Why do you call a liquid gas? Australians usual say fuel as a general term. Petrol, diesel and gas are all types of fuel. Gas is known as LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). We call the parking lot a car park and the trunk/rear storage compartment of a car is called a boot. Still, the liquid gas thing is confusing. How do you tell the difference between actual gas and gasoline? No one uses the term gasoline here.
We just use gas as short for gasoline. When we're talking about cars, that is. When we're talking about the three states of matter, we still say gas. It really just depends on the context.

When it was just upside-down, I thought it was a crazy glitch. When I found it like this, I was actually starting to get scared. April Fool's Day normally isn't on my agenda until it actually gets here, because it's still March.
Well, as I said, blame our NZ admin Brim discovered how to do it originally

There is a saying about the USA and the lack of 'u'. "U.S. English doesn't use the 'u' because they don't care about you."
The lack of 'u' in programming languages is very annoying for English speakers. This website is in US English, it's so annoying. Keeps telling me that I'm spelling realise, colour and other words incorrectly.
But putting the u in it is a waste of time.
But it looks better. Neighbour or neighbor. The latter looks funny.
Yes. Your lines of code look fine, only you've used a 'u' in colour. Everything is ruined and you spend an age trying to find what you did wrong. They're trying to indoctrinate us into US English.
I guess you used the cheese emote because it's the only one that doesn't look like . Which is quite funny, actually.
I am. I hadn't read enough of the conversation yet, and I thought you were from the UK when I wrote that post. My bad.
Trunk does make more since then boot though, as at least trunk comes from trunk as a synonym for suitcase, luggage, etc. Boot is wierd.
I suspect it comes from a nickname for 'rear-end'
That wound't surprise me. This is from wikiapedia, so it could be wrong, but apparently "boot" comes from the word for a built-in compartment on a horse-drawn coach. What the USA calls a hood we call a bonnet. Bonnet is quite obvious. My Dad's English, so sometimes I'm caught saying (British) wings instead of (Australian) guards. What's it in the USA, fenders? This is exactly why non-English speakers have such a hard time. We have far too many synonyms.
Wait, I thought you were from the US. Your last post made it seem that way.

Oh, okay.
I totally agree, I think the British should leave our automobile terms alone, because for once, we're the "correct" ones when it comes to cars. We invented them!

I'm definitely glad it didn't stay that way for long. It was very hard to do anything, all I managed to do was send a message to Keplers asking what the brick was going on.
