True. Yes that was awful about Carrie Fisher Still, they could CGI her in, but I feel like her family probably wouldn't want that.
She so recently died though. Peter Cushing died like 20 years ago, so his death wasn't fresh on everyone's minds.
I loved Carrie Fisher as a person for being herself but I think for story prposes Leia should die in episode 8 probably by the hand of Snoke or Kylo Ren again to add more devasation to the character which may lead him back to the light. It wouldnt make sense to make Leia just dissapear randomly in episode 9 and its far too soon to create her in CGI. SW should dfinetly not pull a Paul Walker but gracefully kill the character off and give it a huge impact on the plot and Kylo like it has had on us SW fans in RL.
Also fun fact: My dad used to see Peter Cushing reguarly in the street as he fairly lived locally and my aunt knew the stunt man for Luke Skywalker in the OT Ive also met David Prowse and scene Jerermy Bulloch aka di Boba Fett. No lie I promise.

I think she might die between Episodes 8 and 9, with a lot of backstory as to how it happened. Or scenes will be edited to make it seem like she died aboard a ship or something.
