I know I'm 2 years late, but that should've been plenty of time for y'all to have an answer to this question
I think I sold my collection of Lego Friends back in,,,,,, 2018ish, as I was under a lot of stress and felt guilty for not playing with my LEGO, recently though, my love rekindled out of nowhere and the memories of the LMBs, the show, sets and of course, the gallery came back and I'm in the process of buying LEGO Friends once again!
At first, I wasn't sold on the reboot, sure, the representation of the theme is incredible, (and they stopped white washing Andrea in the new show.) I mean, the sets weren't like the "good old sets !!! back in myyyyyy day we had a billion horse sets and maybe a house if we were lucky." But I've come to appreciate that, this reboot is different but in a totally good way. (Except Olivia's personality in the show is horrendous :/)

So, in short, me me like reboot, what about u?
I like the reboot too. The sets seem to be alright, perhaps not as classic as before, but things definitely have changed as the audience has grown.
I personally like the show much better than the old show. The old show was more about the drama and school and random stuff, which wasn't completely bad, but sometimes that stuff gets a little cringy, or just weird at times. Even though the new show makes the 5 friends more like local superheroes which isn't very realistic, I do like that they're doing something more interesting and exciting than random drama, and there's an element of mystery and suspense in the overall story arc that makes me want to find out what happens next after every episode. Yeah, I could agree that Olivia's personality has suffered quite a bit and now she's much simpler and not as deep, but ah well, makes it easier for the young kids, I guess.
