The Four Seasons (Le quattro stagioni) is a group of four violin concerti by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, each of which gives musical expression to a season of the year. -Wikipedia. This kinetic sculpture pays it tribute!
I've always loved Vivaldi's piece, The Four Seasons, and I believed that a representation of it in Lego would be a beautiful tribute to this great composer's most famous work: the harmony of nature and the instrument interwoven in rapturous melody.
The build consists of two of the stringed instruments the piece is traditionally performed with—a cello accompanied by two violins—in front of a kinetic display of the four seasons. Any of three crankshafts at the back can be turned to rotate the four dioramas in opposing motion.
