The Shire

Welcome to the Shire!

A plentiful, green land, the Shire is the home of the Hobbits. Although at one time it belonged to the Arthedain kingdom, it was given to the Hobbits, who settled there and prospered, continuing on even after Arthedain had fallen. Due to the nature of Hobbits, agriculture was easily the most common use of land in the Shire.

For the RP, the Shire borders S. Ered Luin and the Grey Havens to the west, and Evendim to the north. Across the Brandywine Bridge, to the west lay Bree and the Old Forest. Across Sarn Ford, to the south and west, lay Minhiriath and Cardolan. This region provides 1,000 MWE and 100 SME for claiming.
