"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA................," Laval and Cragger yelled as they fell, fell, fell off of Chima. Cragger had been right. The two friends fell so far and so long that they thought they would never land. Their arms were sore, their legs were stiff, and Cragger could hardly feel his tail. But they were not going to keep falling forever. They could see more ground below. "CRAGGER, CHI UP!" Laval yelled at the top of his lungs. They both pulled out their CHI orbs and placed them in their chest. They felt a surge of power, and then everything went black.
A few minutes later, Cragger slowly opened his eyes. He looked around him and couldn't tell where he was. Then he remembered everything. He quickly looked over to his left to make sure Laval was okay. There he was, lying there, still unconscious, with the glow of the CHI he had plugged still around him. Cragger looked around, observing their surroundings. Then he looked up. Eris and Razar were falling, and above them, Sir Fangar and L'iella. Cragger pulled his friend out of their way and they landed. Soon everyone had made it to the bottom safely. Laval had regained consciousness, and he started counting everybody to make sure they were all there. Eris, Razar, Sir Fangar, L'iella, Tormak, Crooler, Lavertus, Eglor, Worriz, Gorzan, Rogon, and Bladvic. They were all there. "Okay," Laval began, "we have just made a revolutionary discovery. Chima is flat!" Everyone cheered except Eris, who was wondering what Eglor would say. "In a couple of hours, our friends will be here to pick us up and bring us back to Chima. The Helecrocter, the WindShadow, and some eagle and raven jets will fly down to get us. We have that long to explore this place and get back here. Let's go!"
Right as everyone was starting to walk away, Eglor stopped them. "WAIT!" he called. "Look at this." He pointed to a massive hole in the ground, one which no one could even see the other side of, no matter how much they tried. It was right underneath Chima. "Chima used to be right here," Eglor explained. The Illumination must have made Chima rise from the ground, just like it made Mount Cavora rise from Chima. The first Illumination, not the new, perfect one." "So THAT'S why Chima is flat," exclaimed Laval, "when all the other planets your astronomers see are round!" "Makes sense to me," said Cragger. Suddenly, everyone (except Bladvic, who was asleep) heard a slight rustle. The quiet sound of it made Bladvic wake up, and then he heard it, too. "What was that?" asked Cragger nervously. Gorzan looked behind a bush in the direction the noise had come from. He saw a blurry shape swiftly run away. "Dude, who are you?" he called. There was no answer."This is getting creepy," Eris said. But just then, everyone's attention was diverted to something entirely different. "What's that?" L'iella asked, pointing up at the sky. Everyone looked up. Silhouetted against the sun were two enormous shadows, flying away like birds. "Don't know," replied Eglor. "It's like nothing I've ever seen before." "It must be one of those featherless, fanged birds from the legend!" Cragger said. "Let's go check it out!" cried Eris. "Come on, Razar! Eglor!" "Ah, yes, my friend," replied Razar. "The only way to know for sure what it is is to go see for ourselves, yes?" And the three birds flew up toward the mysterious objects in the sky.
As Eris, Razar, and Eglor flew up to the creatures, Cragger was worried sick."Those MUST be the featherless birds with fangs! I mean, Chima is flat, why shouldn't the rest of the legend be true too?" "I see your point, Cragger," Laval replied. "But I'm sure our friends will be fine. They're just going up for a quick peek to find out what those are. They'll be right back, safe and sound.......I hope." In the meantime, the three birds kept gaining altitude, and now, they were almost close enough to find out what those mysterious animals were. Razar was getting a bit too curious, and he flew right up to one of the things! Luckily, he was underneath it, and it didn't see him. Razar observed the creature very carefully. "This is quite interesting, yes? The wings have no feathers! They're more like big bones with thin layers of skin stretched between them. Sort of like bat wings, yes?" "Hmmmmm, I see," Eglor thought for a moment. "Could these be the weird birds from Cragger's legend?" "I don't know," replied Eris. "Razar's description sure seems to match it. I wonder if they have fangs?" "Well, only one way to find out, my friends!" "RAZAR, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!" the two eagles called out. But Razar paid no attention. He was so determined to find out the truth, he flew right in front of the thing! The eagles gasped. What would happen to their friend? The flying creature screeched, revealing rows of sharp teeth in its beak. "AAAAAAAAAAH!" Razar cried. Both creatures were now staring straight at the bird, and they obviously planned to catch him.
