*Not many casualties are taken* OOC: That's what I thought.
OOC: How do they not take many casualties? Your archers are taking cover behind the parapet without being able to see my troops. Meanwhile my archers are hidden, looking directly at the parapet and preparing to fire. As soon as they stand up to fire, they will already be hit, and my archers will disappear. Unless, of course, you meant your troops are just standing on the ground behind the wall and firing blindly. In that case, ignore my argument.
IC: *The trebuchets fire again, now forming small breaches in the wall.*
OOC: It doesn't take that long to fire a volley of arrows and then get back behind cover again. *The archers fire again*

OOC: The problem is they have to get up and sight their targets before firing. My archers are already sighted and aiming at the parapets, so as soon as they show themselves they don't stand a chance. The only thing they can really do is fire blindly, but that's a waste of arrows.
IC: *As there are no visible targets, the arrows fly harmless into the forest.*
*The trebuchets fire again, widening the breach in the wall.*

*The trebuchets now aim for the parapet and the interior of the fortress, causing further damage.*
*More troops enter, staying away from the enemy for now*
*The army from the VOA arrive, joining with the troops here. They alert them of this new army's presence and send a scouting party of Warders to keep an eye on the enemy.*
*The trebuchets now fire flaming projectiles: boulders covered in pitch, lit, and launched into the fortress. Wooden structures within begin to burn, and the sudden bright light causes confusion among the orcs.*

OOC: Sudden? Who said it was night? *The new army takes a breather while preparing for battle*
{JAMMERS! -Evil!- ONLY!} Silik, I'm looking at how grim things are for you, and I'm thinking to just leap into a final charge for him here. Keep the regions as much as you can, but just charge him here. He'll stay busy enough until you're back and working that he won't be able to damage anything nearby, only at Gondor or The Gap could he make any misheif at all, and he can't help much their anyway.
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.

OOC: Unless the rules have changed, the attacker chooses the time and weather. When I first arrived it was late afternoon. At this point it's well into the night.
*The new arrivals swap with the troops already encamped here. The fresh troops march towards the enemy force, avoiding confrontation for now.*

New troops here amount to 1.7 K Halberds and 1.8 K Swamp Archers. *They form a phlanax and charge at the enemy troops, while the ranged troops prepare to volley*

*The Dae-E-Tawar and Cuan-E-Tawar disappear into the trees, stealthily making their way towards the flanks of the enemy phalanx.*
*The elven archers stay both behind the main force and in the trees above. The swordsmen form a wall while the spearmen grab their longer-reaching pikes. The Maethyr I-Thewair remain behind this formation. As soon as the enemy enters in range, the Silvan archers fire individual shots at will, the Warders carefully pick off the leaders and any archers in sight, and the stealth team fires a volley from their hidden positions before falling back.*
*As this occurs, 80 Scorpions, 150 Swordsmen, 125 Spearmen, 50 Silvan archers, and 50 Dae-E-Tawar move from the siege area west towards the right flank of the enemy.*

*As the majority of the elves are out of their range or well hidden, few losses are taken. Meanwhile, the stealth team quietly makes their way to the enemy archers, spreading out around them until they are surrounded. As the enemy begins to draw for another volley, all the stealth units fire, taking down a large amount of the archers and causing some to accidentally misfire into their own ranks due to the sudden surprise.*
*They soon engage the solid wall of the elves, and the archers pour arrows into the enemy lines, focusing on any enemy trying to flank them.*
*The additional force comes up to the enemy phalanx. The swordsmen and spearmen form a similar wall, but with many gaps in the formation for the Scorpions. The Scorpions and archers all fire into the enemy's right wing, causing heavy losses.*
