Demiu is well-balanced, but his stance is slightly narrower than average.
Corellus takes a step forward, thrusting with his blade, but pulls it back and retreats before it reaches Demiu.
Demiu moves to counter it. He staggers ever so slightly when the sword is withdrawn but regains balance quickly. He pursues Corellus, launching a horizontal slash.
IC: Lexos' fifty men find the Dragon Knights harrying a group of Xain foot soldiers while the Lion Knights and the Xain cavalry are not fighting each other, but staying still.
OOC: Which group of fifty was that? That was the group Lexos went with, right?
OOC: No, I think Lexos went with the 35. but then again, I don't remember.

Demiu turns side-on to Corellus, avoiding the blow. He raises his sword and faints a downwards slash, diverting into a thrust at Corellus' chest.

Corellus barely manages to deflect the thrust, stepping in close to Demiu and following up with a thrust of his own.
Demiu moves, saving his sword arm, but his chest is hit. Depending on the broadness of Corellus' sword tip, it will either penetrate Demiu's chain mail and deliver a cut, or hit the exterior and leave a bruise beneath.
If the sword tip is narrow enough to enter, Demiu twists, briefly catching the general's sword in the mail, and swings the flat of his sword blade at Corellus' wrist.
If it is not, Demiu retreats, trying to move into a position where the sun is behind him, so that the general cannot look at him properly.

The sword tip is narrow. As the blade gets caught, Corellus presses foward, driving his shoulder into Demiu's and continuing to push with his sword. Demiu's blade instead strikes him in the forearm, bruising him but not causing him to drop his sword.