Both of the animals were now closing in on Razar. "RAZAR!!!!!" the eagles cried in distress. The creatures heard them yelling and diverted their attention to them. "Razar, go, go, go!" cried Eris. "We'll distract them!" Razar turned around and flew in the other direction as Eris and Eglor quickly flew above and around the featherless flying things, confusing them. Soon the two creatures were worn out from chasing the darting, flying eagles. With one last desperate attempt to catch the birds, the unidentified flying animals hit each other and were both knocked out! They fell to the ground, and as they fell, one of them brushed against Eris. She shuddered as she felt the cold, scaly skin of the thing. As the three birds flew back down to their friends on the ground, Eris thought about the way it felt. Scaly? she thought. And no feathers? And it even has teeth! As the three feathered friends landed, Cragger quickly ran over to them. "Eris, Razar, Eglor!" he cried. "What were those things?" "I have no idea, my friend," answered Razar. "Yet I can tell you one thing, yes? Those things were most certainly the bird things from your legend, my friend." "I agree with you there," said Eris. "But I can tell you something else, too. Those things were NOT birds. As they fell to the ground, one of them brushed against me. Its skin felt more like......a reptile." "FLYING REPTILES?!?!?" Cragger exclaimed. "That's ridiculous!" "I'm not joking, though," the eagle princess replied. Its skin was cold and scaly." "Hmmmmmm..." thought Lavertus. "It's quite interesting, if you ask me." But just then their thoughts concerning the strange flying reptiles were interrupted by a small sound. All of a sudden, they heard that small rustling noise again. There was no doubt about it. Someone was watching them.
Just then, a large green reptilian creature jumped out of the bushes! It was just over twice as tall as Laval, and not quite as tall as Mungus. It opened its mouth, showing rows of sharp teeth. Its glowing evil eyes struck fear into them all. It had fairly short arms with terrible claws, a long, balanced tail, and large feet with HUGE curved claws on the toes! "AAAAAH! WHAT IS THAT THING?!?" Cragger yelled. The creature began to attack them. Gorzan and Rogon tried to hold it off, but even with their size and strength, the reptile was too powerful for them. Sir Fangar pulled out his Glacior and tried to stab the thing. But it simply screeched at him and yanked the weapon from his paws. "There's only one way we can defeat this thing," yelled Laval. "Everyone, CHI up!" Everyone pulled out a CHI orb. As Cragger pulled out his orb, he accidentally tripped Laval with his tail, who fell forward onto Cragger. The crocodile dropped the orb, which flew through the air and bounced off the big fang on the top of the Glacior, straight into the monster's mouth! There was a blinding surge of blue CHI energy, and when the animals looked back over at the animal, it was a smaller, smarter, bipedal creature, just like them. "Oh, great!" sighed Lavertus. "Even more new tribes? This is getting ridiculous. Or....is it?" "MORE CHI!" cried the monster. "Oh no!" screamed Eris. "It's just like the scorpions!" The monster ran through the group of animals, taking everyone's CHI and pouring it into his mouth. He got stronger and stronger, smarter and smarter. His head, arms and legs began to grow. And just when he was about to take Tormak's last few orbs of CHI, everyone heard a whirring noise from up above. The monster vanished back into the bushes as the rescue squad of eagles, ravens, the Helicrocter and the WindShadow showed up. "Need a lift?" asked Lagravis, who was at the wheel of Lavertus's twin blade. But just as the WindShadow began to rise off the ground, a green arm grabbed onto the back.
Both of the animals were now closing in on Razar. "RAZAR!!!!!" the eagles cried in distress. The creatures heard them yelling and diverted their attention to them. "Razar, go, go, go!" cried Eris. Ah, more work! More work!
What exactly does that mean? You want more, I presume?
