"Archers, form a line and open fire upon the Xains but make sure you aim carefully, because any of our allies could be down there!" Lexos shouts, "everyone with melee weapons, charge!" Lexos runs forward.
Seeing the Forest Band troops charging, Sairse waits until the Xains turn their attention to them and then sends a large part of the minotaur force in to attack the Xains from the rear.
OOC: How many soldiers do you have?
OOC: About eighty I believe. I'll switch back to in character when Winnjetbrick replies.
As Gidie and the others complete the spell, the ground begins to shake. They see the castle trembling in the distance, and then it is suddenly swallowed up by the earth, along with all of the surrounding Xains. Three dragons hover above the sinkhole- the mother and the two surviving children. Where the castle once stood is now only a shallow pit filled with dirt and rubble. Staring on in awe, Gidie mutters, "I'm glad I chose to weaken the spell. I can't imagine what would have happened if I'd tried the full version."
"I do not think we would be standing here if you had used the full version." Drake says "Now what?"
"I guess we go help with the other battles. The minotaurs and Forest Band could probably use a sorcerer, so why don't you go help them while I go with Darthraxx?"
As he draws close to the battle, he is able to make the following assessments: 1. The army in crimson and white, who he now knows to be the enemy, are winning against their opponents dressed in black. 2. The army in black is under attack by magic as well, but don't appear to have any magic-users of their own. 3. There is a large stone dragon flying above the battle. It appears to be struggling against some largely unseen force, likely magical in nature.
Getting a little closer, he finds a black-furred minotaur waving towards him from a position a short distance from the battle.

Demiu tears his gaze from the sinkhole. "Excellent work, Gidie."
The Lion Knight nods to nineteen Warriors of the Northern Sun, who bring horses for themselves, Demiu, and Corellus.
"Come, General. It's time we returned you to your folk at the Tavern."
"Very well. Can I get a hand up?" He nods at his bindings. "I don't think I could quite manage by myself in this condition."
Demiu nods to a soldier. "Alberad, help him." One of the men helps Corellus mount his steed. He undoes the ropes tying the general's ankles together while he gets into the saddle, then redoes them, so that Corellus' legs are bound both to the straps on the horse's belly, and to each other.

The rest of the men mount.
Corellus remains placid and cooperative as he is tied up.

OOC: Less that that I'm afraid, though I don't know how much. We had more people in our HQ when this whole thing started.
IC: Harfor and a few men go opposite to the minotaur group, pressing the Xain from both sides. Amion loses one of his knives and picks up a broken shield.

Gidie joins the Dragon Knights as they head toward the shore.

"That was a weakened version!? no matter, we have the advantage. We must hurry, and route them while we still can!"
*Darthraxx charges towards Rojinn and the Sorcerers, after rallying any Dragon Knights just standing around.*
Actually, where are the Dragon Knights right now? I don't really know.
As Darthraxx charges towards the battle, he finds the Kriatoma army in disarray and leaderless, barely holding their own against the Xains. They also seem to be under attack from a group of Old Magic-users, who are protected by a wide ring of Xain soldiers. Meanwhile, Rojinn is struggling against the elemental sorcerers scattered among the bulk of the Xain army.
Kestrel draws his bow and arrow, advancing toward the battle. He keeps himself aware of his surroundings, scanning the chaos for the leader here.
The soldiers in black appear to be leaderless. He does not see a clear single leader among the enemy. As he advances, the minotaur begins to approach him. "Have you come from the castle? What happened?"
"Yes, I have. I'm not quite sure what happened there, exactly." Kestrel gives a weak grin. "What's going on here?"

The minotaur sighs. "Where to begin. First of all, the Kriatoma lost their leader, and no one's stepped up to replace him, so they're in chaos. Add to that the fact that they're being targeted by a group of sorcerers, and things are not going well. Fortunately, Rojinn is distracting the rest of the sorcerers, but it's anyone's guess as to how long they can hold it together. If you ask me, our best chance is to get to their general and smash him, but I don't know who could do that."

IC: Harfor and a few men go opposite to the minotaur group, pressing the Xain from both sides. Amion loses one of his knives and picks up a broken shield.
OOC: Not much less. I might put it between sixty and seventy, a little less than half of what you had at the beginning. You don't lose trained troops when people go inactive.
IC: Trapped between the forces, the Xains struggle to hold the line, for now. Their numbers are still far greater, but the arrival of the Forest Band has greatly changed the odds.

OOC: Ha ha, nice.
IC: "Hm... whereabouts is this general?" Kestrel scans the forces.
