorm himself, having escaped from the Forgotten, then arrives at Scorm City, and Praetor Sirius meets with him, hoping to reach a truce between the now-democratic Scorpion Tribe and the former king.
Vultures and Leopards arrive on the Phoenix Islands to see how Viona has been leading the Phoenix, and declare the tribe part of the Empire of Balance**, but Viona, having undergone a change, objects to this; the Tribal Summit invitations are received by every tribe, as "Erdrik" briefly meets with Bliston on New Bat Island, discussing the Manta Ray Empire; the Vultures, now having confirmed, thanks to Viona, that being "purified" by fire chi can sometimes brainwash an Ice Hunter into thinking they're a phoenix, elect not to use fire chi to lift their curse.
*TheFirstDecade had transformed his tiger character into a "panther" at the time.
**While Viona was eventually retconned to be part of the Vulture Special Intelligence network of spies, her takeover of the Phoenix had not been planned by the Vultures, but Vamprah figured he could work with the situation.
