Once the capital of Gondor, Osgiliath became a ruined town, although it was (presumably) repaired somewhat during the 4th Age. It had an interesting history, but it's Friday and I'm tired, so I won't repeat it. Go look it up instead. On Tolkien Gateway, not the One Wiki.
Anyways, in this RP, Osgiliath is considered to be partially repaired, including the bridge. Thus, in this RP, it functions as a "fortress-topic", a small region of strategic importance. In this case, it is one of a few crossing points for the Anduin river.
As a fortress-topic, it provides 500 MWE, rather than the usual 1k. It borders Minas Tirith (the Gondor HQ) to the west, and North/South Ithilien to the east.
Enjoy!
The day of prosperity makes one forget adversity; The day of adversity makes one forget prosperity.
*The tramp of heavy boots echo through the city. A tall dwarf (though still short enough to wish he had a pony ) rides through on a horse, followed by a large force of dwarves and siege engines.*
