Here are some dumb Game rumors I thought where real when I was younger: Darth Maul is unlockable in Xbox 360 Minecraft, I didn't have an Xbox 360 or the 360 version of Minecraft to test this on so I thought what my friends told me was true since then had 360's
Finishing a level with a star gives you more points - Super Mario Bros. I remember when me and my dad got the NES classic for Christmas one year and my dad showed me all the old NES games, but one thing he told me about Super Mario Bros is that he heard that finishing a level with a star gives you more points, so I tried a bunch and couldn't quite get it. Eventually though, I realized most levels are designed so you can't finish a level with a star.
achieving 100% unlocks Dexter and you get to be behind the counter - Lego Star Wars (GameCube, Xbox, PS2, PC) I think I just thought this one so nobody actually told me, but I remember thinking that maybe you could get behind Dexter's counter and unlock Dexter, I also remember there being a door behind the counter and I always wondered what was behind there. But eventually, many years later, I got all the minikits and superkits (true Jedi in later copies), you do get a cool bonus level for all the superkits, but nothing more, I guess Lego Star Wars on the original Xbox was one of my first games so it makes sense I would wonder about all that.
This one isn't really a myth but it's still funny, back when Lego Star Wars: TFA was almost out, I could hardly wait and I thought that any computer could run it, not realizing that the old Laptop I used probably didn't meet any of the requirements, but anyways I thought I could get the game for free before it was even out, turned out to be nothing but spyware, and that was the end of that Computer.

I used to think that in order to get a rayquaza in Pokemon Black and White, you have to have two certain pokemon and bring them to the top of a certain building (I don't remember which). I worked really hard to get those pokemon, and it didn't work. I was so young that I didn't realize it was fake.

Someone may have already said this, but three words: L is real.
EDIT: I'm actually the second one to post on this topic...

WOW! Okay, so how was this not found for almost two and a half decades? And is that what L is real actually meant? Or is that just a coincidence?
Source code of an earlier build of the game was leaked on that date, if the leaker just held onto this stuff and waited until the 2401 lined up with the years/months the game has been out is unknown.

Wow, if that's the case then how long do you think they've had it, just waiting? It would be cool to know something like that that everyone else has been going crazy about for so many years...but it would take a ton of patience!
