I'll be the one to revive this again...........'arry Potter!
By the way, if you see my last post here, I made it about me not being allowed to read/watch anything Potter related. But then, for Christmas I got the books from my parents! I read 'em all in a few months and I watched the first movie for my B-day.
So, fellow Potterheads, let us revive this topic!!!
So something I had on my mind, what if they reboot the movies? I want it and don't want it at the same time. And, I mean, would they use the same music? The original music is great, but when you think about it that doesn't seem like something they would do. If they do reboot them, though, we need MORE DOBBY!And an actor for Dumbledore with no real health concerns so that they have to replace him with someone who hasn't even read the books!!! Phew, sorry.

If they were to reboot the series I would want a live-action show rather than another set of movies. That way they could really explore the stories further and include more Dobby among other things. The movies are good enough that they don't really need to, though.
On the subject of music, I honestly wouldn't mind a more consistent score across the whole series, but I also wouldn't want to do away with Williams's themes. At the very least keep Hedwig's Theme and build a new score around it for the series. Oh, and Gilderoy Lockhart's theme, that one was absolute perfection.

Yeah, maybe they could do a Netflix series or something, if they decided to reboot them.
Yeah, Hedwig's theme and GL's theme are great. Maybe if they do keep them, though, they could at least change some of the instruments used, because as good as the old music is it's (insert Lockhart clip) pretty obvious they can't make them exactly the same.

Well, I assume they would re-record them for the show, and rearrange them into the score to fit into whatever's happening on screen. But as long as the copyright stays with Warner Bros./WaterTower Music I'm pretty sure they can use it without any legal issues. Just like how Hedwig's Theme has been used in every Wizarding World movie even though John Williams stopped scoring them, they just have to put "'Hedwig's Theme' by John Williams" in the credits.
