Tentatively I began to read through the chats, and then I began to interact. My favorite part was all the fan-fictions, especially Brickgirl99x's Burn For Me (Skylor angst ), SapphireNinja1's I Want to See the World Burn (Jay angst ), and Maggie_15's The Time/Forgotten Trilogy (Lloyd angst ).
Oh gosh, I remember The Time/Forgotten. Pity Maggie never migrated over to here...
I knowwwww, I'm still a little sad about it to this day... ( ;-; ) I do really hope those people were able to continue creating great stories long after they vanished.
~ I can’t remember how I managed to get so many friends and people to talk to daily. It seemed like one day I was a nobody, and the next I had made so many friends and had so much fun talking to them everyday and messaging them! I can’t remember when or how, but i started Sweets cafe talk, and I remember lots of fond times there!
Sweets' Café was so fun!! I have some fond memories there, thank you for hosting that.
I suppose we’re doing introductions once more, let me see how much I can remember !
I started on the LEGO galleries posting, editing and creating short stories about my Lego friends and Lego friends in general. As time went on, and hours of scrolling through Lego.com, I discovered the MBs. I lurked around and read posts and posted a few of my own! I can’t remember how I managed to get so many friends and people to talk to daily. During my time on the MBs, i wrote a lot of short stories about adventures we all had, TheGreatCon , @brian, @king, @zwales, @qui, and many more ! When the MBs shut down, i was still very active on this board site! I’m not sure why i lost interest or why i stopped posting, i think a bunch of users migrated over to a text service, and it was more convenient to talk over there Life got in the way and i started focusing on other hobbies, games and interests, making irls and such. I got through the rest of highschool and then got accepted into university. What comes next? I’m not sure!
You're back Sweets!!! Hola!!! Sweets Cafe Talk was legendary.
We were literally over in the Jurassic World board hyping up Lowery and I was missing our strongest opponent very badly.

Glad to see you back!
Cafe Talk was one of the biggest topics in CC back in the day!
You had some great stories, I gotta reread them sometime.
I think for most of us it was a combination of getting busy with life, and also other people leaving creating a snowball effect of the rest of us dropping off.
Looking forward to hearing about whatever's next!
Tbh i originally made sweets cafe talk to be a competitor to the big FF and BB threads. It failed miserably! It was pretty dead and i think i suggested the sombrero group go over there because our messages were getting too general for the Jurassic world board ? I think…? Yeah definitely! Life happens and people drift ! It’s nice to see us all back again, even if it isn’t forever
The name's aged a bit poorly, but it's me =P Yes, I'm delighted to see you again! =D It's been, like four years to my memory? =P
You'll always been Waffleboy to me. I don't go by TheGreatCon much nowadays either, got a little presumptuous. It likely has been! Did you see the newest Jurassic World movie?
It's so wonderful to see so many new users! I'm always happy to talk about (what I remember of) my history on the LMBs, if anyone cares to listen.
