Chapter 1: The Fall of Knighton
Now that we have recovered, it's time we began recording our history again. It was quite a while ago, but our initial downfall came about when the Book of Monsters came out of its state of apathetic dormancy and brought forth all of its most powerful Scourges at once. It sent them to the town of Omelet, where they stole massive reserves of gasoline. During this sudden attack, our order was nowhere to be found, as we were too busy with the new recruits and with an attack on the city of Knightonia itself. How foolish we were to ignore that attack.
While the monsters retreated at the first sign of our presence, they made the fruits of their labors known to us quite vividly. A spy was created in the image of a simple human girl, and she went around the small city of Waterton "watering" everyone's lawns. This proved to be an absolutely lethal amount of gasoline which almost instantly destroyed the whole town. After our water supply was destroyed, it was only a matter of time before the Book's army upped the ante.
The capitol was completely destroyed in the next attack, and both our King and our Prince went missing at the time. Some reports say that Prince Allen betrayed us and sold our safety to the creature known as Feunrad, but he stood his ground against the Scourge when it was required of him. The other monsters, namely Voria and Morgio, led the charge against King Luke's forces and forced them back into the palace. It was at this point that another Scourge named Meltyd brought forth a pair of Giants that demolished the palace so rapidl we could hardly react. With the palace gone, the remainder of the city fell easily, as did the Fortrex after it.
At the Fortrex, Feunrad had decided that he would eliminate our Digi-Wizards once and for all, and fought through three Knights and an apparent traitor to the monsters in order to destroy the database. This was easily one of Knighton's darker moments, but more was to come.
