Harfor takes action. He sets most of his archers on the wall but takes his best troops with him to a little meeting.
OOC: Is the castle surrounded yet? Or could they possibly get out the other side?
OOC: It's not surrounded, but the Xains are making steady progress towards it despite heavy losses.
OOC: Thanks!
IC: Harfor and his men (About 15 total) repel off the wall with the help of a few dragon knights. They first go strait back from the castle for a while and then use rocks, ridges and trees to get themselves along the flank of the army. they hide in a group of trees.

OOC: If you join the battle, I have something for you. If you stay in the castle, I have something too. In the mean time....
As Lexos enters the castle, Albeis walks up to him. "Ah, Lexos. Welcome. Might you know the whereabouts of my pack? I seem to have misplaced it."
Lexos inclines his head. "Your pack? Unfortunately, I have not seen it recently." Lexos remembers that Alpida was suspicious about Albeis, so he cautiously dismounted, keeping his eyes on Albies.

"That is what I expected. Farewell for now, Lexos. If you wish to help in the battle, perhaps visit the meeting room. Some of them may still be there."

OOC: Good memory.
IC: "Yes, I will visit the meeting room. Well, goodbye, and I hope you find your pack." Lexos says, then walks away, heading towards the meeting room.

OOC: I had forgotten until now.
No one appears to be in the meeting room. As Lexos enters, he trips over something on the floor. When he looks to see what it is, he finds that it is Albeis' backpack. Some of its contents have spilled.

Lexos grabs hold of something to steady himself, then looked at Albies's pack. Oh, Lexos thought, there it is. Lexos looked at the spilled contents.

The men, knowing that they probably run faster than the Xains in full armor, find a ridge lined with trees. The begin shooting at them while still keeping around half a bowshot away (Around 200 meters). They aim higher looking ranks or really anyone with their guard down. Their brown and green clothing helps them blend in. Harfor uses a small spell to increase the effectiveness of the arrows.

Most of the contents appear fairly normal- healing herbs and scrolls- but two things stand out. The first is a shard of metal that appears to once have been part of a sword blade and the second is a scrap of yellowed paper with writing on it in what looks like the large, blocky handwriting of a child.

They find a few targets, but none appear to be of a high rank.
OOC: I'll give you something soon. I just want to wait for other plotlines to move forward a little.
The battle is watched by scouts from trees not far away. They return to the Lion Host. One reaches a high-ranking general.
"Sir, shouldn't we attack? They're numbers grow by the minute!"
"No. Our orders are quite clear; Demiu does not wish to attack until they have fully committed to the siege. Until then, the Xain cannot know we are here."
