The Keeper, Cahoon.
Come Sun, take your place in the sky.
Come and meet the moon so high,
let your rays shine on my trees
warm the winds and cool the seas.
The creatures come to watch me dance,
I dance upon the dew and grass.
Fear not! Fear not! Forest I keep,
For I am the keeper, and I am Cahoon!
I dance on the water, and I meet the moon,
It is I who protect the doe, fox and coon.
I walk with the stars,
If you have need, I’m never far.
The men want to cut Old Willow,
and hunt the deer
and kill the bear.
Those men dare not come here!
This is my domain.
I let none in.
Come oh doe, and buck, and fawn.
come and see the night is gone.
come and dance on the dew with me.
Come, bird, and kit.
Snake and bee.
The night is no more!
The dawn’s come to shore.
So ya. How'd ya'll like it?

That's very pretty! I have this mental picture of a nimble character dancing barefooted among the dew and the grass beneath the full moon. ^v^ Very nicely done.
