As they start off, Azril glances at her with concern. "You feeling all right?"
"I'm fine. Don't worry about me." At first, they make a good pace, but after a while Maicyn begins to slow, her breathing far more labored than it would normally be by this time of day.

This time he asks, "What can I do to help?"
Maicyn tries to sigh, but it turns into a hacking cough. "We can slow down a bit, I guess. But we're not stopping until we reach the mountains."
"I'm not so sure about that..." he mutters. He glances around, as if hoping for a village to pop out of nowhere.
Despite Azril's best efforts, nothing materializes. Maicyn grits her teeth and presses onwards.
The further they go, the higher Azril's concern rises. He keeps looking around for any sign of a village. At one point he says, "Here, let me help you" and moves to throw Maicyn's arm over his shoulder to help her along.

Maicyn grudgingly accepts his aid. Together, they move forward, the mountains now in sight.
For the rest of the night, they continue, Maicyn pushing forward despite any of Azril's attempts to stop her. Finally, they arrive at the base of the mountain range, where Azril can see shelter readily available. Maicyn takes another step, stumbles, and falls to the ground.

"Maicyn!" He kneels down and tries to shake her awake. "No, no, c'mon--! We're almost there...!"

Slowly, she staggers back to her feet, leaning heavily against Azril.

"C'mon..." He continues to mutter in what sort of sounds like an encouraging voice, though the way his eyebrows are furrowed betray his worry. "We're almost there, then you can rest, and I'll get you some food..." He half-drags her to the base of the mountain.

As the sun appears on the horizon, they find shelter beneath a rocky outcrop. Maicyn sags to the floor and is soon fast asleep.

Worried, Azril searches through their supplies, desperately hoping for something that could be used to help her.

He is able to find an extra blanket and enough previously-collected dry kindling to start a small fire, but nothing that looks like it will be able to treat her sickness.

Helplessly he stares at their meager supplies. After a minute, he takes the blanket and covers Maicyn with it. He collects the kindling and some dry sticks into a small pile and searches for something to create a fire with, such as flint. Meanwhile Robin wanders around sniffing things.

Azril is easily able to find this and before too long a small fire is flickering in the cave.
Robin finds the smells of a few animals that may have passed through, but nothing too large or too recent. Mostly, everything smells like rain.

Azril tries clambering up a high place in order the scan the area for any sign of a town, though taking care not to wander too far.
