Once everyone was safely back on Chima, the 8 heroes and their friends told Lagravis and the others about their adventures, and about Cragger creating the monster person. "Hmm, I suppose this monster you speak of might have been quite a lot of trouble if it had found its way onto Chima," said Lagravis. "But there's no way it can find its way all the way up here. So I suppose we're safe." Meanwhile, the monster was sneaking into the Lion CHI Temple. It had stowed away on the WindShadow, and now it planned to steal all the CHI. But it was getting late, and the lion guards inside were locking up the CHI chamber for the night. The monster decided to hide in the guest room for the night. But little did he know that Cragger and Eris were spending the night at the lion temple. Cragger would be sleeping in Laval's room, but Eris was going to be in the guest room just down the hall, the same guest room that the monster was hiding in. That night, Eris walked into the guest room. The monster was hiding under the bed. Eris put on her pajamas, got in the bed, and turned out the light. The monster didn't know what to do, so he waited under the bed. A few hours later, he started trying to get out. Eris was suddenly startled awake from her slumbers when she heard a scratching noise coming from under the bed. She gasped and opened her eyes. The monster stopped. Eris tried to go back to sleep, but soon it started again. She slowly got out of the bed and started to bend down to look underneath. The monster growled, and Eris screamed and ran out of the room. She ran down the hall and knocked on Laval's door. The monster seized the moment and escaped. "No one will find out that a dinosaur is staying here tonight," he chuckled to himself. "Because I am the great Raptore, soon-to-be king of all Chima, hee, hee, hee, hee, hee."
"Come in," said Laval. Eris burst into the room. "Why were you screaming, Eris?" asked Cragger, who was sleeping on the floor in his sleeping bag. "You look terrified. You woke us both up." "Laval!" whispered Eris in a nervous voice. "There's a monster under my bed!" Laval looked confused. "What? A monster under your bed? Eris, what's going on? You sound like a little kid when you say that," asked Laval. "I know, but I'm positive," Eris replied. "I was woken up by a scratching noise, and when I started to look under my bed, it growled at me!" Laval and Cragger looked at each other. "Eris, I'm sure it was all just a dream," Laval reassured her. "You can go back to bed now." "But I ran out here as soon as it happened. I didn't wake up. And I never sleepwalk." "Okay, look, Eris, I'll take you back to the guest room with Cragger and we'll all three look under the bed to make sure there's no monster." "Oh, okay," the nervous eagle replied. And so the three friends went back to the guest room together. "Look, Eris," Laval said. "There's no monster under your bed." Everyone looked under the bed. Of course, by then, Raptore had left, so there was nothing under the bed. "It must have all been a dream." "But it all seemed so real," Eris insisted. "Could it have been another vision?" suggested Cragger. "I don't think so," answered Eris. "Fluminox said that not all of my visions came from the phoenix, but that having them around enabled me to receive them. Now that the phoenix have gone back to the sun, I don't think I can get visions anymore." "Well, whatever happened, you're okay now," said Laval calmly. "Now you can go back to sleep." "Oh, okay, I guess," agreed Eris. And so everyone went back to sleep.
The next morning, everything was fine. Laval was calmly eating his CHIrios and talking with Cragger and Eris one last time before they left, when suddenly, Longtooth burst in. "LAVAL!" he cried. "What is it, Longtooth?" asked Laval hurriedly. "ALL OUR CHI IS GONE!!!!"

Excuse me but uh, are you going to continue this?
[/a][/quote]*is startled awake* What? Oh, uh..... sure! (I figured everyone had forgotten about it.)
"WHAT?!?" cried the lion prince in shock. "What happened to it?" "We don't know," replied a confused Longtooth. "We thought everything was perfect now, but something has happened to the CHI." "Weird," Laval thought for a moment. "What could have happened to the CHI?" "All our guards can say," explained Longtooth, "is that some monster attacked them in the middle of the night. They say no one got a good look at it, but it obviously had sharp teeth and claws, as some of the guards have large scars and scratches to back up their story." "I see," said Laval in thought, "it's not the only report of a monster we've had last night. Eris woke me up in the middle of the night screaming and saying there was a monster under her bed. Then we went and checked and there was no monster." "If this whole thing is true," wondered Cragger, "could Eris's monster have escaped when she came to tell us and then attacked the guards and stolen the CHI?" "I guess it's possible," said Laval. "YES!" shouted Eris. "I KNEW there was a monster!" "Wait a minute," said Laval. "If a monster stole the CHI, then wouldn't we have an evil new monster tribe person rampaging through the temple?" "Kind of like that monster thing that ate my CHI down below Chima," remarked Cragger. "Yeah," said Laval. "Could it have somehow got back up here with us?" "Hmmmm..." everyone thought for a while. Just then, Lavertus ran in. "I have no idea what you four are trying to figure out. Or...do I? Okay, I don't. But I do have another mystery outside." "And what exactly would that be?" asked Longtooth. "Well, you see," the ex-exiled lion began, "my WindShadow is flying away!" "WHAT?!?" cried Laval in shock. Everyone ran outside to see, and sure enough, there was the WindShadow, flying away as if it had a mind of its own.
