Was thinking about the LMBs and remembered the minutes online requirement (considering how much time I put into cracking the MB ranks it's not like I could forget). Thus, I figured I'll make this topic where anyone can discuss their fond memories of this absolutely terrible facet of the MB ranks. I'll also tell some classic stories for the newbies' enjoyment. Stay tuned, I guess.
True story: I was trying to test out the potential of having likes received, posts, and minutes online to be the thing that determined the rank system (I was testing it out before I got promoted to a designer on LMBE). I think it's probably possible. I never finished the test, but the way I was gonna do minutes online I think was like timestamps and stuff.

Elaborate on the timestamps thing, I am intrigued
I was going to subtract the amount of days you have been online with the amount of days since you joined, or something like that. I don't really remember exactly what my plan was, or if it actually was possible to do.

I didn’t realize days online were tracked. How does it do that?

I don't remember, sorry. Maybe like in a few weeks I'll play around with it again, and get back to you.

Understandable. It doesn't really matter anyway. In all honestly, you guys should consider scaling down the ranks so it's actually possible to get to rank 29, maybe set Alien (rank 29) at 30,000 posts (or maybe 40,000?) it doesn't seem like people will ever make that many on here and it'd be fun to see the old ranks again.

That's be a bit difficult. We'd have to change every rank requirement before that as well. Anyway, I'm sure someone will make it one day (even if it requires hacking).
