In my opinion, the golden age of Ninjago was 2011-2015. It kind of went downhill for me after season 5. I didn't like season 6 or Day of the Departed, and I thought the movie and season 7 were both just alright at best. Seasons 8-10 were kind of a renaissance, finally with an overarching story again, instead of just one-off stories that were mostly ignored later, like seasons 6 and 7. But I think season 10 probably should've been the end, as Ninjago seems to have devolved now into a generic comedy cartoon with 11-minute episodes.

Season 6 is ridiculously good, I don't care what anyone says.
