Academics-wise, I'm on the verge of graduating high school. Haven't made my final decision for college yet because I still have one more campus tour to go on next week. I plan on majoring in psychology and possibly double majoring in something else alongside it. In terms of hobbies, I've been doing a lot of writing, songwriting, and poetry performances lately. I entered a regional poetry competition and my performance was good enough to be in the top ten. They announce our specific rankings soon so if all goes well I might get the chance to compete at the national level, but I'm not counting on it because some of the other poets I competed against were amazing.
What about you?
Ah yes, it is the time of year for college decisions. Hopefully you have lots of great options to choose from. If you find yourself in the mid-Atlantic, feel free to say hi, I know Gollymolly lives like 45min from me but I haven't seen her yet. I started PhD school for applied math this past fall and that has been going well so far. I haven't started original research yet (soon) so perhaps I will be more discouraged in a year when I'm in the thick of that. I'm not sure how much you know (or care) about current applied math topics, but I am pretty interested in machine learning (think AI). I have a pretty cool internship lined up for this summer working with natural language processing of textual data that comes from a therapy setting (which you might find cool with your interest in psych). Anyway tldr : benboy is alive and well
Poetry reading or poetry writing (or both?) I remember I tried out for poetry reading once in high school. I hadn't thought about that in years.
I actually live in the mid-Atlantic (at least I think so ) and I'm going to school in-state so that would be cool. Am I allowed to say the name of the state? I'm not sure if that would go against the rules about revealing personal info on here.
Oh wow, that's wonderful. I hope you feel very accomplished. I'm not exactly passionate about math nor do I understand it as much as I would like but I do respect it. I wish you the best of luck with your endeavors, though I'm sure you don't need it. And yes, I have heard that computer and data related sciences and AI are quite useful in psychology.
I write and perform my own original poetry. Results came out a few days ago, and I now bear the title of Youth Poet Laureate for my region.
I'm covered in the colors pulled apart at the seams~

Well, I've said enough on here over the years that it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what school I go to... It's more about revealing identifiable personal information and being comfortable in the community. Pretty sure that state is fine.
I'll feel the most accomplished when I finally finish school and get a real job. Too many years of education.
That's exciting! Congratulations. Brag about it while you can - time goes too fast.
Surprised you didn't go to the dark knight joker clapping reaction
Anything left to be said regarding the film? (Personally, pacing felt as if you were reading an actual comic book, each contained arc almost as if its own issue, stringing together to form a serial. How well that translates to film medium, depends.)

I really enjoyed it. It felt like the great Burton and Nolan films, but darker. I liked the build up. As a kid I always wondered how the villains got so many stooges, and I liked The Batman's take on explaining that. I don't think it took itself too seriously either, I liked the failed gliding scene. My favorite part was the car chase. Naturally, I have purchased the LEGO technic set for the new batmobile. And of course I love pattinson so that helped

Nice.
But my favorite line in the entire film was one user who had the audacity to say...
"Nice specs, Rdlr." I laughed way too hard and most likely frightened someone at the theater.

{Spoilers for the Batman} An accurate portrayal of the interwebs...
I missed that detail on my tiny television. I think they did a pretty good job representing internet culture overall, particularly that darker side of things. I guess it was a different experience seeing it in theaters instead of streaming... I didn't feel like sitting with strangers in the dark for 3 hours, particularly as I've heard the local city theater isn't too great and I wasn't much motivated to bus out to the nicer one.

Referring to the Batman Film? Or...how I am quite late in posting a seventh entry?
The former, but now that you mention it, also the latter
Is there a sequel confirmed for the Batman...yes. (A majority of the cast will return. Theories-Mr.Freeze arrives or they go with relatively unknown villains.)
And I present to thee...
Entry 7:
"Me and the Bois after gorging ourselves with good food."
