I only listen to country and some old rock from my childhood days.
wait a second, I just had a realization... if you liked the kind of music i like now as a kid, am I going to *gasp* like... country music when I'm older!?
JK.
I can't believe I had the same awful signature for nearly 8 years. Sorry for disappearing for 2 months, life happened for a bit.
-Hanson -Imagine Dragons -The Lumineers -Alessia Cara -Grace VanderWaal -The Smashing Pumpkins -Green Day -twenty one pilots -Led Zeppelin -The Beatles
I could continue naming artists I like, if nobody likes any of those.
Hanson is a bit of a guilty pleasure. Mmmbop is still catchy and strong lyric wise unlike a lot of new songs. It's quite shameful that professional songwriters can't string together a decent song, especially when most songs are penned by three of more people.
I know all of those people/bands. Not a big fan of, but I occasionally listen.
-Andrew McMahon In the Wilderness -Bea Miller -David Bowie -Kelsea Ballerini -Michael Jackson -NF -Nirvana -Red Hot Chili Peppers -Sabrina Carpenter -U2
that makes a top 20, and i can name ten more if needed.
Who are your parents? Kidding. Seems like we grew up listening to the same music. I have a very odd taste in music nowadays. It's all over the shot.
Anybody here like country:P? I know it's a long shot, seems like the only other person who was really into it was Molly:(.
Living in a semi-country town, I can't really say no.
Australia's country is generally different from the US'. We have/had Slim Dusty (Waltzing Matilda), Lucky Starr (I've Been Everywhere), some of Paul Kelly's stuff and John Williamson (True Blue, Rip Rip Woodchip, Old Man Emu, Home Among The Gum trees, Goodbye Blinky Bill). I guess you could say Lee Kernaghan is more US style and obviously Keith Urban is too.
Slim Dusty and John Williamson are probably the more popular country/folk singers. Williamson's music is more about the environment and politics. Which is funny 'cause Australian schools have/had this weird thing for singing. We would sing all these country songs, mainly JW. This was like a daily routine.
Currently listening to Green Day. It's like my friend was telling me yesterday, once you discover them, you just can't stop listening to them.
If you like Green Day you may be interested in The Living End. They're an Aussie band that everyone confuses with Green Day. Their older songs like Prisoner of Society, Roll On, West End Riot, All Torn Down and Wake Up are the good ones.
I'm just bothering you. I have some IRL friends who are girls.
I figured:P. I probably should date somebody soon though considering I am 19 and never had a girlfriend. Most of my friends had girlfriends in high school, some even before that:S:P. You going to any concerts this summer?
I have the same issue. Siblings and parents pester me about this all of the time. I try not to worry about "keeping up" with everyone else for the sake of it though.
That's the only song I know by them. Pretty sure it was a cover too:P. Listening to it right now, good times:D!
I know a few. it was an original song.
Just looked it up, 1985 is a song which 2 bands wrote and each released a version of it. Bowling for Soup's was released second. So not technically a cover I guess.

You might! I HATED most country as a kid besides a few songs and TS:P. Now I absolutely LOVE it. I think you might like some country TBH. You like rock, right? If so, try Jason Aldean. He is a VERY rocky country artist!

I LOVE Keith Urban! He's my favorite artist period! I saw him in concert last year, was my first concert ever and the best day of my life! Sadly he's doing a world tour so he won't be in the US this year:(.

Only problem is it's hard to find a single girl when you're 30 or so. It's MUCH easier when you're in high school. Guess I figured that out too late:P. Almost all my girl friends have boyfriends already.
