Good thing my mom is American so I can understand American English perfectly You can't beat me Besides, I talk about parking lots all the time. In fact, I don't know what else you would call it.
Why do you call a liquid gas? Australians usual say fuel as a general term. Petrol, diesel and gas are all types of fuel. Gas is known as LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). We call the parking lot a car park and the trunk/rear storage compartment of a car is called a boot. Still, the liquid gas thing is confusing. How do you tell the difference between actual gas and gasoline? No one uses the term gasoline here.
IDK, I only understand it. I don't speak it I definitely don't say 'gas' when referring to fuel

Well, because it's short for gasoline.

You're spelling "favorite" wrong! It's spelled without the "u" after the "o". JK
There is a saying about the USA and the lack of 'u'. "U.S. English doesn't use the 'u' because they don't care about you."
The lack of 'u' in programming languages is very annoying for English speakers. This website is in US English, it's so annoying. Keeps telling me that I'm spelling realise, colour and other words incorrectly.
Hey, we care. We care a lot. We're huge softies.
That's because way back when when we set out to fix the messed up English spelling, we didn't really fix it or do that good of a job, but we made some progress. Those "u"s weren't really doing anything.
Of course, after reading so much Tolkien I realized I was spelling it Armour instead of Armor. And suddenly I"m not sure how I spell realize. It should be a "z" though, as that is the sound.
When it was just upside-down, I thought it was a crazy glitch. When I found it like this, I was actually starting to get scared. April Fool's Day normally isn't on my agenda until it actually gets here, because it's still March.

We just use gas as short for gasoline. When we're talking about cars, that is. When we're talking about the three states of matter, we still say gas. It really just depends on the context.
Yep. CSS uses 'color' instead of 'colour,' so when I'm doing web development here and programming this website I get all confused D:
Yes. Your lines of code look fine, only you've used a 'u' in colour. Everything is ruined and you spend an age trying to find what you did wrong. They're trying to indoctrinate us into US English.
I guess you used the cheese emote because it's the only one that doesn't look like . Which is quite funny, actually.

Are you talking from a US or UK point of view? I can't remember.
