I remember first watching Ninjago seasons 1-2 on loop during the summer vacation between fourth and fifth grade, in 2013, when Ninjago was "asleep." I joined the original LEGO Message Boards in early 2014, and I wrote some honestly bad stories looking back, but I made friends; I sometimes pay a visit to any sort of Internet archive to relive the memories. However, I fell "out of love" with Ninjago in around 2015 due to having not watched in a while and other interests taking over.
In late 2017, in my freshman year, the LEGO Ninjago Movie brought back my love for the franchise. I met my best friend (BearSoliloquy ) through sharing a usage of the LMB Eternal (as the Brick Boards was once called), and finished season 3 and watched seasons 4-7 and Day of the Departed (and Wu's Teas ); season 6 was probably my favorite then.
In early 2018, I was still a freshman, but the hype for season 8 felt as fresh as I was. I also watched season 9 in the summer.
I was so excited for Season 10 in my sophomore year, and I wasn't disappointed. Season 11 probably came out between my sophomore and junior years, and though the Fire Chapter I didn't enjoy much, the Ice Chapter was amazing. I watched season 12 around spring 2020 and I loved it.
Season 13, on the other hand, made me nervous. I was excited for a Cole season, but the idea of sorcery and spirit warriors made me shrink back (although there was already the "ritual" in season 8, so...). I did watch a few episodes, and I enjoy it a bit, so I may watch more, but I do feel a tad bit cautious.
Ah, very interesting. A bit of life being with Ninjago and a bit without Ninjago, but really cool that you're still interested and it's made a big impact in your life such as joining the LMBs and meeting Bear.
It's definitely had its ups and downs, especially the more recent seasons, but it looks like Ninjago is on a pretty good path.
