Honestly, if the first Thor movie is considered weak by current MCU standards, then I'm out-of-my-mind excited for the "good" ones.
As for Infinity War, well lets just say you will get a bit emotional... It is an excellent film though.
I didn't doubt that it would be epic and emotional and pretty much everything else, from what I've heard it's absolutely mind-blowing. I've managed to avoid spoilers for now, though.

THE AVENGERS!!!!!!!!
It was brickin' awesome! Not sure how it compares to Thor, but as I watch more and more I'm not gonna bother to rank them all anymore. But The Avengers brought the gang together in an awesome way, giving each member their due focus and keeping them all relevant and true to their characters while also making the team aspect work brilliantly. It also has by far the best soundtrack thanks to Alan Silvestri and his epic theme, which has been stuck in my head for over 24 hours at this point. (I am listening to Star Wars music now, though, so that could change.)
I don't really need to say anything else, it was great and I loved it. I started to feel like there was too much talking and not enough action toward the middle, but none of the scenes were dull in themselves and it was most likely due to my lack of sleep while camping the weekend before that I got tired. Despite that, I didn't feel tired at all during any of the action. My adrenaline kept me awake with no problem during that awesomeness.
I was just trying to be honest and confess the slight negative feelings I felt at one point, but I don't think it lasted more than 5 minutes anyway. This movie was absolutely great and I'm sure I will rewatch it many times in the future. Looking forward to Phase 2!!!
Okay, so I have a little question for all you people who have seen all the MCU films (at least up to Guardians 2). I know that chronologically Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 takes place directly after the first GotG. So I planned to watch Vol. 2 directly after Vol. 1.
But then I realized that it's possible the after-credits scene(s) could spoil a movie or movies that came out between the two Guardians ones. So will someone please tell me in as simple terms as possibly possible (just yes or no) whether or not this is true?
Will anything shown after the credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 spoil one or more of the following films?

In Vol. 2 an after-credits scene contains minor spoilers for Civil War. Rest are fine.

I was afraid if any would be spoiled, that would be it. Will I be able to infer something specific that happens without having seen CW yet?

It is! Glad you have managed to avoid spoilers though...

In the UK this film is called Avengers Assemble. Not sure why though...

Just a more specific name, I guess. "The Avengers" can be used to refer to the group, the movie, or the series as a whole.