LMB History
I first joined the LEGO Message Boards in early November of 2015, introducing myself with an out-of-place topic in the Minecraft forum, as I have recreated as my first topic here, on the LMBE. I quickly joined the Minecraft roleplay, and it was there that I met Starwar4848, who would remain my friend throughout my time on the LMBs. I branched out into the Community Chat forum when I came up with an idea for an LMB-based video game, and wanted to receive the opinions of other users. From there, I went to the MB Stories forum to post the plot of my game in the form of a story, which inadvertently led to me writing and posting a number of other stories. These stories received moderate appreciation, and fairly consistently starred the user DarkClaw39. By the time of December of 2015, a christmas party topic was posted in the Jurassic World forum, which I joined, and was where I met several influential users like TheGreatCon and SweetCrazy6 for the first time. I would end up staying in the Jurassic World forum long after the party was over, and if I recall, I became a part of the Sombrero Club back when it was just the Sombrero Trio / Sombrero Four-o =P I had many conversations with exceptionally cool users, including teaching Brian how to use fonts and font colors while on mobile. I also, perhaps most notably participated in the Jurassic World roleplay, which would later prove to be hugely important. I was also somewhat active in the Ninjago forum, where I met Unikittyswag and wrote fanfiction together =P
I met both glubby (also known as metaknightfan4 ) on a quiz topic he made in the Ninjago forum, and attackpuppy at the aforementioned christmas party, and the three of us became friends in the Jurassic World roleplay after they picked up on a Legend of Zelda reference I made. This led to the creation of the LEGO and Nintendo Fanclub, uploaded in March of 2016 by Glubby after two unsuccessful attempts. I spent most of my time at the LEGO and Nintendo Fanclub, and it very soon began to attract members, including Ciblast , lego1999boyathome, Spiderboy614, Henny4315 , JimiFurno (also known as JimiFurno RedXD001 ), and Sogel Van Rome (also known as Sogel van Rome), among many others. Attackpuppy had to leave on March 16th, shortly after its creation, but the Fanclub persisted in his absence, and spawned at least one sub-topic, the LEGO and Nintendo Roleplay, created by Ciblast I believe. The LEGO and Nintendo Fanclub and its associated roleplay also survived the LMBs closing down in March of 2017 by moving onto the LEGO General Galleries (and was even succeeded by the Super LEGO and Nintendo Fanclub), and survived the Galleries closing down in turn by moving here!
(out of space, I'll add the other sections as replies to this one. I may enjoy discussing LMB history too much =P )
YOOOO WAFFLES!!!! I remember you!! You featured HEAVILY in my stories. Good to see you man!
A big part of the reason why I wanted to come back and sort of maintain some kind of presence is this right here. MB's gave me a safe and also really wholesome outlet as a kid, kind of a rare and yet necessary thing on the internet nowadays, and if there is gonna be some passing of the torch from the older generation to a hopeful younger generation, then I want to try and at least help keep activity going for now.
Big ups to all the mods and admins who are still going
This is a legitimately good point though. Back in our day there was a direct market of "Internet places for kids". LMB of course, but you also had stuff like Club Penguin, Poptropica, and things such as.
Nowadays that's not a thing anymore. Instead of moderated message boards you got kids on TikTok, and instead of those kid-friendly and relatively safe games the kids are now on Roblox which is a dangerous platform for a myriad of reasons. As the internet becomes more corporatized and centralized, kids these days don't have those same online experiences that we did.
There’s some foul kids on the internet now. There’s no consequences on apps or social platforms, so people will say whatever things they want and the stuff that’s “funny” to say is usually massively inappropriate for their age.
Hi again! My name is Tigress; long for LordTigress, short for Tig
I joined the original LMBs in March, 2016. Somehow my brother MockingbirdInc had found his way there, and he was hosting a multi-author Minecraft story called "Journal of a Creeper", where anyone could progress the story by adding in a chapter. I joined in, and it ended up becoming so popular that he hosted several sequels, and a couple other users even made their own variations of the format, such as "Journal of an Enderman" and "Journal of a Ghast". I didn't really leave the Minecraft forum (I was shy ). But then... I got into Ninjago. I finally decided to write my first fan-fiction (Cole angst ), but I didn't take it too seriously at times and threw in Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings whenever I felt like it. XD But a few other authors, including SapphireNinja1 and Bobofoot complimented my writing and read the whole fic, and that began to make me wonder if I should write more in the future.
My avatar at the time:
The announcement that the boards were shutting down hit me hard, because I felt as if I'd finally found a place to reach out and interact with people like me. Similarly to King, I took a bunch of screenshots, shared heartfelt goodbyes, and spent way too much time saving fan-fictions that I wanted to read over and over again. I did transfer to the LEGO Galleries a little while after, and there I reconnected with some old friends including SapphireNinja1, and I shared some art and my new fan-fiction that I was working on. Of course then They™ decided to shut down the Galleries, too, and replace it with LEGOLife. I have a leftover meme from that time.
