Lexos grabs hold of something to steady himself, then looked at Albies's pack. Oh, Lexos thought, there it is. Lexos looked at the spilled contents.
Most of the contents appear fairly normal- healing herbs and scrolls- but two things stand out. The first is a shard of metal that appears to once have been part of a sword blade and the second is a scrap of yellowed paper with writing on it in what looks like the large, blocky handwriting of a child.
OOC: Is the handwriting readable? Like, is it in English, or..?

The men, knowing that they probably run faster than the Xains in full armor, find a ridge lined with trees. The begin shooting at them while still keeping around half a bowshot away (Around 200 meters). They aim higher looking ranks or really anyone with their guard down. Their brown and green clothing helps them blend in. Harfor uses a small spell to increase the effectiveness of the arrows.
*Large earthen spikes fall upon any Xain attacking them, as Rojinn makes another round through the army.*
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.

Some of the spikes crumble before they reach the Xains. Others hit their mark, but the soldiers keep coming, moving ever closer to the castle.

Lexos can make out the following (corrected for spelling):
There once was a man Named Egolius Grandius Maximu- If there were two words to desc- They would be “the best”!
He had a horse named Horsi- But he ran away. So he got one named Stee- Whom he rides to this da-
The endings of most of the lines are cut off. The piece must once have belonged to a much larger sheet.
Lexos reads the piece of paper. Egol? Lexos thought for a moment, then folded it and put it in his pocket. He shoved the other spilled items back into Albies's bag and picked it up.
*Large earthen spikes fall upon any Xain attacking them, as Rojinn makes another round through the army.*
Some of the spikes crumble before they reach the Xains. Others hit their mark, but the soldiers keep coming, moving ever closer to the castle.
Wouldn't crumbling do more damage? Also: *Archers from the castle begin firing, as well as the four catapults.* *Rojinn fires Ice upon the Xain as he sees the earth crumble. His first pass creates an Ice Wall around all but a few soldiers, preventing them from reaching the castle.*

*Gor'El spits lightning on them as he passes over, Xavic slashes like a madman as he charges through the horde*
Some of the lightning seems to bend so as not to hit them. As they continue to march, Xavic's attacks do little except get him stuck in the middle of the army.

OOC: I was thinking that they would crumble into pieces of a fairly harmless size, but in some cases possibly.
IC: Some soldiers come forward with barrels of oil, which they light with torches. As they do, the fire leaps out and begins to melt the ice wall. Bits of the melted wall rush towards the castle.

*Gor'El lands near Xavic and starts attacking the Xain with claw and breath, Xavic charges a Xainish captain.*

OOC: Ok, makes sense.
Also, despite having it be an efficient method of melting the ice, most of the backlash from the fire would end up towards the Xain, and even that that is sent towards the castle isn't likely to do anything except make the ground in front squishy.

The Xains that Gor'El attacks fight back, but the rest ignore him, continuing to march forward.
