A frigid region in the north-west of Middle-Earth, Forochel is the name of a great ice-bay, and the regions surrounding it. It is the home of the Lossoth, a primitive but hardy people who were mentioned in Appendix A. It is also the resting place of Arvedui, last King of Arthedain, who perished in the bay when his ship went down.
In the RP, Forochel borders N. Ered Luin, Evendim, and the North Downs to the south, and Forodwaith to the east. It also borders the Open Sea to the east. It provides the standard 1,000 MWE for claiming, and, as a coastal region, also provides 100 free NWE.