In 2017 I heard about the LMBE (either from people on the dying Galleries or from Mock) and came here. I was thrilled to find somewhere so similar to the LMB, but also so new... as time went on I felt less like a newcomer and more like a staple of the community, especially as my friendships grew deeper over the years. I pretty much stayed on the LMBE/BB ever since. I'm not sure I've ever had a proper hiatus or anything. This place was the one place I had that felt safe and consistent during some of the hardest years of my life, and I had no one else in my life except the people here.
The LMBE/BB contain my fondest memories. I loved chatting with everyone on Finding Friendships, as well as all the other chats. Some of my favorites include BlueberryJayPie 's "Sig-Fig Mystery Party Game Thing", the bunch of Disney-related topics bun02 hosted, sharing my art, being a nomineee for "The Most Dynamic Duo" award with Gnuehchcaz , reading my friends' Ninjago fan-fictions and ofc, talking about Ninjago.
1/2
Ninjago angst stories were so good, but so difficult to keep up with because in between chapters it would just be 10 pages of fangirls going “AHHHH OMG” You gotta rope Mock back in, where is he?!

YES, pages and pages of the stuff XDD I recall SSTO was one of the most notorious for that
I'm tryingggg, but he's "busy" with "finals" and "rehearsals for the play" and "stop nagging me i literally hate you" or something
The second story is the sequel to Half-Breed. Thank you!
Your story was one of the most professionally written MB stories I ever read. If only this second one was in audiobook format, that' the only way I get to book nowadays. I wanna know what happens though.
Thank you. Unfortunately, I don't have the resources to release an audiobook.
Apparently, I joined the LMBs in 2011, although I don't recall making many posts until 2013.
I never stopped being active . . . although until recently I hadn't made a post since last August.
Number 1 is definitely Castle, especially Castle RP. For a long time, I would read every post made on those boards (hence my self-ascribed nickname the King of Castle). I also spent a lot of time on the Kingdoms RP before it ended and various other RPs. I probably joined almost every RP that was vaguely medieval fantasy themed, which was a lot, and most of them died almost immediately.
As I said, I was big in the Castle RP (perhaps too big). There was a Castle Gallery group that I was in, I think. I also spent some time in Sweets Cafe towards the end.
I don't know how I got to the LMBs, probably just by browsing the site.
I did write a couple stories, although I don't think they're particularly well-known (particularly as a majority of them happened here, not on the original LMBs). I also ran at various points a few different GM-style RPs, which I doubt anyone really remembers either.
About Myself
I'm 23, and I just finished my Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in May and started working as a Process Engineer at a greenfield EV battery plant.
It's got to be Castle or Heroica, even though I never owned a Castle set and only have one Heroica set. I really just have a lot of nostalgia for them from the LMBs.
I read a lot, mainly in the fantasy genre, and I like to walk/hike and sometimes bike (though I don't do those as much as I think I should). For the past couple years, my biggest hobby has been Dungeons & Dragons. I also started writing again recently, very short pieces that I exchange with a friend of mine on a weekly basis.
That's all I've got.
Life Updates
Well, I've graduated and I have a full-time job, so that's the main thing. I don't really have any other interesting updates.
See above.
A little bit. I probably get around 1-2 sets a year at this point, and I still have all my old collection.
No, but I have been here.
I got a poinsettia yesterday at a corporate holiday party.
That's all from me.
Rule! Good to see you man.
Congrats on the degree and the job!
You were actually the person who inspired me to try D&D btw.
Good to see you too.
Thank you!
That's funny, because I had never actually played D&D until 2020.
I've been through Nebraska on the way home from Wyoming. (and technically another time on the way there)
Something like that. Even my brother interacted with him more, so when I met him on the other platform I was like, hey my brother built that car for you that one time!
Nah it's just an empty patch of land that the government gave a name to. If you happened to see any people you were actually in Kansas or Iowa.
That's pretty cool actually
We did stop at a gas station, I'm pretty sure. And there was at least one person.
