Ah okay, you should definitely join then! If I ever go back to college I will definitely join an HP club:).
I didn't join the club though. My study area (school) is helping to organise it. One of my lecturers references Harry Potter quite often. I recall him stating that some of us know more than what is healthy. Which is ironic when he mentioned Hermione's SPEW organisation an Elfish rights. He's clearly read the books too.
What is the difference between college and university? Curious.
Um, university and and college are the same thing:S. In the USA we call it college, I guess in other countries they call it university. In the USA we have some colleges called "The University of BLAH" and some called "BLAH College". It's pretty random which are called which, there's no difference.

Don't you have compulsory classes in college? Like English and Mathematics? We don't have those, we just study around our majors and minors.

All colleges in the USA require gen eds if that's what you mean. We are required to take English, Math, and some electives as well as our major and minor classes.

Yeah, we just have a minimum units to gain your major and electives which can be anything really. Though some people like to have dual majors or a major and a minor, this limits your elective choices, but it can broaden your degree. I'm thankful I don't have to take Maths or English, I'm pretty terrible at both. <- Would not have the motivation to do well. You can honestly just pick electives which seem easy.

I want to move to the UK now so I won't have to do college-level math.

I live in Australia, but I suppose our universities are pretty similar. Degrees are cheaper in Australia than the USA. Not sure if foreigners pay more (probably some sort of tax), but you can get most degrees for under 30K Australian dollars. And we don't have a top school thing going on here. They're all pretty much the same. Just some have nicer buildings than others.

Math and English was the reason I dropped out really. I was paying to take these classes I didn't care about and wasn't taking a single class related to my major:S. Speaking of that, I need to find some time to get back to programming again, haven't done it in weeks now:S. I just work too much, and it's gonna get even worse in the summer:S.

Oh, I want to go to Australia, then.
It's expensive to live here. If you have a college fund, it might be worth looking into. They're quite a few people from the USA in my classes. Just don't try to bring your USA laws here, we get very upset and the class will turn against you.

I see what you mean. If you don't mind, how much did that cost you? At least you're keeping yourself busy. Save up for a house, rent it out and repeat. That's what my brothers did. Brother number two only moved out of home at 25, luckily my parents are okay with it. He's doing really well now.

My bro loves Australia, thought about going to college there at one point! He actually has an Australian flag in his bedroom:P.