But of course, the WindShadow wasn't flying away all on its own. Raptore was at the wheel, maneuvering the twin blade towards the outlands. He flew past the outlands and off of Chima, down to the land from which he came. After he landed, he hopped out, holding the stolen CHI from the lion temple. He walked around with the CHI, searching for more dinos. He soon came across the two flying reptiles that Eris, Razar, and Eglor had met. "Aaaah, two injured Pteranodons," he said. "Some of this should make you feel better." He pulled out two CHI orbs and gave one to each of them. In a flash, the two huge creatures had turned into smaller, smarter, bipedal Pteranodons. "Come," said Raptore, and he led them away. "We must find more dinos." The two Pteranodons followed him. Soon they came across more Velociraptors, some T-Rexes, and a Triceratops. Raptore gave most of them CHI. But Raptore was smarter than to give them all CHI. He knew that if they were to take over Chima, they would need brains AND brawn. He knew that non-CHI dinos were much stronger than ones who had felt the power of nature itself, and left some of his dinos the way they were. When Raptore had created a large army of dino minions, he led them all back to the WindShadow. "Greetings, my minions!" he cried. "I am your ruler, King Raptore! If you will all help me, we can take over Chima!" and he pointed at Chima, floating in the sky. "We must forge weapons, build vehicles, and do everything it takes to create a strong army!" "Yeah!" his subjects shouted. "Let's get right to it!" "WAIT!" cried King Raptore. "You may all forge weapons, but if everyone has vehicles, we will not be able to take them all up there. Only the Pteranodons can make their vehicles now, since theirs will fly. Once we are up there on Chima, the rest of us can make some." "Yes, King Raptore!" the dino army shouted. And the work began.
Meanwhile, back up on Chima, Laval, Longtooth, Lavertus, Cragger, and Eris were still pondering over what had happened to the WindShadow. They couldn't figure anything out for a while, and eventually Cragger and Eris had to leave. But soon after that, Longtooth thought of something. "Could this possibly have some connection to last night's CHI theft?" he wondered out loud. "I don't know," replied Laval. "But one thing's for sure, both events are just as mysterious." "Perhaps," said Lavertus, "but we can't just stand here while my WindShadow is flying away! We have to do something!" "It went towards the outlands, though," Laval pointed out. "Even with all the fog and trap plants gone, we still can't just waltz right into the outlands. There's lots of thick vegetation and sticky mud! We'd have to plan it for a few days." "Okay, then, let's start planning!" said Lavertus. "I want to get my WindShadow back as soon as possible. It's one of my most valuable possessions! Or.....is it? Hee, hee, hee." "Okay," said Laval. "I guess we can start planning." "I'll go tell Lagravis," said Longtooth, and he ran off. Over the next few days, the expedition was all planned out. Laval and Lavertus planned to take along Eris, Cragger, Gorzan and the gorillas, and some mammoths including Mungus (the latter two to help get the WindShadow back to the lion temple.) In a few days, everyone was ready. They were about to head out when they heard and felt a rumbling and shaking. "What's going on?" asked Mottrot. "I would think there wouldn't be any earthquakes in a perfect world." Just then, a huge army appeared on the horizon. But it wasn't just any army. It was King Raptore's dino army.
"Uh, Laval," Cragger asked nervously. "What's that?" "I don't know," his friend replied, "but something tells me we should....RUN!!!!!!!! BACK TO THE TEMPLE!" The small group of animals quickly fled back to the safety of the lion temple. "Hahahahaha!" cried Raptore. "Look at them, they haven't even STARTED fighting us, and they're already fleeing in fear of my mighty army! At this rate, Chima will be mine in no time!" Chima will be mine. The words just barely reached Laval's ears. His mind flashed back to the time when Cragger was under the control of his scheming sister. "Chima will be MINE!" the crocodile had said. The exact same words had also come out of the mouth of Sir Fangar, back when he and his hunters were spreading their deadly ice across the land of Chima. "Chima shall be MINE!!!" Laval realized the same thing Cragger had, that first day of the hunters' evil rampage, when they had attacked and frozen the crocodile swamp. "Something bad is here!" Laval said out loud. "What's that?" asked Lavertus as he turned around to face his nephew. "Everybody!" shouted Laval. "We must fight back against this new threat!" "What?" asked Cragger in shock. "I thought now that everything was perfect, the fighting was going to end!" "Not everything is perfect, Cragger," Laval realized in dismay. "Only Chima is. And that..." he paused as he pointed to the oncoming dino army, "...is not from Chima." The lion prince raised his voice to call out to the others near him as well. "Quick, everyone! As I said, we must fight back! Mammoths, quick, get to your Mammoth Stompers! Gorillas, your Gorilla Strikers! Eris, you go tell the other tribes what's happening, and bring them here, quickly! We've got a battle to fight!" And, he thought as the others ran off to do what he had said, it's going to be a tough one.
