What was everyone's first Pokemon game? Mine was blue. I had a yellow/blue GameBoy Colour with Pikachu on the front. Though I have not played Pokemon in years. Still have blue, silver, gold, ruby and black and white 2.

I know. So expensive. I still have the original Pokemon cards, too. Some of those are selling for insane prices. It's madness.
I'm pretty sure you can get fake ones for a couple of dollars. Better than paying collector prices.

Those types of cards seem to be expensive for some reason. Also most Nintendo games and stuff in general seem to retain their value, for example DS, 3DS and Wii games are more expensive than their Xbox and Playstation counterparts. I want a 2DS XL but the games for it seem to be really expensive.

Never bought a Chima set, so I'd have no idea what to type about.

It's because of nostalgia... Both the cards and the Nintendo stuff. My brother still has our old NES in working condition. My parents gave it to our Nan in the nineties. She gave it back a few years ago having stored it for two decades. Everything old is cool again... When you can afford to buy it in the midlife.
I've never noticed any difference in game prices. To be honest, they are all very expensive. One full priced brand new video game is four hours of work.

I normally buy my games a while after they come out and they are a fraction of the price. But buying games new can be expensive, I agree with you.
