"Everything, Lexos. Everything's wrong. I'd rather not talk right now." He walks away.
"I know everything is wrong. Was it ever right? This entire world is riddled with war." Lexos said.
"Of course it is. That's the way it's always been. That's the way it will always be. None of us will ever be able to do anything about it. That's what no one sees, what I only see now." He trails off. After a moment, he says, abruptly, "I think it's time for me to leave."

"Where would you go?" Lexos asked. "If the Xains win this battle, then they will spread war to far away lands and probably eventually conquer everything. Unless there are others who can stop them. But before you leave, I must ask you something. You know about the battle at the Tower of Time, and someone said something about you about age or whatever, but that detail isn't so important right now. But I knew about the scrap of paper you were looking for, which was was about Egolius and you had said something about it being of personal importance. And then, later on I heard Logaire asking something about what has Time done to you. Well, I was wondering if that referred to that thing we fought at the Tower of Time which controlled time. I was frozen in time, but someone said that Egolius disappeared, taking that thing which I suspect is Time we fought with him. I thought he was dead, but now I don't suspect he is." Lexos paused to let what he said sink in, then asked "are you Egolius by any chance whatsoever?"

"You're assuming the Xains will win. There may be hope yet, though what I've seen from you so far doesn't make it look too likely." He laughs. "Am I Egolius? I am Albeis." His face suddenly goes serious and he leans in close. "Ask me who I was."

"I said if, not when. I am just taking some of the worst possibilities into consideration." Lexos frowns. "Were you Egolius then? I must know."

Albeis takes a deep breath. "I was a boy with a story and a dream. I followed them until they consumed me, hollowed me out, and I became the dream. That was how I lived for years, in a world of my own imagining, until suddenly, violently, the dream was torn away and I saw myself clearly for the first time, saw a fool who believed himself a hero. Then, just when I was starting to regain a sense of self, it was taken from me again. Can you imagine what it's like to live thousands of years one moment at a time, flung across time and space, seeing everything and comprehending a mere fraction yet still more than the human mind is meant to comprehend? That was my life when Time had me. And then, again without warning, it stopped. I returned to the world once again, only I landed fifty years before I'd even been born. I spent a long time wandering this continent, and then I came back here because I thought there was something left for me. I was wrong. So, Lexos, I will tell you who I am: I am the man who was born Egol, who called himself Egolius, who is now Albeis. Is that enough for you?"
He practically screams the last sentence. But before Lexos can say anything, he begins to speak again. "Now, Lexos, let me tell you a little something about who you are. You are not Ranwell Arche. You are not Ugh the troll. You are barely even the leader of your own people; if anyone, that's Harfor!" He turns to Demiu. "And you, Demiu! You are not Duke Arthurian. Tell me, if you are a leader, where are your followers?" To Darthraxx: "The same goes for you, Darthraxx! You saved your kingdom, brought it back from destruction But what have you done since then? Perfected your own powers? Conquered a fortress, then left it to lead a patchwork army in a war that barely needed it?" He gestures wildly around. "Can a single one of you tell me what is happening in the battle right now, while you sit here and lick your wounds?"

OOC: Wow. harsh. Love it, this is good stuff. My only question is where you are going with this.
*Darthraxx stutters at this, shuts his mouth for a few seconds and then begins to speak.* "I'll admit I have been somewhat derelict in my duties, but I have brought the kingdom back from nothing! I was a farm boy with magic before, you can't expect me to do things without mistakes! And I have brought a large stone army to protect us! and, I mean, I do kind of know what's going on. Gidie is evacuating the castle, and Rojinn is attacking the sorcerers. anyone else still out their was never a part of our plan, right?" *Starting the 'speech' composed, Darthraxx finishes rambling, rationalizing and more.*
